The fetch app allows you to earn money just by taking a picture of the receipt with your phone. On average, it can earn you about 2-3 CENTS per receipt. It can earn you bonuses here and there and based on what you buy but the basic minimum is 2-3 cents. And if you use it a lot or scan in a lot of receipts, you will see most of your scanning will earn just about that much after conversion to a gift card or visa gift card value.

So, what does Fetch do with the info on the receipt??
I work part-time at a grocery store so I take the receipts from people who don't want them. Then i scan them while im being paid at my wfh job. so it's just something "fun" i do so i don't pay any money to amazon. i just use the points i get from here.
Daaaaamn thats smart. Essentially free money xD.

Agree that Fetch is not an efficient use of time, but one feature I really like is that receipts are itemized so I can go back and see exactly how much I spent on what. Appreciate your content!

I’m not trying to make a living on Fetch ! But I always have my phone on me, it only takes a second to scan a receipt for stuff you’re buying anyway so it’s nice at the end of the month to be able to get a gift card for money you’ve already spent
I feel like fetch has been just another thing on my to do list “ugh I have to scan my receipts” which ends up with piles of receipts, then spending time checking the dates before fetching…no, no, this is not worth the time. In my opinion. Thank you so much for making this video! I am glad to see others agree.

Fair and I Agree with everything in the video :) I never buy anything for the points and the bonus points I get from items I needed/other people receipts can add up. It's just barely worth it for me.@@BeatTheBush 🤣 The worst part is they took away the spin bonus!
I just got 6000 points in 1 receipt. The key is to buy the brand names at the grocery stores that they choose. The rewards could be up to 6000 at one time. I got up to 45,000 points in one week.

My dad purchases a lot of name brand candy/snacks in bulk for work so it kind of makes sense for him, bc he gets the points bonuses, so each receipt is like 1-2k points
He must be using the offers where you buy a specific product and get points. Yes, that does make sense in that case. Don't forget to put it on a cash back credit card too.

I use this app as a change dish. Whenever I get the fidgets I can use it as a time killer. Now and again I can turn in my accumulation for a gift card. I'm definitely aware it's not a huge moneymaker though.

I love the app BUT there is one glitch: It doesn't apply any points for your Walmart Pick Up orders as there is no receipt. The email doesn't list the items or their prices so there's no way for the Fetch app to apply points. Just wasted points??

What do they use those receipts for? Will they declare those receipts as business expenses somewhere?
You can data mine them for consumer habits. Or at the least, you can get eyeballs on the app and this translates to advertising dollars.

I don't scan any receipts, only use the e-receipt feature where it automatically scans my amazon and gmail for purchases and applies points. It's one button. It's not a lot of money still though, but I just say why not. The scanning physical receipts though is a total waste of time.

I noticed the devaluation. I also scan Google rewards at the same time, so it's barely worth my time. If Fetch devalues again, I'm quitting.
Ask yourself… what does Fetch earn from you in order to give you money?
even if it made more money, say as much as 10 cents per receipt or more, adding a whole extra task to my routine is just unwanted clutter in my day to me. fetch sounds a lot like "the house always wins"
you can only get interrupted so many times before fatigue sets in.
