Benjamin is a joy in videos that already bring sunshine and smiles into my day. To see him helping. Plopping plants in, carrying two at a time, riding around in the gator, tamping the soil. What a beautiful childhood. I know one day we will see him digging, driving, palming half a dozen plants at a time but please not any time soon. Thank you for sharing your joy and knowledge. We need more of this in our world. 😊
Does anyone else come home and unwind in front of a soothing video of Laura planting things around her property and telling us all about it in her upbeat voice? I find that any stressful day can melt away with the rhythm of digging, planting, watering....
Love ,seeing Benjamin . He was the highlight of the video. Watching him ,helping you, bought tears to my eyes. So, moved. You guys are doing a great job, molding him. The flowers look wonderful..
It's always a lovely site when Benjamin is outside helping you in the garden. I look forward to seeing videos were both Benjamin and Samantha Grace are helping to assist you in making your garden home even more beautiful - thanks for sharing!
Love the heuchera with the hosta. It must feel good to empty out the greenhouse and hoop houses and start filling in the spaces. My mother-in-law passed away a couple days ago so we are planning her funeral and dealing with all that goes with it. Each of Dorothy’s four children had a tree planted for them and she would plant up each tree differently. Her garden gave her a lot of pride and joy. Seeing Benjamin plant with you brought that wonderful memory back to me. Gardens bring joy and peace to so many people. Thank you for sharing yours.
At some point, what will matter will be the memories each of you have to share, the stories of the trees. The love she showed as she individualized each underplanting. She obviously created a great deal of love around her. When the pain mellows, it will be her lasting legacy.
Aaron the new grass area looks full and lush behind Laura as she’s talking about the last plants. What a difference in a matter of weeks. You two are an amazing team. I’m glad we can all be part of your everyday living and the work you do.
Dear Laura, how in the HECK do you dig so easily under a tree? I am so jealous, lol. I look like an OG Looney Tune cartoon everytime hitting roots, lol.
So true, Tracy. I so admire these gardeners who always look so fresh when in the garden. When I am busy in my garden, my hair is sticking to my sweaty neck, my shirt is smeared with dirt, and I am always misplacing my trowel or pruners. What a mess I am!
I have the same issue in some flower beds, but also huge rocks left over from the construction of the home. Just a few days ago, I hit rock trying to plant a hosta and had to get rid of the rock. It ended up being massive at about 50 pounds. Neighbour had to help me lift it out.
@@Debralovesflower59 lol! Sounds like the same problem I have! My glasses keep slipping down from the sweat and I can’t even adjust them with dirt all over my hands!
I loved watching you plant with your little guy. I have three little guys of my own, and I wanted to take the chance to thank you for all you've taught me this year about gardening. My husband and I spent the whole weekend finally putting in our very first flower garden in our small townhouse front yard, complete with new shrubs and perennials for next year. We are taking so much joy in our new lovely yard, and one of our sons now keeps calling me The Garden Lady...which is often what I call you to them! I can't even believe it. Thank you for what you do and the joy you've helped to bring to our little family. :)
Your baby boy is so sweet Laura. Your such a hard worker and he's there to give his mommy a hand 🙌🏻. Thanks for the growing tips on the plants you share.
Everyone loves Benjamin!!!!❤️ He's carrying 2 pots at a time now. Growing fast, I'm glad we get to watch you and Aaron grow your family together. Number one fan.
I love Benjamin. Seeing him carry two pots at a time? Just precious. And he's so interested. And it's a blessing to watch you and Aaron with your little ones. Thanks.
Loved seeing Benjamin helping you plant. It reminded me of planting flowers with my mom when I was a little girl. She’s been gone 8 years, so I thank you for the sweet memories! Keep making memories with your babies!
Such an awesome helper!!!! A child that enjoys nature is a child with a loving heart!! Such precious memories you two are building!! Can't wait for Samantha Grace to be out there toddling around and "helping" too!!! The plants all look beautiful!!
What a great education Benjamin is getting out in the gardens with you. Love seeing him working along side his Mom. It is so good to see him developing such varied interests. Cooking, gardening, and of course a love of trucks and machinery. The gardens all look amazing and as we get farther into fall they should be glorious.
I love how Benjamin always tries to help with big n small things alike. Such a cutie pie he is. Hope Samantha does the same soon. Lots of ❤❤❤ for all of you.
Benjamin is adorable. What a good helper he is for you. I love the Huchera looks awesome. What a beautiful planting together with the Hosta. Love love love it!!
Put that young man on the payroll! Benjamin is being trained up in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. You are providing a healthy, wholesome family life for him. God Bless!
I love seeing Benjamin help you! We can tell his interest is there and he’s watched you so carefully that he knows what he’s doing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE the heucheras there!! As I was watching I kept thinking how wonderful it would be to plant full size plants to get that immediate effect of a filled in garden 🪴
Oh goodness!!! The heucheras around the hostas are stunning...can we say beautiful enough for this drift!!! WOW, Laura, you have such an eye for plant combinations. And of course, your helper on this video is so fun to watch...you two together.
I love to see kids engaged in the garden. Benjamin will be able to tell other kids about what he knows about plants (veggies and fruit) and show them that plants are cool!
Benjamin can’t wait to get his hands on that auger!! He was watching you dig EVERY hole with intense focus! As much as I love watching your planting videos, I may love watching Benjamin helping you even more❣️❣️❣️
Aaww Benjamin is the cutest. Its incredible how we have seen him grow on this platform to a stage where he can lift pots for you and help you plant. Its just so adorable!!!❤
Oh my, I am in tears! My firstborn is 12 years old and I miss him so much! I see him all day, everyday and he's sleeping downstairs. However, you and Benjamin working together... Oh my heart... Keep enjoying guys.
Today is my eldest sons 27th birthday so I’m already misty thinking of when he made me a mother, but watching you and Benjamin work together , well twice as misty. I just loved when my sons were young and helping me. Do you teach Benjamin the names of plants 🌱 like cat’s pajamas? 🐈
I love watching not just your garden grow but your family too. Seeing Benjamin grow up in the garden brings back so many memories of learning to garden from my grandparents. Just a few month’s ago he lost interest in planting the butterfly garden and today he stuck with it through the end. Won’t be long before he’ll be coming out to man the auger instead of Aaron.
It’s so wonderful seeing Benjamin imitate his momma! The way he longingly looks at that power planter drill bit makes me think it won’t be long before he’s doing that too!! Your 18 huecheras look magnificent! We planted 36 along a dappled wall last year and we love them! However, we alternated varieties and I’m not sure I like the formality of that…when is a good time to move huecheras around?
I feel like Laura would say “as long as you can dig a hole in a ground, is a good time to move a plant” I have also heard to wait until early Spring. When you are out of the risk of a deep frost. That way they haven’t broken out of dormancy and have a whole growing season to settle into their new home.
Oh my goodness - Benjamin carrying the plants! And you know he wants at the drill to make holes! Love, love, love the huchera. Planted some myself this year too - I've never had it before.
You are such an inspiration to so many! You have given me so many ideas to do around in our landscape, and I’m 15. You have even inspired me to create my own UA-cam channel!! Thank you so much and keep on doing what your doing.
More planting, yay! You're right, those Heuchera are stunning with the Hostas and really jazz up the West side of the house. You've got a pretty good Hand working with you, too. ☺️
What great memories you are creating with Benjamin. Years from now he will be able to walk your property and remember planting so much of it with his mom.
That's a great helper there. Benjamin is always so willing -providing he doesn't get too bored. I didn't realize you had so many Heucheras. Benjamin doesn't look like a toddler anymore... he's a little boy!!! He "growed" up! Such a good helper and soon you'll have the two of them running around you "helping". 🤗🤗🤗 The space is looking fabulous. This time next year... it'll look like it's always been there. So well done.
It’s so nice to see little snippets of Benjamin! It’s absolutely adorable watching him help you. Thanks for all you do and share!! My husband and I thoroughly enjoy all that you and Aaron share with us. You’re blessings!!

Love the plant selection will definitely have to get some of the Coraljade Sedum next year. Thanks so much for all the great videos and planting tips. Look forward to seeing the Hartley planted.
Benjamin is getting so big, and he’s getting to be such a great helper. I love perennials that perform! Laura:”Did you ever wonder what 18 hookera look like? Here ya go!! If you don’t like it, I just saved you a bunch of money!” Hahahaha. I DO like it!
I would have to buy one, and then take it from there lol ,I was planning to do that with my Jack frost plant, unfortunately it was attacked by bugs, in my haste to get rid of the bugs the plant also died
I feel blessed, yes, watching all the planting videos. I also keep the Hartley occupying 1/4 of my brain while watching everything else going on. It’s all beautiful and interesting. Plenty of work that results in all those rewards. I’m transplanting strawberry runners, as mine are five years old. This year the plantain spread far and wide in my strawberries. So I will dig everything up and pray for the best.
