I'm genuinely surprised you didn't put The Silence from Doctor Who. Not only are they incredibly dangerous and hellish-looking, they can erase themselves from your memory as soon as you look away from them. What's scarier than something that's impossible to remember?
Number 5. The Gentlemen are creepy but what about Gnarl? It slowly ate its victims skin while they were still alive and drank their blood to wash it down.
Omg!😳 I could sit through the first two, but Zuni Warrior was sooo scary, lol! I remember also this "scary" movie of campers came across devil worshipers in the woods, and it was super scary.
I'm a '94 baby. Idk what age I was when I first started watching Night of the Living Dummy III, I was probably quite little. I remember being so scared of Slappy (and Chucky, yes I knew them both about the same time) when I was very little that I had a nightmare where everyone in my family turned into Slappy, then everyone else on earth turned into Slappy (just the head) and they were all closing in on me when I ran outside onto my front lawn. Slappy is very underrated, and despite being scared then and still creeped out now, I love the Night of the Living Dummy series and its villain. Just watched them again a few days ago ;)
As far as Doctor Who monsters go, the Weeping Angels are a pretty good pick, but by their third appearance (where they show the Statue of Liberty as an Angel), they're a joke, and not nearly as scary. The Silence are creepy, but not really that scary. The two that really stand out to me as scary (even above the angels) are the Vashta Nerada and the waters of Mars. Imagine that touching ANY shadow could mean you're eaten alive instantly, or that a touch from a single drop of water means the gruesome overtaking of your body. THAT'S scary.
Honorable Mentions: *King Ramses - Courage The Cowardly Dog -He's among the few things from my childhood that STILL scares me. *Slappy - Goosebumps -Living dummies are already disturbing enough, they even appeared in Toy Story 4. Just looking at this creepy thing is enough to make me avert my eyes.
@@andrewhaase1826 Hey, you're forgetting another iconic "living" dummy puppet, Flippy from Jimmy Neutron; that thing gives me the creeps, but is still cleverly executed in that ep centering on it... That is, unless you've never seen that series, then you just wouldn't know about it, now, would you? lol
I know they aren't technically Monsters, but the Whisperers in TWD would definitely be scarier than the Walkers irl I feel. Maybe it's just because by the time they came around, the Walkers were old news, but their ability to control the Walkers and make it seem as if the Walkers could talk is terrifying for the other characters.
Good list there. I remember seeing that Fluke Man on X-Files when it first came out and it made my skin crawl, I had visions of it running from the bathroom into the bedroom when I was alone in the dark for a week afterwards, though there are of course much scarier looking beasts in film and TV now that thing was super creepy back in the day. Those things from Buffy were really good too as they reminded me of silent floating monster men I experienced in a nightmare when I was a very small child where I could neither shout for help nor scream. They really are a thing of nightmares and I've often wondered if whoever came up with them has experienced that same nightmare. There is another one from Supernatural which could have made your list, "The Siren" appeared as human, the object of a persons deepest desire just like the Greek legend, but its true form when reflected in a mirror was really horrible.
The Demogorgon is a perfect top pick, but I would've picked the Mind Flayer. As terrifying as the Demogorgon is, there's something about a monster that doesn't have a visible form.
Wish you had mentioned The World’s Angriest Boy In The World, from Legion. Another form the Shadow King (I think!) that takes the form of a living illustration from a disturbing child’s book, freaks me the hell out
This is an impressive list, but I wish this list was even longer. I'm a big horror fan and creatures like the Demogorgon, TWD zombies and white walkers are some of my favorites. However, I would add a few more: The Sand man from Sleepy Hollow, the wendigo from Supernatural and the Zuni Warrior doll from the TV movie Trilogy of Terror are some of my favorites. The last one gave me nightmares bc I saw it when I was about 11 yrs. old.
Lucifer from Supernatural. The unsettling anticipation leading up to his official debut in the episode, “Hammer of the Gods” was epic. Not to mention that he could just snap his fingers and all of them would explode in all kinds of nasty, gross bits. PLUS, he did purposefully try to kill his own son which to me really puts him up in the super scary monster tier.
Sally Solomon: So how was your trip, sir ? The Big Giant Head: Horrifying, at first. I looked out the window and... I saw something on the wing of the plane. Dr. Dick Solomon: The same thing happened to me !
honestly surprised they didn't choose Eligos from Ash vs Evil Dead his appearance alone was something i always remembered not to mention the glitchy static effect he has
I feel like the monsters in the series "From" are the creepiest. There basically things that look and sound identical to real people and trick you into going towards them. The thing that makes them scarier is the fact they like to torture and then kill. Sometimes they just leave there victims to bleed out or something. Actually terrifying
Some monsters on TV are iconic and some are not. Maybe because they are not popular enough or perhaps they’re not in the same league as the other creatures are. Dinocroc 2004
She may not technically be a "monster", but the Bent-Neck Lady from The Haunting of Hill House is freaking scary as hell. Complete nightmare fuel.
Phatom
In my opinion, Slappy is a highly underrated horror villain. He's a Goosebumps staple, and honestly needs more attention.
Freddy Krueger and Slappy were the only 2 horror villains that kept me from sleeping as a kid!
Are you talking about the slappy from the show or the movie?!
Because I think the movie one looks scarier!
@@nicktechnubyte1184 I think both are underrated. Even though I don't think the movie was great, I still think Slappy was great in it
Both Slappy and Chucky gave me nightmares as a small kid, and I still remember those dreams now as a 28 yo
The Demogorgon is probably the scariest monster to come out of a Netflix series. The Duffer Brothers are creative geniuses

The Gentlemen should be #1. They still creep me tf out 😂

White Walkers will always be my favorite -- especially after they return on TV soon enough.
There are definitely a lot of scary things on “The X-Files,” with the Flukeman and and the vestigial twin being some of my top picks.😳
Number 5.
The Gentlemen are creepy but what about Gnarl? It slowly ate its victims skin while they were still alive and drank their blood to wash it down.
I'm not sure if this is in this category, but the Zuni warrior from The Trilogy of Terror.
