Sayif Saud is REALLY good at analysing the fighters moves and explaining it to the audience
Very easy to digest and interpret 👏
Is that the guy who says "kay?" every 15 seconds? It's a shame because it distracts from otherwise good analysis.
Thats it though. He is dead wrong on it analysis of what both fighters need to do to win. He talks to much for a pay check!
Not at all, he’s explaining so people can bet money on Israel Adesanya. If it goes to a decision, it’s Israel’s fight. Alex Pereira by 2nd round KO or Israel Adesanya by decision.
Luke Thomas is a better analyst
This man just make it soo easy for a noob/fan like me to understand what’s going on inside the octagon. Thanks for both these gentlemen
There’s nothing fancy abt izzys game anymore. He just throws leg kicks at range. Even my 8 year old sister walked in on whittaker vs cannonier and asked “why is does he keep kicking him” and “is that allowed?” Lmaooo
@@ryanrich7133 +great defensive boxing +feint game +distance management +takedown defense
@@ryanrich7133 tell that to Izzy’s opponents because they can’t even hurt him anymore
There's a guy called Dan Hardy, who did it much better
@@ryanrich7133 dude it's more than that. The angles he takes, feints etc. Everytime someone really tries to engage him, either they get KOed like Costa and whittaker 1 unless they have chin like Kelvin. Or they don't engage him and Izzy silently metnally breaks them while also getting all the blame for being boring.
Sayf Saud does an amazing job here. I can't believe how good these two strikers are it's unbelievable to know that they're making these decisions so quickly. Truly a chess match.
indeed it is
This man made me listen to a 49 minute breakdown and had me hooked the whole time. Brilliant. Other host was good too for not interrupting.
Same here. If only I could've stayed up in my past lectures like I did here.
Bro forreal, 49 minutes just evaporated, I was glued to this.
Yeah Fitz is a G
fitz is just there to help
i was just thimking thsat, kept me not only interested, but fully invested, and really fascinated
This demonstrates just how masterful Izzy is and most people think he just jabs and runs.
Man Sayif is brilliant at this, would love him back for some more breakdowns
it's a thing now. this is the second show thus far
@@user-fx5cd4px3k love to see it!
Phenomenal breakdown, first time watching this and really impressed with how Sayif explains everything for the fans. Great work!
That angle of the spinning elbow on Gastelum is fucking tight - great analysis & breakdown of both fighters.
That right hand after the high kick on Brunson for the KO is underrated. Like a whip
Saud is a beast on this breakdown. Pure genius, and not relying on any fluff statements. Facts!
Sayif Saud is the man! Definitely a great coach to listen to in the fight game 🔥
My favorite part was where he gave Stylebender’s keys to victory “control range and stay off fence” it’s keyword for run away and don’t let Pereira finish the fight 🤣
LETS GET INTO IT!!
@@benjaminrichard7741 lol
@@benjaminrichard7741 It’s for smart folks to appreciate. Not for low IQ folks. Sorry.
Fantastic breakdown. This was the only other thing the UFC was missing their own breakdown session/detailed analysis. many other youtubers are doing it, glad to see they are also jumping in to this source of views.
This format is not really new though
They've been doing it since Dan Hardy you scrub
@@victorpapillon1487 🤣🤣🤣🤣 unnecessary but funny
They had a show called Inside The Octagon before.
@@victorpapillon1487 Hardy was a way better analysis and did better delivery
Coach Saud taught my first MMA class at Octagon MMA in Dallas (around 2011/12). He was an outstanding coach and one of my best friends fought (and won) 2 fights under him. I remember during that class I had on a t-shirt with my college’s engineering school and when I was struggling with a concept he said to me “You’re an engineer right? Well you need to look at this like an engineering problem.” Made me appreciate the sport a whole lot more.
Same. He taught me so much about MMA. I won the IIJC MMA tournament in Ohio (around 2014/05) thanks to him. He was incredible and taught me to never give up. I remember during class he emphasized how I should look at the problem as a mechanic. It's a mechanical problem he said. I have great appreciation for the sport now. Before I just did it for the giggles.
Fans claim Izzy is boring but there is a reason fighters don’t rush in. The way Izzy controls pace and the fight is masterful.
Casual fans just want to see a slugfest, they don't care about the art and science of the martial arts, or the fighters' well being. Plus zero attention span.
That's why they call him boring, like they called Mayweather, GSP, Usman, Khabib, etc. boring
Same thing they say about Mayweather that's boring.
We got spoiled by Silva
yea the reason is called adesanya vs costa lol
Izzy has had solid 5 title defenses, he always steps up for the challenge and I feel his opponents are reluctant to push the pace due to Izzy’s counter strikes, Alex Pereira is someone who’s going to bring the fight to Izzy, should be a solid match up 👏👏👏
Yeah cause everyone he fights is 6ft
Both Pereira and champ are counter strikers don't be surprised if champ freezes Pereira and steals the win.
True because Cannonier and Marvin were absolutely trash 😅
@@benjaminrichard7741 well Jared isn't bad at all he's just not as good as izzy. I love how fickle you MMA "fans" are after a top 5 guy loses one fight 💀🤦♂️ goldfish memory
very well said
That was a Dan Hardy level breakdown. The guy on the right was very good!
these guys legit just copied dan hardy lol he made his video yesterday and these guys just repeating lol
@@David-bu2mw dans videos on the first 2 fights are much better and more accurate analysis
Sayid Salami
@@David-bu2mw you think they waited until Dan Hardy released a video and then copied it? Lol sure thing
@@David-bu2mw what a 🤡
Alex really did get saved by the ref in the 2nd fight. No standing count in MMA if he gets hurt like that again then he’s getting knocked out.
I think it really bothers Alex. I don’t think this fight will be as close as people think. Izzy level of striking may be the best in the entire UFC. And when he gets pressured his instincts and reflexes are so effortless. Never out of position twice in an exchange.
@@bblwarrantydepartment981 Nah This is before the fight But I’m calling it AND NEW! Unless Izzy makes it a snoozefest
Sayif puts in the work. Great insight and explanation. Definitely a lot of film study from Mr. Saud. Thanks.
Great breakdown on both fighters. Makes me look at Izzy’s style completely different
They should have Rashad do breakdowns
Adesanya tends to engage more with aggressive fighters. See how it went down with Borrachinha and Whittaker. I hope Pereira goes after him, it's gonna be a great fight. Plus, people say it's gonna be an easy KO for Alex. I'm not so sure. Their second fight is the proof of how they're balanced.
Israel being the most non hittable fighter in the ufc pretty much proof too
@FuckMMAfans What utter gibberish. Izzy would make Alex look amateur.
Alex would still have the size and power edge (indeed, it is because he walks around so much bigger that he'd struggle to make 185 and that means one day or rehydration wouldn't get him back to his normal walk around weight, leaving him weaker than Izzy, that'd make him more sluggish & easier to hit).
But if you didn't know --- obviously you don't know --- that looking for hail mary one-punch KOs in the UFC against another elite is a fool's errand, then you will find out this Saturday.
Alex is probably the only fighter at 185 whom Izzy doesn't have height, reach, and range advantage over; in addition, Alex is an exceptionally strong fighter. But if he wanted to be a UFC champ, he should have left Kickboxing 3-4 years ago, when Izzy left it.
Now, it is too late; now he is more than 3-4 years behind Izzy in elite MMA development.
In kickboxing, where there's 10 - 14 ounce gloves and standing 8 counts, Alex had the edge. As the physically stronger, he could endure more punches from those giant gloves. But even then, he's close to being KOed himself.... from a much more agile Izzy. That agility of Izzy has INCREASED, not decreased, when he transition to MMA, because in MMA there are more way to hit and to get hit, with NO standing 8 counts, separating pauses by the referee, etc.
With 4 ounce gloves, and as elite fighters, whether you hit someone with a more moderate 90% power punch or a 100% power punch, if it lands, it WILL cause great harm. Izzy's MMA experience fighting against elite wrestlers (Romero, Brunson et al) and strikers (Vettori, Whittaker et al) in the last 3-4 years at the UFC will clearly show through Saturday.
Alex ALWAYS will have that one-punch KO power; but the probability of landing against Izzy has DECREASED at the UFC, not increased, due to the lack of experience he has compared to Izzy, when it comes to doing elite MMA over years...
@ reggie hopkins jr. what are you guys talking about? The most unhittable …. Bro nobody tried to go in on him. Costa… nope. Cannonier… nope…. The people that go in hit him. Rob…Marvin… ESPECIALLY GASTELUM!!! REMEMBER HIS FACE AFTER GASTELUM?? Polish power touched him…. You guys are absolutely trippin. Yea he gets out of shots… but nobody is throwing volume. When they do he gets touched 🤷♂️
@FuckMMAfans thats proven fake news. he was hurt against willnis still beast though
@FuckMMAfans facts. Izzy was getting caught smaller fighters like Jared and Whittaker. He never fought someone with his physical dimensions.
Adesanya knew the knee was comming and actually said it watching live. Such insane skill set.on top there Adesanya Periera are both championship level.
Indeed, alex is in trouble
Love these breakdown videos! Alex's timing and power vs Izzy setting traps and footwork. 🔥
U mean Izzy running around till he finds a shot he likes?
@@donkeygat93 Nothing to prove when you've already beat the shit out of 2nd best and the biggest in your weight class 🤷🏽♂️
@@donkeygat93 do u expect him to stand in the middle of the octogen and trade blows like an idiot? Not even 14 year old boxers do that and i say that have been one. There is an art to violence. Maximising damage inflicted while limiting damage absorbed. Nobody is immune to a KO
@@donkeygat93 reaction from a dummy who doesn't understand fighting
@@donkeygat93 Just because you or your favorite fighter just stand there in the middle of the octagon & swing as hard as you like... it doesn't mean Izzy or others have to do the same shit.
This is an exceptionally mentally and physically brutal sport... where hits and misses by flying fists & legs & elbows & knees of elite fighters --- in addition to submissions --- are in the millimeters or micro second, there is no reason to be "exciting" or tough guys, to make low IQ fans happy.
A smart fighter wins fights & wins championships ANY WAY he or she can; and an EVEN SMARTER fighter does it with THE LEAST punches, kicks, elbows, & knees landing on his body....
UFC really needs to make this man and these breakdowns a regular thing.
absolutely
The flying knee and grabbing the back of a head was a legendary knockout, its was beautiful and masterful.
What a fight breakdown. It only take a coach to understand all the breakdown you did. Keep up the good work
We need more shows like this , for the actual fans! straight up just fighting info! best show fr saud the goat analyst
Man Sayif Saud is the man! So easy to the ears and much enjoyable
Sayif Saud is very good, best breakdown since Dan Hardy left
This gentleman made the fight very easy to breakdown for new and old fans of the sport. Much respect. Giving us an insight of the fighters mind.
It’s time fans start to appreciate Izzy’s mind. He’s just so good. He is so calm that he plays out everything in his head before the fight. I wonder how he does that. If he can survive a dangerous man like Anderson Silva, I think he can cause an upset on this one
This made appreciate Alex and silva more and less izzy he's kinda just reliant on his physical attributes which is something only black ppl seem to be able to do since they got the best genes but I mean think about that when ur longer and stronger naturally skill matters less and when u add skill it doesn't matter past a certain point thr black will usually win its like competing for a woman us regular dudes might have to try this or that but the black dudes just have to be black and the chicks naturally pick them cause bbc it's kind of like being in a nicer car and asking other dudes to race alotnof it is just luck for being born with bbc and it's less impressive as a result
Loved watching this!! Makes you appreciate the skillset of these fighters so much more

I love these breakdowns. I hope they do more of them. As a non fighter, it helps me understand the smaller details I wouldn't otherwise understand
They gloss over they're kickboxing matches but I do think izzy should've won the 1st one & that standing 8 count is a game changer for that 2nd fight. None the less 2 losses for izzy so I do respect the fact that he ran into this fight didn't try to dodge pereria at all. This should be a goof one. I will say sometimes izzy fights to not lose instead of fighting to win but this fight feels different. Should be a banger
@116H izzy? stamina? you gotta be fucking kidding me
@116H ok but that doesn’t change the fact that pereira got outstriked both fights. Lmao
@116H and the fight is in a cage so there will be more space for Izzy to move around and show his footwork so good luck if you think pereira will knock him out.

izzy is brave man, could have easily let a top 5 with strong grappling beat alex to never reach izzy, he wants to beat alex so bad due to the loss from kickboxing. Personally i feel like robert and vettori beats alex easily. Even lower ranked , costa, kelivn(maybe not due to age), jack hermansson.
Lol, Dana is the boss, not Israel.
@@MrElpajita izzy asked for the fight.
You act like Alex can't stuff a TD 💀🤦♂️ all of those guys you named except Whittaker get slept by poatan. To even bring up Hermansons name is laughable
@@josiahgonzalez942 Alex only fought one top 10 middleweight, not only he cut a big line, he have not fought any decent grappler. There was no grappling exchange btw Sean Strickland and Alex, So we simply don't know how he deals with high level grappling. Hermansons would have been a great fight to showcase Alex grappling defense since Hermansons doesn't play standing and go straight for take downs and submission. I will even agree if izzy is picking the fight now and letting Alex cut the line due to him not wanting alex to get more mma experience before eventually catching up to izzy.
@@desistang8794 he’s just gonna Stan on Alex cause he’s Brazilian lol. The ufc knew Alex would get wiped by anyone in top 5

Surprised one of the best breakdowns for this fight is from ESPN. This was really good
This guy is a breakdown expert. Best I have heard at breaking it down so a noob can understand the science of fist fighting
In their first fight, Izzy got robbed. In their second fight, he was winning even more dominantly, and got caught and KOd. I expect he feels confident he can win, but he'll be very prudent.
Actually he didn’t get robbed and the second fight was on a weeks notice for Perria still koed him stiff
He wasn't dominating at all. Pereira found way more success at closing the distance and effectively hitting
A weeks notice while being an alcoholic and coming off an injury after 7 odd months.. First fight he was practically a noob
Let me guess. You never actually watched the fights.
i like how izzy fans use every opportunity to say izzy was winning both fights

Alex only throws the hook once you pick your lead foot off the ground and try to place it back down for a step he hits you in between you picking your feet off the ground and trying to take a step either you’re going forward or backwards he will still get the kill do you have to stay planted in front of them sliding your foot on the ground instead ask me how I know I live in Connecticut
