Just wondering regarding Xbox Series X, is it possible to replace thermal putty with thermal pads on the VRM and Ram chips?

Well, technically, it's possible, but I would never recommend using thermal pads in that particular console because there are non-standard gaps between the components and the heatsink. In theory, you can use highly compressible pads, but they have terrible thermal conductivity. The harder the thermal pad, the higher its conductivity. Therefore, Usiren U6PRO thermal putty is the best solution available on the market. If the console seems to work fine (except no screen) and the controller syncs with the console, then most likely it's either HDMI port or retimer chip.
