It will be good to eat as many different foods as you can because that is how you get permanent hearts in this game which will help alot against infurno mobs. I think you can get like 60+ hearts if you eat all the hundreds of different kinds of food.
More good GT:NH content, nice! I'm very casually starting my own playthrough as well where my eventual goal is MV, though I'm unsure as of yet if I want to disable pollution or not...
Really looking forward to this! I played a GregTech skyblock modpack with GregTech CE that skipped a lot of the early-game grinding (because myself and friends weren't interested in that part of it) so I look forward to seeing how it's 'meant' to go
Thanks! I'm not sure I'll be the best example of how it's "meant" to go but I guess following the quest book will at least provide some amount of normal progression haha :D
Interesting. I literally found out about GT:NH yesterday. Since the semester is over, I can possibly start making UA-cam videos. Edit: I heard it was the hardest tech modpack in Minecraft. Considering that I prefer challenges over speedruns like with other factory games, I decided to give this one a try.
It`s really a good idea stay close to world spawn on the beginning because u player will die A LOT. Even better change the map until u find a close location to water and a relatively humidity biome, both close to spawn. The better place to put the first base is a region with gravel (rivers in hotter biomes). The sweet spot is a biome close to a desert for latter silicon raw sources (sand, hardened sand) and with some terracota (stained clay in this version of minecraft)
I didn't die too much in the beginning, and you can easily get a bed on day 1 or 2 (this is one place where I think the questbook isn't great. There's no reason not to just find and kill 6 sheep on day 1 and make a bed, but the quest book has it far later than that) Due to this, I don't really agree that you need to stay close to world spawn. Finding something near water is a necessity, and retrospectively I do wish I had gone to a jungle biome (or one of the other biomes that maxes your IC2 crops). Teracotta is nice but there are other solutions to silicon and alumina so it's not inherently necessary. I was a bit jealous of Threefolds hardened clay mountains (mesa biome) though!
@@Krydax8 Well i`m on MV age and still dying a lot... It`s not just the beggining spawn gives u confort I followed the questbook and spend some real world days to have a bed... some hours just to have the first torch.... I hate modpacks u cant play smootly from the beggining without playing before or even seeing someone playing it...
Yeah it's a blast! Too bad that happened. I wasn't into Minecraft at the time (when the merge happened) but when I finally wanted to play again I was able to get it figured out somehow.
There is also warptorio where if you have the wrong start, you can end up in a death loop where you literally end up forced to warp with no items and can end up potentially thousands of warps just to get one furnace and one drill while increasing difficulty happens with each warp.
While SE is a challenge for sure, the hardest mod for Factorio is most certainly pYanodon's. I am in the midst of my playthrough for it (70 episodes in, its also on my channel ) Also I've already beaten Warptorio, if you're interested in that playthrough as well :) Warptorio is kinda tough but not even close to SE or pY and definitely not GTNH :D
Ok, well, as far as this modpack goes, there is a harder thing than GTNH, and that is the GTNH Garden of Grind challenge where you remove the real world generation mod and do superflat with only 1 layer being air, you literally have to die hundreds of times in order to build your platform and pray for a zombie villager to spawn and trade for a sapling. There is even a Garden of Grind UA-cam channel.
@@ben070289 yes, there are even harder challenges of gtnh, but garden of grind is more of an extension than a separate thing. But I do agree that it's way harder! I have been watching Garden of Grind on YT as well 😊
Its funny that you couldn't wait for Ultimate Alchemy to start this new series. I figure you will do them side by side until UA is finished. Looking forward to seeing how this goes, Is it going to always be single player?
UA is pre-recorded and, hint hint, I have beaten it :) But yeah, GTNH is more "current" and probably will be closer to freshly recorded when the videos release. And always single-player, yeah, unless I find someone that I really like playing with and has the same crazy schedule as me haha.
Kinda funny you say i'm gonna take things slow..... i'm gonna rush the bed. Hehe i get it though the bed is your life saver early game. GL on the pack. What is your goal you wanna reach, if you have any?
You messed up immediately. Request book gives you lots of food and items for completing stuff and you didn't do any of those. You're just running around dying

He greggin!

60? Yeah we have a while to go before 60! I do have a few by now though! You'll see in the coming days :)
Pyanodons AND Gregtech?!!! You sure do love some hard modpacks
IDK what's wrong with my brain... send help...
It is said Nomifactory is the tutorial for GTNH.
Gateway drug so to say
It's happening! Maybe this will get me back into Minecraft.
Surprised to see GTNH being started by so many streamers recently. What’s changed? Wonder why the increased in traffic all of a sudden.
Think it was trending on tiktok, my friend started playing it because he saw so many videos on it
@@AgarRomantic Ohhhh the tiky toky, that would 100% make sense then. Thanks.

Awesome! We can get wrecked by the biggest challenge together :)
oh man so excited to watch you play this mod!
Thanks! I've been having a great time so far
Subbed for Gregtech content, I have just finished Modern Industrialisation mod and need a challenge
im glad they made the flint tools not terrible
i remember playing this so long ago in creative, doing random stuff lol
Welcome to modded Minecraft! Lots to learn :)
good luck

i did quite a few runs in hardcore with this modpack, i reached the HV and then decided to stop there, fun but definitly too much to keep going.
