    Love the "out of the box" experience is improved. Would also encourage (if they haven't already) to have companies to create (or have content creators create for a company) good maintenance/tuning videos. That way there is great foundation of educating, if that needs to be addressed. That's what we strive for. The best experience and the best prints.

Quick questions: the SainSmart TPU link takes me to a 95A hardness version of this material, is this what you tested? Would it be posible to go a bit softer, or maybe it's not recommended? I have a Bambu Lab P1S and absolutely love it. I came from a Anycubic Kobra and a heavily modded Ender 3 V2. The jump was staggering.
    Those two printers are now retired and I'm now needing another prnter to supplement my P1S for quick and small prototypes. Assuming build volume isn't a concern (for me), would you recommend the Ender 3 V3 KE or the Bambu Lab A1 Mini? I believe they're the same price if you don't get the AMS. Which I don't need.

    Maybe I missed it but what's the max volumetric flow? I just don't see speeds over 200mm/s without crazy extruders

    • @LoyalMoses
      @LoyalMoses  3 місяці тому

      300mm/s is super common, in-fact a couple of my prints over the past month or so have been at 300mm/s - everything has changed in the last 12 to 18 months - extruders are moving more material, heat creep is becoming less of an issue as heater efficiency is increasing. Even high-speed filaments are having an impact as they melt and cool quicker and more evenly.

    I'm a complete noob when it comes to 3D printing, for quite a while I didn't see a lot of point in having one, but not so long ago it dawned on me how beneficial one could be to me. I have a car that is a classic in age but not so old that it doesn't have a lot of plastic trim and such. Because it's getting older some of the plastic components are becoming more and more brittle and are impossible to replace, hence my new found interest in 3D printing :)
    I've been looking at and reviewing a good number of entry level 3D printers for a quite a few months now and was on the cusp of buying one only to find it was discontinued and also I read online through other review articles, and UA-cam videos, that 2024 would bring new things. And it looks as if it has :)
    This printer is now looking very much like it will be the go to printer for my needs, previously it was the Sovol SV07. I'm not sure there's a whole lot of difference between them, I'll have to do a comparison. The Creality might take the prize though :)

      I agree that the setup out of the box is great for most prints, but even a very small amount of error can ruin the functionality of mechanical parts with tight tolerances, such as bushings, and small gears

    I just got this printer. Top left part of the bed is offset by -0.73 while the rest sit below -0.5. Should I be fixing this? If so, how do I do it?

    • @LoyalMoses
      @LoyalMoses  3 місяці тому +1

      The mesh leveling should take care of that, not a problem at all. Have you been having issues or just concerned?

      @@LoyalMoses I’m a beginner in 3D printing so I wouldn’t even be sure if I was having a problem :D I was mainly concerned if it would create a problem though. I’ll try to tune my printer today but they all require rooting which I’m not very familiar so I’ll look into that, thanks!

    The only problem I'm having with my KE is that the gantry doesn't appear to be square, so tall, skinny prints have a lean to them. I'm just afraid to screw with it to try to fix it. Not to mention it only impacts a specific type of print, so it's not a HUGE deal.

      @@LoyalMoses Not much; maybe a degree? But it's enough that my prints of the SpaceX Startship/Booster all failed because the parts joined with a noticeable bend at the joints. For the Booster I was able to rotate every other segment 180 degrees and get a roughly straight ship, but I had to pre-join the Starship to get anything close to normal. :( It's my first printer, so I really don't want to risk breaking it.

    My V3 KE arrived today and it was printing TPU perfectly right out of the box. It's such a step up from my 3 year old Ender 3 Max that needed quite a few mods to print TPU. Prints that would take all day now just take 3 or 4 hours. I couldn't be happier with it.
    Since I'm disabled, all of the quality of life additions like auto bed levelling and remote start and monitoring are game-changing for me. My back and shoulders are so grateful that I'm not having to contort myself into the back of the enclosure to adjust the rear bed levelling screws any more - especially when I'm using an 85C bed for PETG!
