I bought my wife a Cub Cadet PRO 560 KW S early last year - right before mowing season - she has taken over all the grass mowing duties now. She never wanted to mow with a garden tractor before, now I can't get her off of it. I'm not complaining - it gives me more time for working on chainsaws, tractors and cutting firewood. Cub Cadet has a winner with these steering wheel models over the zero turns with the levers. She can drink her favorite beverage while blowing through the grass mowing without needing to stop.
every time I try one out, I get a little closer to taking one home!
I own one this machine is the best of the best never had a problem with my zero turn with the steering wheel. It’s so awesome.
cub is killing it
It's a pretty impressive little machine
I just got mine and i love it! One thing i might try is a knob on the steering wheel because the wheel is rubberized and very grippy, after a lot of Turning it’s a little rough on my hands.
Those little buggers sell like hotcakes around here!
How much they they cost? Comparable to reg. Zero turn? Need to replace my raptor zero turn, and this looks interesting. Am looking at a regular 50" cub cadet zero turn for $3900 at my local TSC.
Usually they sell for 800-isj more than their lap bar counterparts
That’s exactly why I got a steering wheel knob on my 2023 Ultima 50” ZTI thanks for your advice and I’m doing thick 6’ high fields 30 degrees It’s a beast !
I want one....love this unit...easy-to-use. For the wife..
If you're real nice, I'm sure she'd let you try it out every now and then.
One thing I learned is most people with zero turn mowers change alot more than those with regular riding mowers
Check it out because your just getting the grass cut is all
I bought this mower last week. I love it. Have you put a bagger on it yet? I'm actually trying to confirm if the counter weight actually fits. I need additional weight in the front, I have slopes in my yard. Thanks in advance.
Haven't tried a bagger on one, but Cub tends to make a pretty great system. Big ol' tube that doesn't clog too easy. The old front weight kits bolted on pretty easily, so hopefully this one works the same
@@HomesteadBandwagon Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to hold off until I can confirm if the weight will actually fit.
at least with that one you can have a beer with it doesnt take 2 hands to drive it .....
Only zero turn mower id ever own I hate the regular ones and will never own one!!
In order to lift the deck, do any of the other levels have to be a particular position. My ZT1 42 will not depress when pushing on the left hand side, Any ideas? THX
All you should need to do is depress that lever. Might be something bound up in the linkage?
Awesome! I have the ZT1 42 been using 2 seasons good mower so far. Hadn't seen this machine yet can also drive with one hand pretty cool!
Cub is consistently making some real winners. The only thing i don't like about my zero is that it's so hard to take a sip when it's hot out. Kinda makes me want a steering wheel again!
@@HomesteadBandwagon Great point💯💪🏽
RZTL ZERO TURN CUB CADET. ITS THE SERIAL NUMBERS SUPPOSED TO MATCH UNDERNEATH THE SEAT AND SIDE OF MOTOR?
Nope. The engine will have its own unique serial number
What is the used value
Cub cadet showing these models sold out..
Engine shortage. It's been a real pain trying to get mowers this year
how do you mow in reverse my zts1 does not
On the steering wheel models, you can start the mower, click the key left one click, and then press and hold the little triangle button with the exclamation point in it for a few seconds. Should allow you to mow in reverse until you shut the mower down
thanks for your support, and it worked great for your advice
I got a new one in my garage with about six minutes of run time on it ready to go. Like most of the USA, we are currently experiencing third winter here.
I'm sure you'll be able to use it by July or August!
I have the zt1 50 standard zero turn, have used it for 4 seasons. It is the best mower i have ever owned and does a terrific job. The only issue i have is the suspension, it beats me to death. Does this mower with the steering wheel have any type of suspension other than the useless hard rubber pieces under the seat.
Cory B The most help you can give one of these mowers on hills is to change your rear tires to a traction treat, this will make a huge improvement in mowing hills.
We got one with the steering wheel, and like it. ( and yes we still get stuck and need the ATV to pull it out sometime ) We have had it for about 5 years now and mow about 2 acres with a lot of obstacles. Thinking about upgrading to a new one, but the one we have is working so well, I hate to take the chance we get one that doesn't. Not too bad to take the deck off to sharpen blades for a 65 year old, does not use oil with the Kawasaki engine and still on the original battery. A little difficult to change the oil , needed to fabricate a piece of pipe to keep oil from going everywhere when changing. Thanks for posting Homestead Bandwagon.
Sounds like you've got a fantastic machine! Keep er on the grass for as long as you can!
Do a video showing how it works
Is there one transmission or two. If there is one transmission than this mower should be cheaper.
These run dual hydros just like the lap bar versions
Yeahh i hear ya .. but whatt izz the price 0nn that thing .. i wonder 🤔
For how many years long I can used, that mower is diesel
have a cub cadet z force zs zero turn, barely moves in reverse?
Could be a number of things causing that- sometimes, the linkage between the reverse pedal and transmission can come partially unhooked. Or, it could be a failing transmission
I have ZT2 60 inch. It's a Beast. Bars are always faster to turn than a steering wheel.
For sure. We use a lap bar mower at our property, but these steering wheel units are fantastic on properties with a lot of slopes!
CUB CADET - PLEASE make this model/style in 42"/46"/48" in an ELECTRIC version!!!!!!!!!
So you can pay more but only be able to mow for less time before a lengthy recharge? And need to replace the batteries after 5-7 years? No thanks.
