Killer tribute band. Ain't easy to find a vocalist and guitarist who can do the material justice. Bravo!
Thanks so much!
I've seen multiple Dokken tribute bands. I haven't seen a guitarist who captures the style, technique and tone of George Lynch like this guy does. I wish that modern day George Lynch sounded more like this.@@Deadite8593
I'm 50 and a big Dokken fan. It's great to see young people appreciate and play good music.
Anytime is a good time to be rokken with dokken! Cheers
True
It's nice to see these young wipper-snappers know good music when they hear it 🤘😝🤘
It's 2023 and I'm still jammin to this. Should've ran with it. Total pro's for sure... thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks so much! I ended up moving to another state shortly after this, the rest of the band is still going (the bass player took over guitar duties)
Dude plays the schitt out of that. I've been playing Dokken songs since 1985, and I'm impressed by this kid.
Thanks so much!
I’ve loved dokken since the early 80s… much appreciate todays generation to keep this great music alive and well… keep up the great work…. Rokken w dokken forever!!!!!
Seriously, please come to Japan🙋🙏💯🎶🙆
That would be amazing!
Well to be honest , this Dokken Tribute band is very good. The singer sounds fantastic and the guitar player definitely did george justice.👍🏻🤟.The drumer was awesome amd the bass player did a fantastic job.Its so great seeing a younger generation getting into Dokken.👍🏻Don Dokken has said they are makig a Dokken movie. This i got to see.I just hope its better than the Motley Crue movie they made.
Thanks for the nice comments! I would love to see a Dokken movie as well, cheers
The guitarist CRUSHED IT !!! Great chops and tone! Many hours and attention to detail goes into such a performance to be that polished and musical. Bravo! Let’s keep this amazing music alive and thriving. Support talent like this!
Thank you! I put a lot of work into trying to nail the Lynch tones here. I think I came close here but was always chasing a better sound haha.
Agreed...it's funny how tribute bands often pull off the solos better than the inspriation.
He is good for sure. I'm glad to see some excitement and movement from the guitarist. I'm also wild and running across the stage - it's a great high!!
Killer guitar playing and tone - really nails Lynch's style! Singer does a great job too!
Killer. The guitar player is all over it 🤘
Thanks, rock on!
Brilliant stuff
Only just seen this after all these years
Brilliant guitar solos note for note
@@ChrisJackson-w3s thanks so much! Some of them are pretty good but others I'm kinda winging it haha. I was only in the band for a couple weeks before this show so I was still trying to learn the songs and made some mistakes but nothing huge thankfully haha. Thanks again!
Killer Tone on that Guitar . . .Lynch tone is not easy to dial in. . .Great Job! 👍
And lead tone boosted up and wasn't drowned out. . . impressive.
Thanks! I do love a good volume boost during leads haha
@@Deadite8593- @Deadite8593 - Your welcome. . .if you don't mind me asking. What pre-amp were you using that night?
Although I just play to the furniture, it's still cool to sound good. . .
@@PrivateMail-c8m I was using an old randall rg80es amp. I had a fulltone OCD as a boost in front and a boss multi-fx unit in the effects loop for the delay and any other effects. Nothing special but it worked pretty good for the Lynch stuff I think. I mostly play for furniture these days too, sounding like you want is still always fun. Thanks again!
Incredible setlist, amazing performance.
Thanks!
Man... I love this dudes voice!!! And that BC Rich!!!!
Thanks so much!
I think vocals are all right ..could be better lot better...and need back up vocals. .but people playing good tunes is cool
Glad i stumbled across this....Rokken with Dokken!!
Thanks!
Damn I closed my eyes there for a moment I could have swore that was George Lynch play in that solo kiss of death, my hat's off to you guys y'all killed it, I was lucky enough to see Dokken back in the middle 80s Freedom Hall Tennessee and damn well worth it. Keep up the great work guys
Wow thank you so much!
great job -
Thanks!
Guys are brilliant! So rare that both the guitarist and the singer can pull this off but you guys totally did! 💯 💯 💯
Thanks so much!!!
Its really refreshing to see the new generation to tackle this kind of music. This genre is highly underated. The singer can easily take Don Dokken's influence and run with it.
I'm back watching this for the 2nd time since 6 months ago. I've watched a lot of Dokken cover bands and you guys are the best. The guitar has the showmanship and the kick-ass vibrato that shows he's a pro!
Thanks so much! I miss playing these songs, it was so much fun getting to try and do Lynch justice.
And you definitely did him justice! I play along with the "Back for the Attack" album every day as a good warm up! @@Deadite8593
Pretty damn good! 🎸🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Thank you!!!
Damn, these guys are really good - I'm a huge Dokken fan, great job guys!
Thank you!!! Keep on rokken!
What @Deadite8593 said!
Best sounding Dokken tribute I've ever heard- bravo!
Wow thank you so much, dang!
I second his “dang.” And also his “thank you!” 🙏🏼
And I absolutely agree with you they are absolutely amazing and I'm a huge Dokken fan myself
Very impressive, great sounding tribute band.
Thanks so much!
I'm rooting for you all the way from Japan. You guys are the best cover band!
Thank you so much!!
Shout out to the guitar player! Some SERIOUS skills!!
Wow thank you so much!
@@Deadite8593 Hey, I just call them as I see them. Keep Rocking Dude!
...as you can see from my guitar in the image...George Lynch was my main inspiration! Great job, really awsome guitar playing!!
Thank you! Lynch is a huge inspiration on myself as well
Sweet band love it
These guys fucking KICK ASS! Everyone is spot on! The vocals... EXCELLENT!
Thanks! I miss playing music with Derik, great singer!
I miss playing with good ol’ K-Dog too. That dude is a BAD ASS.
I am a Huge Dokken fan. You guys sound Great!
Thanks!! Keep on rokken!
Holly shit his voice sounds exactly like Don Dokken
@@davidteague4903 thanks! He was good, I really enjoyed being in the band with these guys
Singer does a damn fine Don Dokken scream! Guitarist, killing it. Rhythm section, tight! Yup...good sht! Love to hear them do Seven Thunders live!
Man you hit it to the T brother ,Paris is burning was just hardcore....
Thanks!
Could not tell you what I would give just sit in with you guys and sing slipping away from the under lock and key album, I've heard my voice for far too long and I cannot imagine the rush and the feedback from the crowd.
Rockin with Lokken
Excellent! Thank you
One song in and I'm happy as hell! Just finished the set, you guys did a very respectable job with this, not easy to hit those high notes and man, that Guitar, so close to the original tone! Bravo...
Thanks Ross! Working with the singer Derik was a pleasure, great pipes!
😏🙏🏼
Randy Rhoads will always be my favorite guitarist, but i have a lot of guitar players i love listening to. George Lynch is most certainly one of them. You did a damn fine job! Sounded great! I live in Akron. Where was this place?
Thanks so much! Randy indeed was the man, he wrote some incredible pieces of music. This was at the Empire in Akron actually, small world
10/10..sounded great and the beast from the east covers. spot on . Burning 18 song set, the good songs only. kicking ass! dude in crowd yelled walk away 59:49 , lol.
Thanks man! We had a lot of fun that night. Wish Walk Away was on the setlist, we never got around to learning that one and I kinda regret it
Uowwww great performance!!! I have a Dokken Tribute in Brazil too ........ your band is wonderfull ... congratulations!!
Awesome! Keep on burning like a flame!!!!
So much fun right here. I watched this whole thing and enjoyed it fellas. Sounded wonderful, Lynch should listen maybe learn again.... 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great playing! The Tooth and Nail solo was rippin’ 🤘🤘
Thanks man!!
This is very good
Thanks!
Excellent tribute band!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
When your old and can't rock out, you just hold up a beer, and say yeah!
🍻🤘🏼
Very good band,Dokken rocks!!! I mean, used to lol Hi from France :)
Haha yeah Don isn't what he once was, but in his prime he was the man! Cheers!
Saludos desde Chile...
🤘🏼🇨🇱
For a cover band this is very good!!! Nice job guys!!
Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated!
6 min in, I am like wow 👍great job. Rokkin like dokken!
Thanks so much!
Hope y'all are staying in shape for 2021. You sound great!
Thanks man! Unfortunately we've all moved to different states and don't play together anymore. Oh well we had some fun, cheers
Awesome! And not a single phone recording! Just people enjoying this great band
The only criticism I have is that the singer needs to let loose a little more and not hold back. You were really close to Don on tone and character
Other than that, I really enjoyed this. Brought back real memories of Dokken and the guys! Thanks
And the person that was running sound had this dialed in!!
Thanks so much! Thanks for the constructive criticism, I enjoyed playing for these guys and thought he was a great singer too
Loved the Paris is Burning cover, AWESOME!!!
Thanks! I think that was the first time we played it together haha
Great band. The singer is really on point and the guitarist nails Lynch’s riffs.
Thanks so much! It was super fun getting to play these gigs
Singer must've been busy with autographs in the crowd.
That was a funny moment, the crowd wouldn't let him through and the club bouncers had to push people out of the way haha
As a Dokken fan from back in the day, this is fkn unreal!! You all sound fantastic!! BFTE is one of my fave albums ever, so stumbling upon this clip on YT by accident was quite the find. Oh and to the guitar player, hats off to ya man - you sound phenomenal - greetings from Melbourne, Australia :)
Thank you so much! Kevin (the guitar player) is one of the baddest mofos around for sure.
The vertical guitar hold makes it sound so much better.
If you guys are together, would like to hear an original album. Something like the 5th dokken album that never materialised
Most of us live in different states now, but that is a really cool idea. Would have loved to see what songs were in the melting pot for them after Walk Away!
@@Deadite8593 I would say it would have been a mixture of Wicked Sensation and Up from the Ashes. More the latter than the former maybe....
Pretty good, good job guys!
Thanks! I miss playing with these guys, a few of us moved to different states
Well done gentlemen!!!! This is how Dokken sounded back in the 80’s!!!!
@@Halenrocks5150 thanks so much!
Some people are just born to play guitar!!
Wow thank you so much!
How good are these guys? WTF...Im impressed
Thanks so much!!
Cool!
favored, i'LL WATCH AT HOME. Whoops, caps lock. I better hear paris is burning with that intro solo.
Doug Steele Guitar You know it! I improvised a bit of the intro solo but it's there haha
Dokken my favourite band growing up in the 80s!
Just like Don gets to the stage once the song is going rock star 😎
Very very nice! Tell us more about your guitar gear, you have a great tone dude!
I appreciate it! I was using a Randall RG80ES head with an old marshall 1960 cab with 65 watt celestions. I think I was kicking on a fulltone OCD during the solos, might have been a TS9. Boss MS-3 multi-effect unit in the effects loop of the amp for all the effects. I don't remember how I was getting a clean tone because the channel switching on that amp has been broken since I've owned it LOL. Might have been stepping on a switch to bypass the preamp and just plug the guitar straight into the fx loop return. The guitar is an old beat up ESP M-ii I repainted and threw a duncan Screamin Demon pickup in.
Diggin it. Sounds good.
Listening to more of it... sounds really good. Fun band. Great sound. Bravo .
Thank you! 🤙🏼
Listening, again - really good.
nicely done, probably best dokken cover band
Wow thank you so much!
That really means a lot! I’m extremely flattered. Thank you!
Wow. Really good. Guitarist sticks out for sure.
Thanks!
Fascinating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lightning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really nice guitar tone .whats he playing thru
Thanks so much! This was an old Randall RG80ES solid state head with a marshall 1960 4x12 cab. Boss MS3 multieffect unit in the fx loop running everything, I think maybe I had a tubescreamer in front of the amp but I don't remember.
Ohhhh F@#$ yeah! 🎸 🎸 🎸 🎸
Badazz! Tight
I can hear some Yngwie in the guitarists style, just like me!
Definitely! I'm a big Malmsteen fan for sure, thanks!
Our styles are so similar it would great if we weren't 1000's of mile away - you and I would be a great team!
Smokin'!!!!
Just brilliant
Thank you!
SEEN THESE GUYS.........1984 DOKKEN & DIO.........!!!!
The Mr. Scary cover was badass
Thanks! It was fun to play, a lot of it was just me winging it haha
Very Nice!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
AWESOME!!!
Cybex 44 Thanks!
Fuck this guy can sing!
I agree Derik was (and still is) awesome! Miss playing guitar for these guys
🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you so much. Extremely flattered. I miss that too, K-Money.
Great tribute band this is not easy music to imulate great guitar work
Thanks I appreciate the kind words!
Great job to the whole band!
Thank you, much appreciated!
Thanks so much!
bro yall fucking killed. anyone in central VA wanna start a Dokken tribute band
Thanks so much! Unfortunately I don't know anyone out that way, I'm in NV now
I 💘 this wish ya'll were still together
Impressive 👍
Thank you!
Final destinaaaaaaaah, just like Don would do.
Excellent Band
Guitarist is playing George better than anything George has played in the last 15 years lol, GJ man
@@cyborgnj Really appreciate that! Wow thanks
1:26 when the lead singer is so awe inspired that he forgets he's the lead singer
Mike Gualderama The crowd wouldn't let him through to get onstage apparently. I went into panic mode and just started singing cuz I didn't know what to do lmao
PS this video might get taken down at any time, I got an email saying they are viewing my claim. At least it's posted for now LOL
Ah fair enough, but perhaps he should have made like labrie and came from behind the stage or side stage haha
Mike Gualderama hahaha lesson learned!
From what I heard, the reason the lead singer had a problem making it to the stage was, some hot blonde chick had him trapped in the bathroom with her. He kicked ass once he made it to the stage!!!
Don should hire this guy to sing😜.
lmfaoo but seriously he should
Shread alert. This guy rocks
Thanks so much!
Kevin is the pure definition of a bad ass. And one of the nicest dudes you’ll ever meet too!
@@deriksibit6384 Oh I'm ass alright. That singer guy was pretty cool too
@Deadite8593 😎🥸
That dudes fucking KILLING it on gutiar. Props to the singer too. its not easy for a normal voiced man to sing dokken lol!
Thanks!!
Best tribute band ever fuck n aye
Excelente cantante!
Me encanta como salió just got lucky
How did you get that super clear harmony on Mr. Scary?
@@Halenrocks5150 It was a pitch shifter effect on my pedalboard. Kinda annoying to setup and turn off and on but mr scary especially needs the harmonies IMO. I think I used it on a couple other songs too, like prisoner. Thanks!
Very well done guys! This deserves more views! All the best!
Thank you! We had a fun night, I miss playing these songs.
The singer is REALLY GOOD but doesn't particularly sound like Don. Your tone and style are dead-nuts Lynch!!! I'd love to hear you guys cover some tunes from Wicked Sensation too! Are y'all from Akron/Cleveland area?
Thanks!!! We used to be based out of Cleveland but have since moved to various parts of the country. The singer is now in Tennessee and I'm in Nevada.
@@Deadite8593Then you must know Mike Szuter (Outta the Blue/The Szuters/Magna-Fi) from Cleveland? He’s in Vegas as well. Me, Mike and his brother CJ collaborated on a Cheap Trick cover project called ‘Cheaper Trick’ here on UA-cam. I recorded all of the music, Mike played bass and CJ handled all vocals/harmonies.
@@ronwilliams1094 I'll have to look that up, sounds cool!! I don't remember if I know him or not but when I watch the video I'll probably know. I'm horrible with names but usually remember faces haha
priceless
DOKKEN!!!!! YEEEEEEAH!!!
Killer!! Rock on !!
Jim Guidry Thanks!!
