I have both of these guns, as well as the comped version of the Bul. There are things that I like better on each gun. The Bul trigger is better. I like that you can put various optics on the CS. I prefer the texture on the CS grip, but prefer the size of the UL grip. I do not think the the build quality is much different between them, so it is hard to justify the price difference. If you want the flattest shooting, get the comped Bul. I was shocked with the difference between the normal and comped versions of the Bul.

I just purchased the Bul 3.25 with 100 rounds through it from a guy in Texas who sold it to buy the Staccato CS. He got the CS 2 days later, put a couple of hundred rounds through it and has been trying to buy the Bul back from me ever since. His opinion is that the Bul shoots flatter, has less felt recoil, and feels lighter. The only thing he says that he likes better about the CS is that the grip feels better in his smaller hands. I liked the Bul so much that 2 days after purchasing it from him last week I bought a brand new 4.25 Tac Pro.

Team Blacksmith, the Bul SAS II UL, my first foray into 2011 dbl stacks, it sent me down that lovely rabbit hole, this thing shot so good mind blown for how small it is! My 4” PDP ported by Floyd’s came close but no cigar, lol!! Thanks you for the video! For the $1k difference, I would expect the CS to be better and softer, Scott from SkipsGunz raved about it when he first shot it. (Now he has the Pandemic porting) Dave with DSC Gunwerks does a V6 porting on the Bul, will be sending it out to him next month to see if I can reach CS level, for $325, well worth it he’s a master, his 5” sight-island block comp looks sick PewArmy has a fantastic video on it! I see the future, a video between the CS Pandemic VS Bul V6, whadya think? 😂

I have them both with nearly the identical setup minus the gold fluted barrel and trigger. I also have the Prodigy. The Bul was extremely hard to find. TBH, I didn't have to do anything to my Staccato, but I did change the trigger to a flat one. My Prodigy came with a slew of problems where I had to ship it back twice. Now it's flawless. My Bull is flawless but is a bit snappy.

Great vid man! I got into "2011's", like what - a decade or so ago, however the 2 i had had some reliability issues, (problems with the mags primarily). So at the end of the day i couldn't justify spending huge amounts of money on temperamental 2011 race guns. In fact i actually sold those two and was outa the 2011 game for a number of years. But then i saw John Wick part 3, and seeing as how i had collected every Wick gun in the series up to that point, and seeing as how i heard that 2011's in general cleaned up it's reliability issues, which lead me to giving the STI Combat-Master a shot. And when i did, despite paying more than 4 grand on it, (though that's considerably cheaper than the CM's sky-rocketed price point that it's at nowadays), -when it's all said and done, I was absolutely blown away. I haven't had any, and i mean ANY, reliability issues despite shooting the shit out of it over the past 2 and a half - to 3 years. Since then because of how great the CM was - i began getting other 2011's since then, but even those newer ones aren't as phenomenal as my Combat Master! It's the single best handgun/pistol that I've ever shot, (not just the best 2011). Though i love both the Scaccato P and XC, but i definitely wouldn't rank them ahead of the Combat Master. As for the Bull Armory guns, i've really been contemplating getting one, so thanks for this analysis/comparison.

I got into 2011s about 2 1/2 years ago and only had three issues to date with them. The CM is one of my favorite 2011s and I never had an issue with it since I bought it. The price point on the newer models at times are justified but you can’t argue about the quality and build on some of the models especially the XC, TRS Comp, Infinity and Altas guns. I picked up my Bul SAS II UL a few weeks ago, I loved it since the second I picked it up. I got lucky finding it down in South Fla. THAT TRIGGER though, man it’s sweet and the gun is so light, I actually sold my striker fire Carry guns this week lol. This thing is unbelievable. Mine has the bobbed hammer, if I had my choice I would take the regular one you have.
Trying to decide if I should trick out a P365 Xmacro with an Icarus precision frame and an fdez slide or just spring for a comped Bul UL. I bought a Staccato P a year ago and I love it, just too big to carry.
Hey Grappler!! I tricked out Xmacro sounds great. I saw some builds with the Icarus frame and I’m liking the ergonomics. It would be a tough decision though between that and a comped Bul UL. The Bul UL non-comp shoots amazing so I’m sure the comp model is even better. Good luck with your decision.
I’ve never shot the staccato cs or c2 I don’t no much about them but no doubt they are good guns but I have shot a few bul armory pistols and own a couple and the sas ll ultalite is one of them and I love it,
Hi can you tell me how are you managing to keep a red dot on your sas 3.25 comp as it just has one male lug that goes into the slide.....been hearing the optic plate shears off......what has your experience been with the optic you have on in this video

I went through about 2000 rounds but finally adjusted my non dominant eye 👁️ to focus more on the target and practice my breathing. Not a big stacatto fan. Think they charge too much for what it is. But of course they are built in America. That will raise the cost always. I think I like the silver black a little better than the tin gold Ultralight. How is the bul optic? I like how it looks on there! Wonder if they could even port that fluted top of that barrel. You’re welcome bro. Yeah the price tag on staccato are a bit much in comparison to these new gun builders making amazing quality guns that stacks up to staccatos. I hold color got my attention but I am a fan off silver too. Those why I got them both. The Bul optic is solid. It held up well after multiple rounds and some rapid fires. Someone just sent me a pic of the Bul with a two port barrel done by Impact Machine. Looks pretty nice so I may consider for one of mine.
I have a stacaatto C2 Duo, I want a smaller more carry able 2011, for me I am thinking the best out there is the Wilson Combat SFX9 3.25 or even the 4" they are thinner at 1.15" almost the same size as a Sig Sauer P-365 X-Macro.

Yes sir. It’s their B.A.O.-1 optic. It held up pretty well after 300 rounds. I got the green dot model and it is crystal clear. The put some money behind it. The quality is really good.
Hey Tim. I don’t have any of my EDCs ported but I never experienced any issues being hit with bullet fragments from my 4.25in or 5in ported guns. I know there is certain ammo that shouldn’t be used for ported and comp guns. Plated bass bullets should be avoided. Some are labeled not to use for ported guns. I don’t plan on porting either one because they both shoot good enough for me. I would play it safe and not port any EDC under 4.25”. I hope this helps. Thanks for the questions.

Quick question how does the Bul compare to the C2 older Staccato model? Honestly, I am leaning towards the Bul I am simply not a staccato fan boy people hype it up so much it is the new glock fan boy gun and it is annoying at this point. I will get any other 191 DS besides it at this point lololol
Hey Wendell!! In comparison, they are both great guns but in my opinion the BUL edges the C2 out. The BULs grip, trigger pull and overall design far exceeds the C2. Although the C2 has a slightly longer barrel length. The BUL still mitigates recoil just as well as the C2. Let’s not forget about the $1000 difference that makes the BUL the best choice.
I do not see $1k difference. Everyone I’ve talked to says the Bul is great. For a carry gun I wouldn’t have a bunch of accessories on it. Thanks for the comparison. Honor your opinion.

I’m not 100% sure about other optics but with the Bul optic BAO-1 the rear sight is built into the optic. I am able to co-witness with the front sights with the BUL optic. I did not experiment with other optics on it.

I purchased the SAS II about a month ago without the optic. I called a dealer in Miami for Bul products and said that their optics are not that good. I wanted to purchase a bul optic since it’s a Bul firearm and was looking at the BAO1 that you currently have. I’m not sure if that dealer ever receive the newer BAO1. I don’t care for Holosun but I noticed your Deltapoint Pro. What’s your thoughts in comparing the DeltaPoint to the BAO1 for a SAS II? Also, do you have any experience with Holosun And would you say that either one of those two that you have is a better choice compared to holosun or if there’s any difference at all? I am cross eye dominant (shoot with right but left eye dominant) so a bigger screen works best for me.
Good morning Jose!! Thanks for watching. My go to optic is always Delta Point Pro because I like the wider sight window on it. I chose the Bul optic because it fit the overall aesthetics of the gun and it’s actually a solid optic. I do have two Holosun optics but not a fan of them on my handguns. The only Holosun for handguns I really like is the 509T because of the red dot circle reticle. I prefer other Holosun optics for my SBRs, PCC and rifles. With you being cross eye dominant, I would suggest the Delta Point Pro or the Holosun 509T. This is just my personal preference and experience with theses optics. I hope this helps. @@joseserrano4596 you’re welcome. Yes, the delta point pro has a larger sight picture, battery access on top and metal shroud to protect it from drops. It’s about a $200 to $250 price difference but I believe it is worth the extra cost. There are a lot of videos on the Delta Point Pro so I would suggest watching a few to get a good idea of the benefits.
Both are beautiful guns but prefer the CS. My shoots so flat and smooth. I like the bul barrel look but have heard horror stories on Buls customer service

More comfort than feel. I have EDCs for the different seasons of weather. I carry a more compact EDC during the spring and summer and full size EDC for the winter.

My CS is pulling a little over 3lbs. Interesting. I would give Staccato call to see what that model specs say. 3lbs is my minimum trigger weight for my EDCs.

Not one failure to feed or any malfunction with either one after 500 rounds on each. In my opinion, these two of the best on the market with the Bul having the best price point. I am a fan of both but just my personal preference I like the CS more because of the grip and recoil system. The new Bul Ultralights will have the new Tac grip like the CS. Hey JJ!! In my opinion by shooting the CS and C2 side by side, the CS grip and new guide rod system makes it easier to shoot and mitigates more recoil than the CS. By no means would I sell my C2 but for overall performance and concealment I would reach for the CS. Thanks for watching and feedback.

Hey Ryan!! Great question. I prefer the flat face trigger because my finger can be placed on any area of the trigger. Top, middle or bottom and get a consistent feel and faster follow up shot. This works better for me with competitive shooting. A curved trigger in my opinion only provides your finger placement on the middle of the trigger. Depending on the situation, especially in self defense I would want my first shot to be as fast as possible. This is only my personal preference. Thanks for the question. Thanks for watching.

He got the CS 2 days later, put a couple of hundred rounds through it and has been trying to buy the Bul back from me ever since. His opinion is that the Bul shoots flatter, has less felt recoil, and feels lighter. The only thing he says that he likes better about the CS is that the grip feels better in his smaller hands. I liked the Bul so much that 2 days after purchasing it from him last week I bought a brand new 4.25 Tac Pro.

I have them both with nearly the identical setup minus the gold fluted barrel and trigger. I also have the Prodigy. The Bul was extremely hard to find. TBH, I didn't have to do anything to my Staccato, but I did change the trigger to a flat one. My Prodigy came with a slew of problems where I had to ship it back twice. Now it's flawless. My Bull is flawless but is a bit snappy.

Great vid man! I got into "2011's", like what - a decade or so ago, however the 2 i had had some reliability issues, (problems with the mags primarily). So at the end of the day i couldn't justify spending huge amounts of money on temperamental 2011 race guns. In fact i actually sold those two and was outa the 2011 game for a number of years. But then i saw John Wick part 3, and seeing as how i had collected every Wick gun in the series up to that point, and seeing as how i heard that 2011's in general cleaned up it's reliability issues, which lead me to giving the STI Combat-Master a shot. And when i did, despite paying more than 4 grand on it, (though that's considerably cheaper than the CM's sky-rocketed price point that it's at nowadays), -when it's all said and done, I was absolutely blown away. I haven't had any, and i mean ANY, reliability issues despite shooting the shit out of it over the past 2 and a half - to 3 years. Since then because of how great the CM was - i began getting other 2011's since then, but even those newer ones aren't as phenomenal as my Combat Master! It's the single best handgun/pistol that I've ever shot, (not just the best 2011). Though i love both the Scaccato P and XC, but i definitely wouldn't rank them ahead of the Combat Master. As for the Bull Armory guns, i've really been contemplating getting one, so thanks for this analysis/comparison.

I got into 2011s about 2 1/2 years ago and only had three issues to date with them. The CM is one of my favorite 2011s and I never had an issue with it since I bought it. The price point on the newer models at times are justified but you can’t argue about the quality and build on some of the models especially the XC, TRS Comp, Infinity and Altas guns. I picked up my Bul SAS II UL a few weeks ago, I loved it since the second I picked it up. I got lucky finding it down in South Fla. THAT TRIGGER though, man it’s sweet and the gun is so light, I actually sold my striker fire Carry guns this week lol. This thing is unbelievable. Mine has the bobbed hammer, if I had my choice I would take the regular one you have.

Trying to decide if I should trick out a P365 Xmacro with an Icarus precision frame and an fdez slide or just spring for a comped Bul UL. I bought a Staccato P a year ago and I love it, just too big to carry.
Hey Grappler!! I tricked out Xmacro sounds great. I saw some builds with the Icarus frame and I’m liking the ergonomics. It would be a tough decision though between that and a comped Bul UL. The Bul UL non-comp shoots amazing so I’m sure the comp model is even better. Good luck with your decision.

Hi can you tell me how are you managing to keep a red dot on your sas 3.25 comp as it just has one male lug that goes into the slide.....been hearing the optic plate shears off......what has your experience been with the optic you have on in this video

I went through about 2000 rounds but finally adjusted my non dominant eye 👁️ to focus more on the target and practice my breathing. I would sometimes hold my breathe when I shoot so I had to break that bad habit too. Thanks again for the feedback and support.

Not a big stacatto fan. Think they charge too much for what it is. But of course they are built in America. That will raise the cost always. I think I like the silver black a little better than the tin gold Ultralight. How is the bul optic? I like how it looks on there! Wonder if they could even port that fluted top of that barrel. You’re welcome bro. Yeah the price tag on staccato are a bit much in comparison to these new gun builders making amazing quality guns that stacks up to staccatos. I hold color got my attention but I am a fan off silver too. Those why I got them both. The Bul optic is solid. It held up well after multiple rounds and some rapid fires. Someone just sent me a pic of the Bul with a two port barrel done by Impact Machine. Looks pretty nice so I may consider for one of mine.
I have a stacaatto C2 Duo, I want a smaller more carry able 2011, for me I am thinking the best out there is the Wilson Combat SFX9 3.25 or even the 4" they are thinner at 1.15" almost the same size as a Sig Sauer P-365 X-Macro.

Is there a reason why the SAS 3.25 comes with 2 different types of hammers? I have the version that's flush with the pistol when its cocked back.

what about the issue being ported vs non ported gun? u thikn it's safe to shoot the bul armory sasII ultralight and does staccato cs is ported or no?
Hey Tim. I don’t have any of my EDCs ported but I never experienced any issues being hit with bullet fragments from my 4.25in or 5in ported guns.
I know there is certain ammo that shouldn’t be used for ported and comp guns. Plated bass bullets should be avoided. Some are labeled not to use for ported guns.
I don’t plan on porting either one because they both shoot good enough for me. I would play it safe and not port any EDC under 4.25”. I hope this helps. Thanks for the questions.

Quick question how does the Bul compare to the C2 older Staccato model? Honestly, I am leaning towards the Bul I am simply not a staccato fan boy people hype it up so much it is the new glock fan boy gun and it is annoying at this point. I will get any other 191 DS besides it at this point lololol
Hey Wendell!! In comparison, they are both great guns but in my opinion the BUL edges the C2 out. The BULs grip, trigger pull and overall design far exceeds the C2. Although the C2 has a slightly longer barrel length. The BUL still mitigates recoil just as well as the C2. Let’s not forget about the $1000 difference that makes the BUL the best choice.
I do not see $1k difference. Everyone I’ve talked to says the Bul is great. For a carry gun I wouldn’t have a bunch of accessories on it. Thanks for the comparison. Honor your opinion.

I have a bobbed hammer on my SAS UL. Did you replace your with skeletonized hammer? If so, what was it?
What’s up my brother!! I did not replace it. I bought it used so I am not 100% sure. To my knowledge, the original Ultralight have the skeletonized hammers while the new ULs have the bobbed hammers. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

Quick question with the ultralight no matter what optic you put on you lose the rear sight correct?
I’m not 100% sure about other optics but with the Bul optic BAO-1 the rear sight is built into the optic. I am able to co-witness with the front sights with the BUL optic. I did not experiment with other optics on it.

I purchased the SAS II about a month ago without the optic. I called a dealer in Miami for Bul products and said that their optics are not that good. I wanted to purchase a bul optic since it’s a Bul firearm and was looking at the BAO1 that you currently have. I’m not sure if that dealer ever receive the newer BAO1. I don’t care for Holosun but I noticed your Deltapoint Pro. What’s your thoughts in comparing the DeltaPoint to the BAO1 for a SAS II? Also, do you have any experience with Holosun And would you say that either one of those two that you have is a better choice compared to holosun or if there’s any difference at all? I am cross eye dominant (shoot with right but left eye dominant) so a bigger screen works best for me.
Good morning Jose!! Thanks for watching. My go to optic is always Delta Point Pro because I like the wider sight window on it. I chose the Bul optic because it fit the overall aesthetics of the gun and it’s actually a solid optic. I do have two Holosun optics but not a fan of them on my handguns. The only Holosun for handguns I really like is the 509T because of the red dot circle reticle. I prefer other Holosun optics for my SBRs, PCC and rifles. With you being cross eye dominant, I would suggest the Delta Point Pro or the Holosun 509T. This is just my personal preference and experience with theses optics. I hope this helps. @@joseserrano4596 you’re welcome. Yes, the delta point pro has a larger sight picture, battery access on top and metal shroud to protect it from drops. It’s about a $200 to $250 price difference but I believe it is worth the extra cost. There are a lot of videos on the Delta Point Pro so I would suggest watching a few to get a good idea of the benefits.
They really need to have a flush mag for these. Makes conceal carry much better

How’d you get the TiN barrel on the UL?
I got it from Bul Armory. This is the original model when they offered the TiN color. Unfortunately, they don’t offer it anymore. My Bul Armory SAS II Air has it too. The only options is to send it to DSC Gunworks to get it done. They do get work. Thanks for watching.

More comfort than feel. I have EDCs for the different seasons of weather. I carry a more compact EDC during the spring and summer and full size EDC for the winter.
I want to get Bul armory and port it and see how it does. I’ve shot the comp version and it’s good but I favor porting over comp

Do you Loctite your optics, and if so which color do you go with?
Yes. All the time. I always use the blue loctite. Just a dab on each screw. The plate screws and and optic screws.

My CS is DLC barrel flat trigger and it’s pulling under 3lbs from the factory. Am I the only one with this “issue”?
My CS is pulling a little over 3lbs. Interesting. I would give Staccato call to see what that model specs say. 3lbs is my minimum trigger weight for my EDCs.
How did you even get the bul? No gun dealer seems to know what it even is.
The BUL with the gold tin barrel and trigger, I bought used from the Bunker Gun Shop in Warminster, PA and the other directly from Bul Armory. It is a specialty 2011 that a lot of gun shops don’t know of or would have in their inventory.

Not one failure to feed or any malfunction with either one after 500 rounds on each. In my opinion, these two of the best on the market with the Bul having the best price point. I am a fan of both but just my personal preference I like the CS more because of the grip and recoil system. The new Bul Ultralights will have the new Tac grip like the CS.
Right now Bul is discontinuing the old models for the new models to be released soon. I would go to their site and get notified when the new models become available. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

I don’t get how a smaller gun (CS), can outperform it’s bigger and heavier counterpart the (c2). Can you elaborate?
Hey JJ!! In my opinion by shooting the CS and C2 side by side, the CS grip and new guide rod system makes it easier to shoot and mitigates more recoil than the CS. By no means would I sell my C2 but for overall performance and concealment I would reach for the CS. Thanks for watching and feedback.

Do you like the flat face triggers over curved? If so could you please explain?
Hey Ryan!! Great question. I prefer the flat face trigger because my finger can be placed on any area of the trigger. Top, middle or bottom and get a consistent feel and faster follow up shot. This works better for me with competitive shooting. A curved trigger in my opinion only provides your finger placement on the middle of the trigger. Depending on the situation, especially in self defense I would want my first shot to be as fast as possible. This is only my personal preference. Thanks for the question. Thanks for watching.
