The DD-8 takes over from the previous-generation DD-7 as the most advanced delay in the compact series, enhanced with numerous sound modes and features that make it the most full-featured delay pedal in its class.
About the DD-8 Digital Delay...
Equipped with a diverse selection of delays, the DD-8 packs impressive sonic range into one small pedal. Clean digital delays, vintage analog and tape types, and modulation echo are available, plus specialty delays like shimmer, warp and reverse. There’s three newly developed delay types included, Warm type for softer echo tones, +RV type that blends delay and reverb together, and GLT type is great for glitchy rhythmic effects.

Good on you Boss for updating your social media presence. There is a lot of boutique pedals out there wanting my money. But I always go back to my boss sd1 and my dd3. 15 years and those two pedals have never left my board

Been wanting a delay pedal for a long time (rack unit fx & multi fx past 20 years) so this will be my first delay.
I think Shimmer is the best effects that's been added here.. perfect for prog-metal tone mixing

Boss truly is the greatest pedal company ever. In the last 25 years or so, Ive owned so many pedals from so many pedals by other manufacturers (boutique and standard), but in the end they always get replaced by a BOSS pedal!!!

Can you make a video where you explain how to get dotted 8ths with this pedal? I have read the manual several times and I just don't understand.
I am looking for a way sync a delay to Volca Drums without having to tap a temp on the pedal. Can the TEMPO/EXP input be used to accomplish this?

The shimmer effect sounds if like you took a mooer skyverb and put it in a boss pedal. it sounds good.
Don’t run with the heard folks, try matching this amazing pedal with a Roland JC40 for an instant eargazim , stereo heaven for about £640 combined 😻

The glitch and shimmer sound super cool only other thing I would've wanted is a short looper built in but this is still pretty rad for those effects alone... wait hold on, I'm stupid and didn't check your website, it has a loop, easy buy now lol

One of the only pedals I have held onto for 25 years is my boss delay.
I've my DD3 for nearly 40 years...still on my pedalboard...the only Boss pedal.
I was just about to grab a used DD5 but now I'm torn between this and the DD3T

I own a DD-7 and the only downside to having a pedal like this as opposed to say a timeline is the fact that you can’t easily and quickly change between setting on the dds.

Phil Dyer naaah, I hated it and I’m taking it back in exchange for a DD-8.
IMHO it’s pretty easy to set a DD-7 or 8 once you practice a little.

No such luck, unfortunately. You change subdivisions globally by inserting plugs in a certain configuration and turning knobs. Pretty inconvenient.
All the strymon stuff is cool but boss is the real king of pedals.
Is there much difference between the stereo modes on the dd8 vs the dd7?

My guess would be
1. wet dry
2. ping pong
3. dual mono
At least that's what I would do if I designed it
