I love making my own coleslaw with red and white cabbage and leeks all shredded, also with my home made mayonnaise made with pure olive oil I’d eat it every second day with roasted sweet potato chips seasoned with paprika chilli powder turmeric powder and cracked black pepper and pink salt then pop into the oven with a bit of grass fed butter .. tasty 😋
I am so happy that okra is a superfood that is also prebiotic! That is my food here in Africa that my Gabonese grandma used to serve us! Thank you Dr.!
Home made sauerkraut is so easy and good everyone should make it. Simply add a sprinkle of salt to cut up cabbage and let it ferment in a jar on the counter for a few days. Add Siracha sauce and red pepper and you have kimchi. Its nothing like that stuff you buy.
I like jicama.I had jicama for the first time in my favorite Mexican restaurant and it was incorporated in a salad. The jicama salad was delicious with cilantro dressing.
asparagus, pomegranate with very specific mission with accermansia bactery, sourdough rye bread increasing lactobacillus reuteri, kiwi, and my favourite ones burdock root and yerusalem artichokes, kudzu root, and many many more.. cheers from Prague
Hicama is good. In indonesia it is called as bengkoang and we often make it as salad with peanut sauce then it become "rujak bengkoang" which so delicious!
The only thing I can easily get is okra. Being in a tropical country, okra is very abundant and I can get it fresh (we also have em at our backyard)! I love it and eat it regularly sometimes with low-carb kimchi and sauerkraut!
This fellow gives some good basic general scientific information pertaining to food and nutrition. Prebiotics and probiotics are most important for any training bodybuilder at competition levels.
Thank you Dr. Grundy for all your healthy education. You have changed my life. I just started your supplements and changed my daily routine of eating and I feel great! You are amazing and I am so happy I found you!

Hi there! Interesting question! We'll add this to our growing list of questions for Dr. Gundry to possibly answer in an upcoming UA-cam video! Don't forget to subscribe to our channel and turn on alerts so you never miss an update.
Jicama is my favorite fruit! I used to eat a lot of it when I was a child, but when I moved to big cities, you can only find them in some small markets.
Yes..take cooked warm white rice and add warm milk to it..let it ferment for atleast 12hrs..then eat it with onions..good combination of probiotic and prebiotic food..this is an ancient Indian recipe..
Dr. Grundy How about the Taro Leaves, we always cook the leaves in coconut milk, it's yummy, are there lectins in Taro Leaves and we also eat the Taro Root, Eddoes in soup, the bigger Taro root, we boiled them remove the skin and add grated coconut and it's our snack.
I love to eat Flaxseeds, sesame, hemp... How much it's okey to eat them every day? I use 30g sesame, 20g flax, 30g Hemp end plus G.D. aproved Nuts, not much. I figure that some walnats in my country sprey with something, i think. When i take them, my mouth get hurt end then get dried. In my country food in Markets are to bad, they sprey evrything end the bad part is that they overdo. My Doctor informe me about that. There are no organic variants for now ... Greetings from Bosnia, big fan 😊
You may be allergic to walnuts. But if you’re not, try to find some local producer who doesn’t use pesticides. There are plenty here in the Czech Republic. Nobody sprays walnuts here. 🤷🏻♀️
Fresh artichokes are a cinch to prepare at home. Cut all but about an inch of the stem off. Cut off the first third of the choke. Steam to tender (fork goes with very little resistance into the base of the choke (top of the stem). Eat step one: Pull out the leaves (most will have the tops cut off), dip bottom in butter and slide meaty part into your mouth with your teeth. Eat step two: After all the leaves are gone, take a spoon with a square edge (like a measuring spoon, not a spoon you'd use for eating which has the edge rounded) and scrape the hairy part off the concave top of the "meat" of the choke. Eat the solid portion that was under the hairs down to the stem (the stem doesn't taste very good in my opinion, but you can eat that, too).
Artichokes are very easy tu prepare. In latinamerica we boild it and eat it with a sauce with lemon, oil and mustard. We eat them leave by leave extracting the last part of the leave.
Awesome......I have avoided artichoke most of my adult life just watching my mother steaming them upside down and them all we did it take the leaves and dip them into melted butter! Then there was Olive Garden's artichoke dip I learnt to copycat this recipe and all my guests went wild for same! BUT HELL it was so unhealthy now you have introduced me to to artichoke once again it is on the TOP OF MY LIST at Costco along with Jicama cannot wait going to Costco tomorrow ............LUV YOU DOC!
I started eating the Left in free way. So happy to have discover this method. I have lost 9 lb and my joints feel much better. My question is can fermentation make oat meal, quinoa, and green tomatoes ok to eat? I'm hopeful that fermented oatmeal can be added into the winter breakfast menu. Thanks
Didn't know that about okra. Was thinking of cooking it this week. It is one of my favorite vegetable. It's great to know it has prebiotic fiber. I never get frozen okra. Always buy it from Asian stores.
Great video! I'm trying it. I must say that I used your polyphenol face lightener on one side of my face morning and evening for two months and really tried to see a change but did not.

GHB - The nectar of the Gods !! Some good wine & European beer also good but don't mix with GHB very bad on Liver, one good thing at the time .
Important to note that flax seeds kills testosterone in men due to its high phytoestrogen content: higher than soy. Also notable are that asparagus and brussel sprouts work well for this too
Flaxseed is very healthy for you but I was adding to my oatmeal... and I wasn't too fond of it.. I couldn't take the consistency. But the other four I will give it a try.
Interesting question, Elizabeth! We'll add this to our growing list of questions for Dr. Gundry to possibly answer in an upcoming UA-cam video! Don't forget to subscribe to our channel and turn on alerts so you never miss an update.

Adding Lemon juice to the OKRA while frying (with onion...etc) inhibits it from
getting Slimy Sticky .

We Mexicans are very used to jicama. We eat it with lime/lemon juice and salt - and I'm sure some add some picante sauce.
I am Mexican and love Jicama with or without the lemon/salt. Love ❤
Hicama is good. In indonesia it is called as bengkoang and we often make it as salad with peanut sauce then it become "rujak bengkoang" which so delicious!

I tried that but it takes very long time to ferment
This fellow gives some good basic general scientific information pertaining to food and nutrition. Prebiotics and probiotics are most important for any training bodybuilder at competition levels.

Hi there! If you eat foods high in prebiotic fiber such as artichoke, chicory, asparagus, etc, it feeds your probiotics and they produce butyrate.
