Thank you. Getting into rc again after 16 years and the 2wd. Buggy is my preferance. My local track is super loose gravel/clay mix and bumpy. Mid motor cars are a new thing to me.
Seen the RC Fun Park trophies in background, nice! I'm finishing my first kit a B6.3d to race n Granger is gonna mainly be where I drive at. I've just got a 21t to practice with for now as I've never even been on a track. I've only played around in the yard with Stampedes n stuff back in the day. I've inherited my Dad's RC10, RC10L, and RC10GT so wanted to build my own and hit the track. Knew right off the rip I was staying RC10.
@@BradRC got a handme down b5m I’m cutting my teeth on. Have maybe 30 total laps under my belt. First actual race was a big local trophy race. Yeah I gave marshals a workout. Placed DEAD last. Changing set up to kit set up and starting from scratch. It was in bad shape. Steering block inserts were 2mm left and 4mm front. Lol getting it all to normal and just starting over. Hardest thing to drive I’ve ever down in RC. Lol I’m watching your other videos today. It’s fun to watch you go thru what you do. Thanks again for posting.
Hello, thank you for the cool video. You have a new subscription. Can I ask you what I can do if my 2WD car understeers too much on high grip? I have already tried to get more weight forward. Do you have any other tips for adjustments? Thanks and best regards
You can try a softer front spring or move the shock location on the shock tower out a hole or move the battery position forward. What you may have to do if it’s low grip is try to get more rotation out of the rear so it doesn’t push. With that you can’t a stiffer rear spring or or raising your roll center or going to a thicker oil What can also help as well is less droop Hope this helps try one thing at a time till you find what your looking for. Thanks for the support!
@@BradRC Hi Brad, thank you very much for your answer. I have recently started driving 2WD. I will try your suggestions - point by point. The important thing, as you say, is to make and test only 1 change at a time. The first test will be to move the shock location on the shock tower out a hole. Best regards from Austria.
Great video Brad apart from you got your toe in and toe out effects backwards . Just to let people know. Guess it was just a commenting mistake . really like your videos .
Most people start off with short course as 1/10 buggy is probably the hardest and most competitive class. But if you wanna start off with buggy it may be a harder learning curve but you’ll definitely learn from your mistakes quicker and possibly progress faster. Though there may be more headaches starting out.
Where you located at. I thought I heard Indiana, I’m in Valparaiso. When outdoor season starts where do you normally go? You are very quick on the track hopefully we can meet sometime show me some pointers.
I’m only about 30 mins away from Valparaiso I actually plan on going to King Hobbies and raceway once the weather breaks. Really wanna get in to 8th scale but it’d be awesome to meet ya and for sure answer whatever questions you have!!
Awesome videos Brad . Once I get back to racing (hopefully soon) I hope to cya again at RC Fun Park. Hope to get myself to Impact soon too. Until then keep up on these vids!😎
so I kinda did everything you said not to do (I'm looking for ways to improve my rc) I just got into it and made my own rc car with a 3d printer everythin is 3d printed down to the tires
isnt the correct way to adjust ride height by adjusting droop? how can it be called adjusting ride height when your adjusting shocks? thats adjusting suspension not ride height
I mean, I saved this video to my RC list and subscribed even though no vids past 11 months - this was quality info.

I wouldn’t get a modern 2wd buggy for lose conditions
I love how you showed each adjustment! Great video!

Great video. What would be the sequencing order to setup your car?
Same as un the video? Tire, shocks, camber, toe in?
Great stuff man. This will help me get thru my extreme newbie pains. 😬😉
Always tough starting out! Lol but you’ll get it eventually!

@@JFlyer1973 thank you! Glad your enjoy my videos! And yeah it’s easy to get lost in setup especially when your new to it.
Keep at it!
Should I camber my off road rc? It's a Traxxas rustler and I use it mainly on grass, gravel, and pavement.

Great info Brad!!! Can’t wait for the next one!
Thanks man!
For a beginner I think the shock package is more important. Later tires are more important. Just my opinion
I’m new to the sport, your video really helped me. Thank you. Liked it so much I subscribed
Thank you!! That’s why I do these videos to hopefully help someone out!

what would you recommend for someone getting into the RC racing hobby for first RC 1/10 scale buggy

Great video! Clear explanations and examples!
Fantastic track: Impact. Just looked it up. It's now permanently closed?

Sounds good man
They run 1/10 scale there too right? Not just 1/8 racing?
Nice track
Cool vid. Thanks for posting! Btw, a company called RPM make a toe gauge that works well and doesn't require a set up station 👍🏻

What are you driving and do you have a video on mini b
It is good and clear advices thanks!!
How do you pick which tread pattern and compound to use? Great vid btw.
I would kill for a track like this in Sydney/Wollongong Australia we have zero indoor tracks.
yeah east coast sucks for tracks lol
Can you help me change some parts of my rc car ? Or is there a budget rc car that I can mod with better parts what would be the best option
this is well explained ✌🏻✌🏻
Were you at impact rc in morris il ?
Is this Fitment Industries?
Never seen that be do they paint your dirt track black?
Which brand X-rings do u use on xray shocks??
Fantastic info!
Wish I had a track like that near me. I don’t care for the hard clay- it’s like asphalt. Does anyone do loose dirt anymore?
I agree 💯
Great video
great vid!!!!
Very informative video, you have a good memory or were you using sleepy joe's teleprompter? Lol good video man, i watch the whole thing
11:54 now thats what I call dialed
Thanks bud lol
maybe you should put some jumps in your off road track just a idea lol.
Cars don't lean into a corner.. They lean away...
In Mother Russia, corner leans into the car
What were the first set of tires?
They were rawspeed slicked out clay compound
Interesting...
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Please make more videos dude?
Stay tuned…….. 😁

X ray is really expensive dude
Pretty deuce

Tires.
I don't think that ride height had anything to do with it. Distractions.... Children should be seen not heard. 8:16
Great video
