Great video, I have several early Omegas .
Fantastic video, appreciate your time putting together. Absolutely lv the waffle dial, something with it will be in my collection.
Another great video. Very informative
Great video, many thanks for sharing
I have recently serviced ($180 in Caracas,Vzla) and replaced with new original acrylic, my late dad´s Omega Seamaster CK 2577 first genenration with the bumper caliber 354 (which is not a rotor, and adds caracter to the piece, you can feel heavy bumping inside). Mine its all correct and original, screwback with the seamaster engraved. With the three types of lumes, all fadded different, the hands are still light green. just added a leather or metalic mesh strap and it looks gorgeous. I will appreciate now a little more the "Beefy" lugs. Its is a small watch, but has presence. I love the sectored waffle dial, already aging well in a beige tone. Thank you very much for your knowledege.
Wow, thank you so much for taking your time to write this comment. That's wonderful stuff and enjoy your CK2577 with good health.
Thank you for another excellent video on the vintage Omegas. The Classic style of the 50s, 60s, and 70s models are very intriguing to me. Only I’ve never had the opportunity to buy one yet. Hopefully I will come across one in my travels. Thank you again for the excellent content.
Best of luck and I hope you will find one in the near future!
Have subscribed thank you great site can you advise where I could get a replacement face for my omega same calibre 👍🏴
I have the Seamaster and Constelation.
Thank you for sharing this informative video. I'm currently servicing an Omega seamaster manual winding Caliber 420 (Case Ref: 2814 A1 SC) and would appreciate any insights you could provide regarding its manufacturing date or era. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for the video🤙
Iam spending lot of time learning about those early seamaster with bumper caliber since Iam desperately looking after one, but I have been facing two issues ...the first, on the fact that so many aren't genuine at 100% weather it's the dial, crown or hands...I've seen more non original pieces than genuine ones ....
And the second is related to the prices which has absolutely skyrocketed since a year or two
Soo now I am learning more and more the get the right one I can afford (mainly thanks to your work actually)
Thank you very much for your work, I watch all the videos and especially those ones
Wonderful videos… please make a video about Seamster 1969 … Omega 120
Thank you 🙏
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed my videos. Unfortunately, the prices of vintage watches will only continue to go up. Believe it or not, there are many private Omega collectors who have a high degree of knowledge about vintage pieces and will pay a lot for an all-genuine piece that is in great shape. I know a handful of these collectors and they are very quiet and under the radar. You won't find these guys in forums criticizing other collectors' watches. Guys who know their stuff are usually very quiet and mind their own business.
If you are able and manage to find an all original piece in great shape for a low price, then a big congrats to you! Good luck! :-D
You asked about this before and I provided a link last time. Here it is again: ua-cam.com/video/oJ-tJZR7OBs/v-deo.html
@@TimelessHistoryChannel well it's not what I really ment maybe I didn't explained it well....iam not looking for a serviced NOS piece at 400$ , of course I know that it's impossible to have an all gemiune for a lower price...what I'm waiting for is more a piece which has a non re painted dial althaugh it's aged, with corresponding crown, matching case, caliber and caseback, an unpolished case even if it's has marks, even with no information about the last service if the price is OK....a one according to my budget which is actually not low ;)
And if this is impossible well no problem I will continue enjoying my other watches with bumper caliber: Mido, UG, Movado, Cortebert or the next piece I will find during the journey...this why I like the vintage watches
As for the modern ones if people are going crazy for some them, juste turn you eyes for the thousands other options 🙂
Whatever it is, just make sure that the movement is in good working order. Nowadays, bumper automatic parts are hard to locate and these movements may come with some troublesome issues. Hope you will find a nice piece. :-)
Great video, lucky to have one of those, cal 351, the slimmer lug version. I have it in a two tone dial with the Seamaster actually written below the Omega automatic, on the top of the dial.
Have you had/seen any of those?
I am assuming a CK 2635?
I have sold a few of those. Still have one in full set on my site. :)
love your videos. even if I am just enjoying your collection or learning about omega timepieces. I recently purchased a 50's ish seamaster with an odd case. I believe it is termed hidden lugs? but lugs are not fully hidden just short. was wondering if this is original or a Frankenstein? guess I could open it and see what's on the case back...
Not sure to be honest. Find out the case model number and Google it up. I’m sure you’ll find other examples if it’s genuine
Mine has snap on case back, similar dial to the one on 6:35. But automatic.
Excellent presentation.Any chance of doing something similar for vintage Omega Geneva .?
Thank you for the comment. The short answer is, the quality of a Geneve is just as great as a Seamaster (if you are comparing two pieces of the same year). The long answer is, Geneve is very broad. If you watch my past videos, you will learn that several Seamaster references after 1967 will no longer be called a Seamaster and instead become a Geneve model instead. But whatever the case may be, you can always apply most of the knowledge from this video toward examining a Constellation or Geneve reference as well. You can always watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/KP0PG23oEwo/v-deo.html
love these. i like the waffle dial (prefer black on solid gold case) with a date at 6 or 3. don't know how to specifically identify them though ... ! 2627 only ... ?
I’ve made a video on 2627, not the same case design. 2757 is a beefy lug with calendar at 6. Calendar at three would no longer be a bumper automatic. I’ve also made a video on that. Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/URDCOdEeo4o/v-deo.html
Thank you Have subscribed can you tell me where I could source for the same omega face as a replacement 👍🏴
Unfortunately, these dials are long discontinued.
Haave you considered doing a vid on Omega manual wind watches 1950-1970
I would love too. But there are way too many models that carry a manual wind movement.
Did a OMEGA Seamaster ever come with a Exacto Golden Lion 21 Jewels action ??? (its a manual) watch THANKS
Great video! Does the seamaster line have a solid gold variant?
I would say almost all Seamaster lines will come with a solid gold version.
@@TimelessHistoryChannel Interesting, what's your favorite solid gold omega?
Great video. I have a 2767. It runs a caliber 354 and has a push down back with seamaster stamped on it. It also has a 10sided crown a little like you see on constellation. Is all of this correct for this model?
Thank you
2767 originally sold with a clover type crown. But a watchmaker can replace the old crown with a 10sided crown as it has the same dimension.
Thanks for the info mate, if you up the production game a bit more youll have more subs forsure
Thanks for the tip
What's the crown called or the crown and stem part number for the 2577-11 anyone know where to find one?
What model is the one with the blue strap...beautiful piece!
The model number is in the title of this video, actually. 😅
@timeless History Channel Is there any chance that the dial comes without luminous hands and marker?!
Yes, some dial variations do not carry any luminous paste, so their hands will be solid without the center strip.
Good stuff!
I'm curious, what is your camera/lens combo at ua-cam.com/video/Fj2B4TzPb5k/v-deo.html where you pick up the watch and the camera keeps focus as you bring it really close to the lens?
iPhone 😅
The first watch is one of my grails. I wonder if anyone has one for sale at a “good” price?
is a omega 2577 with a BEADS OF RICE BRACELET ok? was the watch sold with a steel bracelet?
Absolutely! BOR or mainly with a leather strap.
I have a gold automatic w/ date ...may sell.
Good luck with sale. You can try offering it on ebay or the Omega forums
What size wrist do you have
6inches
how mach
make sure its a 500 movement
Make sure to thoroughly watch the video and understand what case model this video is about. For caliber 500, you should watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/URDCOdEeo4o/v-deo.html
Sold vintage omega ghadi interested
Is this unpolished??
That’s correct. 2577 has two different case designs. Earlier version like the one in the video has smaller chubby lugs. It looks polished. The later version with fatter lugs is easily to tell whether it has been polished or not. The later version has a removable bezel as well.
