- I know some of you have super internet speeds with your PC MSFS; I never really have and in this video, I show how my humble Series S, if far superior in that respect.

Another great video. Just to be a bit off topic. It is sad that all the internet and sim world is abuzz over the pmdg 777 and xbox users have to sit back and wonder, if and when, this plane will come out for xbox.
I think it's very likely it will land on the Xbox platform.
Very interesting presentation thank you..... I'm a Xbox S user... I haven't actually timed it but I've noticed that since the last “Super-cure all" update it now takes at least 3 times longer to initiate the simulator... The internet hasn't changed..... Roger.. Pembrokeshire

Yes on my xbox series x loading is way faster than my 2,500 dollar pc 🤦🏽♂️ and they are both connected to ethernet cable on a 1,200 mbps internet speed🤷🏼♂️

I've always found the XSX rapid at loading up MSFS. Downloading updates is a breeze, compared to how it used to be anyway.
I was amazed when I updated my Series S to SU 15 in less than 30 mins.
My series X is super fast.
Except when it freezes loading. Or fails to recognise inputs on the press any button to start screen. Or just goes straight back to desktop......
On the days it takes half hour to get in - not so quick!
Yes, my Xbox series s is very fast on a 300mbps wireless network, I been wanting to hard wire it to see how much faster it might run.

I’m pretty sure my PC loading time is slower than yours. I usually start the sim and walk away for a few minutes while it loads. I have a series X but have never put MSDS on it because my peripherals are pc only. I’m hoping MSFS 2024 is faster 😊
I 100% agree, let's hope they will fix these bandwidth issues for FS2024.

You would need to have a vanilla copy on each platform to do the test which you don't here. However steam does kill your performance so you are not downloading from the same source. Also do you have the same addons between platforms yes/no, because that will impact you load times.
To test this correctly.
1 Vanilla copy of MSFS2020 on each platform
2 Xbox test
3 PC test (Microsoft cllient)
4 PC test (Steam client)
This should give you a better test result.
No comparison, my Xbox X loads way faster than my PC…….waaaaaaaay faster. With my PC it can be 3-4 min one day and 10-13 min another and it’s never consistent. And unfortunately some days my PC doesn’t load it past the checking for update wheel. But Xbox, loads fast every time.
I feel bad for X-Box Users who cant have alot of planes and liveries and scenes , however I am kinda jealous of X-Box users they don't have alot of planes and liveries like I have.

I've timed my Xbox series X a few times and it usually takes about 5 minutes from initial press to loading into the sim. I have 300 mbit wired internet. As a side note, why do we have to press any button to continue? I mean I've started the sim, of course I want to continue.

Steam adds overhead, don't think it would be as bad from MS store
We do have to take that into consideration.
I have said this many times before. If I could find a way to connect my yoke, pedals, peripherals etc to my xbox, my PC would be in the bin.
You mean you don’t have enough usb ports for your gear with the Xbox?

I timed my PC Gamepass based startup against your video, the average for 3 runs was 1:46 to reach the world map. I also use Mobiflight, Axis & Ohs, Volanta, Navigraph and a couple other add-ons. MSFS Addons Linker reported 267 add-ons for 113GB loaded. My PC downloads from the content manager at higher than 300 Mbits/s reliably, something doesn't seem right with how your PC is acting.
You're correct, it doesn't seem right; but it seems I'm not the only one suffering that particular ailment.
I was wondering why people were talking about how long it took to download SU15. My Xbox X took 15-20 min to download. I have a PC on order because of all the free addons and stuff you don't get on Xbox. This news has got me worried because if I delete all my addons on Xbox and reinstall it takes about 5-8 hrs and that is over a 200 GB. If it takes an hour to download 5 Gb on PC it will take days. Is PC worth it?

same here, microsoft screwed the pooch on their PC port of flight sim. Systems that should absolutly curbstomp even the series X, cant download from the same servers as fast. Since there is zero techology advantage the series s has over even a medeocre modern pc, this is either a software coding issue, or something on the back-end at microsoft throttling pc downloads.
Im running a Ryzen 5800x3d, the fastest gaming chip of the previous cpu generation and running a 8gb/s gen 4 nvme ssd, on a 1 gigabit internet connection it took me 4 DAYS to download the game. The constant updates just made me stop bothering.
