Love all your videos Andrew. I appreciate you clearly walking us through each shot. You were also instumental in my preparation for my Iceland trip back in June as you provided some great videos on your experiences there which helped me better prepare. I'm also just starting to vlog about some of my landscape photography outings, but I have a long way to go to get comfortable being in front of the lens, and being properly descriptive of my setups and secenes as you do. So thatnks for all the great content. Always learning from you and other vloggers out there!
Thanks so much Steve, glad you like them! Hope you enjoyed your Iceland trip, that would now be a distant memory, I know mine is. So pleased to hear the videos helps with the preparation for your trip.
Great shots and video. Just subscribed so I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work. Great inspiration for my upcoming trips to Acadia and Monterey here in the US.
+John Edwards thanks John, by the time I took the second and third shot the sun had come up and there was some beautiful soft light in the sky. Thank you commenting, it's great to get your feedback!
Haha, it looks a little closer to the edge in the video, but I was keeping my eye on it. You can see my head whip around a few times checking on the incoming wave, raising water or seeing whether the wind had knocked the camera off the rocks, luckily I have a very strong and sturdy tripod.
Haha, sorry about that. I probably should have been more specific. Denmark is a beautiful small country town on the southern coast on Western Australia. It's a location we visit often for holidays. I've never been to your Denmark, but I'd love to visit one day!
+Igor Grigorjev thank you for commenting. I first set up the shot with my 16-35mm lens with a CLP, but it didn't seem to make much difference and I wasn't happy with the composition. So I went a little wider with the 14-24. Unfortunately I don't yet have a polariser for this lens, nor do I have an adapter or filter holder either, may be one day. Thanks for sharing your advice, I appreciate the feedback!
ok, i got it. Recently, I discovered that even on overcast day CPL help to remove some glare and give some more contrast to a picture. love your content! keep going mate!!!
+Igor Grigorjev thanks very much Igor, so glad you're enjoying the videos. You're right about the CPL, in most situations it likely going to enhance the image. I appreciate your support!
Yeah, as you would expect there is diffraction at f22, but after sharpening it’s not significant enough to ruin the image. I wanted the wider angle for the shot, so used the 14-24mm lens. I don’t have the ND filter kit for this lens (it needs 150mm filters), so decided to stop down to f22 instead. That was fine for the purpose of this shot. Thanks for commenting!
Good video, but I dont understand 1 thing. You used f22 with no filters for the first pic. Its better to use a filter and be around f8-11 that way you loose less quality in the image :)
Good point, I do like to shoot around that f-stop, however I was using my 14-24mm lens, which requires 150mm filters which I don't yet have. It is a compromise when using this lens but I wanted the extra width in the shot. Thank you for your comment!
Thank you David, I don't actually have any filters for the 14-24mm lens at this stage, so I only use the lens in situations where I don't need filters or a polariser. I'm looking at changing that with a Lee or NISI 150mm filter system.
Stunning shots Andrew and really enjoyable video.
+Vicky Moran thank you kindly Vicky, glad you enjoyed this one!
Nice one Andrew. Loved that 1st shot of Elephant Rocks.

+andy sheader thanks Andy, glad you enjoyed this one!
Nice video, don't think I would walk that far from my camera when it's on the edge of rocks 😀

Perth photography ! Yay
Go Perth! 🤣 Cheers Lee! 😀
Thanks for explaining the Denmark kangaroo...........I was also wondering about that myself.

Nice video! Subbed!
Thank you, I appreciate your support!
que distancia focal vc usou nas fotografias?
Thanks for the comment, image 1 - 14mm, image 2 - 32mm, image 3 - 62mm, hope that helps!
obrigado Andrew
No worries, Paulo. In my latest video I started adding the focus length to the information at the bottom of each image, as I know it can be helpful!
It really confused me when you said you were in Denmark because that's where i live and we definitely don't have kangaroos!
Haha, sorry about that. I probably should have been more specific. Denmark is a beautiful small country town on the southern coast on Western Australia. It's a location we visit often for holidays. I've never been to your Denmark, but I'd love to visit one day!
CPL will work in first photo , it remove glare from the water and give u more saturation punch to a image.
