Mohan Sir, I was studying and reading about stocks for past 1.5 years, not sure how I missed you channel. You cleared all my questions and confusions. Not sure how I missed your channel. You are doing a great job.
@@InvestmentInsightsTamil S&P 500 more like large cap, Nasdaq 100 like between mid to small cap, Vanguard ETF like debt fund. Can you add one series about US debt market? Thanks.
investing in nasdaq from india is a bit confusing terms like fof , feeder and etc and confusion on which is best makes the situation even more hectic so please do a video on how to invest in nasdaq index and some confusing schemes of motilal oswal please consider and reply
Feeder fund is itself a FoF which invests in global markets... Example Franklin Templeton us opportunities fund.. You may just need to know the difference between FoF and ETF.. Let's take Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 ETF and Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FoF. The only difference here is exit load and expense ratio. FoF is done through broker so you might get charged for exit load and expense ratio.. where as in ETF as it is like Direct investment, you will not be charged for expense ratio... Both funds will have same stocks..
Thank you for the informative content again. Can you make a video on: 1. Which kind of stocks should a young investor go for ? Growth or Dividend stocks. 2. How to diversify stock portfolio?
All the topics were good. But honestly travel idea and vdos from your channel is my favorite. Also suggest some purely short term (less than 2 years) high growth investment opportunities

1. Totally personal preference. VTI and S7P500 are well diversified. Nasdaq 100 has bit more concentration on Technology. It is upto you. If you are not sure, go with VTI. 2. There is no demat concept in US. Just open an account with any brokerage like Robinhood, Charles Schwabb etc. 3. Watch the 401K episode in this channel to understand it better.
Thanks for the video Vijay. Whatever style of investing there is, the "Kaiyula kaasu" can only be realized when we sell a portion or whole of the holdings. Can you please talk about dividend returns, re-investing dividends and whether dividens impact our capital appreciation?
Watch the "Compounding in Business" episode to understand this better. If the gains from the business is distributed as dividends, the business cannot grow.

Hi VijayMohan Sir, Very Insightful Videos. What is your suggestion/Thoughts on the Navi US Total Stock Market FOF vs Compared to Nasdaq 100 Vs SP 500? Planning to buy from India. Thank you for your time!
US Total Stock market Index is more broader and diversified than S&P 500. It is comparable to S&P500. You can replace S&P 500 for Total stock market index. But Nasdaq 100 is a different beast as I explained in this episode.

Nice video sir. I recently started following all your videos. Much informative. My question is 1. Can you plz tell me about the exact tax percentage of motilal oswal nasdaq 100 and s&p 500? Instead can I go for Indian index fund? Awaiting for your reply sir
What you read is right. All global funds are taxed like debt funds - 20% with indexation. That means 20% minus inflation rate. If the inflation rate turns out to be 6%, then the tax is 20-6=14%. I still say it is worth it for the diversifcation.
