My ZTS1 46” arrived a few days ago and I love it. Already done one acre and barely dropped the fuel tank at all, so I think it would last 3 or 4 mows between fuelling.

Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!

These steering wheel zero turns do go straighter because it's a lot easier to hold hold a steering wheel steady than twin sticks when going over bumps and divots and branches at speed. And for lawns with curvier contours and edges these do get the job done quicker than twin sticks.

Yesterday I went to go look at one of these and the traditional twin stick. When I drove them the first thing that came to my mind was I don’t know if I can drive in a straight line with the twin stick lol

ZTS2 here.. Mowed the yard once, (WOW!) and already am hacking that 2 x 2 mess in the back. I have no idea what it's all for, but it's in the way. Likely Cub Engineering had a late design cycle problem and had to move stuff to facilitate access (OSHA Involved) to the fuel fill cap. What's it all For? We have this seat sticking way up high w/Armrests (No Safety belt), then this ultra strong Engine Roll Cage. I figured it out. Fixing it.

The body lines and the yellow and black color scheme, on the new Cub Cadets, look very cool. It seems like the younger generation has taken over the company and they are making their lawn tractors and zero turn riders look really cool. I'm a regular parts counter customer at your Nicholson, Kenton County Store.

Just got a zts2 50, I like it, well I want to like it but I may have a serious issue and that's with engine vibration being transmitted through the frame to my touch points, specifically my feet and back of my thighs through the seat. After just 25 minutes on the machine, my feet back back of lower thighs were left tingling and it lasted up to an hour in my feet after getting off.
The engine is a direct to mount plate setup and the frame is super rigid, allowing most vibration to reach the operator. The rubber floor mats are relatively stiff/hard as is the "comfort steering wheel". The seat has a hard point pivot attachment near the front that transmits vibrations even through the foam seating, although it ends up being compressed by body weight, allowing more vibes to be transmitted into the legs. Nothing significant seems to be transmitted through the steering wheel though.
I'm in good health with no health issues or medical conditions and I do not have a problem on my old craftsman riding tractor, which has a direct to frame mount Kohler courage 19 hp single cylinder engine.
The zts2-50 has a Kohler 23 hp KT730 direct to frame mount.
Wondering if other folks are noticing an issue with vibration fatigue, etc. on these machines, or if there's something up w/ mine.

I have a new ZTS2-50, no vibe here. Was $5700 which is very high. I've heard the belt tension spring might need to be stiffer. I could see a Loose/Tight belt oscillation getting started and wrecking havoc. Check your spring, maybe drill another deck hole to make it stiffer?

@@markhall3434 thanks, it's engine vibration that's a higher frequency than belts and pulleys. As it turns out I really don't have an issue with it once the deck is started and I start moving it. It's dampened out.

I bought this mower last week. I love it. Have you put a bagger on it yet? I'm actually trying to confirm if the counter weight actually fits. I need additional weight in the front, I have slopes in my yard. Thanks in advance.

That model is 5800 bucks in Canada

The zts2 have the zt 2800 hydro gear transmissions, whereas the zts1 have the the zt 2200. The 2800 is a bit beefier and is serviceable, with external spin on filters. The 2200 does not.
Also, in my opinion, the LED headlights are lame, there's no reason a machine like this should not have nice bright lights. I tested mine the other night on the zts2 and they are weak. Can you see enough to mow in the dark? Sure, but barely. LEDs are easy these days and are not that expensive to put something decent on a machine of this price point. I plan on upgrading, they'll come in handy in the fall when doing leaves. Once standard time is back, it gets dark at 5pm around here...

Great review, quick question. Does the 42 & 46 have the same footprint, with just the deck size being different?

Thank you for this video . Is the left pedal the clutch/foot brake?. I realize it has a parking brake but does it also have a foot brake for stopping ?

The left pedal raises the deck. There's a dial for adjustment settings.

How's the steering effort compared to the rzt? Steering was little tight on those, hard to do with one hand.

    • @jasondeering8841
      @jasondeering8841 2 роки тому +1

I just received this model. The steering effort is minimal, the problem is the steering wheel is rubberized and is very grippie. It’s rough on my hands after awhile. I’m going to try a knob on it.

It may be. They get a lot of the entry levels that don't require as much expertise from a dealership. The larger models won't be.
