Not sure if Sayif has done these breakdowns before for UFC, but this was one of the best MMA breakdowns I've seen. Bring Sayif back for every PPV.
Yeah, he does them quite frequently. I agree, he's very good.👍🏾💯
Was thinking the same thing
fr that was a great analysist
Nah Luke Thomas does actual MMA breakdowns.
I agree wow
This analysis was excellent from top to bottom.
Great work, this guy knows his stuff.
He's the one who replaced James Kraus as Brandon Moreno's coach! Legit martial arts mind.
He's a coach
Could be a half hour if he didn't say everything twice
Sayif Saud has a good mind for the sport his game plan for Brandon to be victorious was great
favorite momemnt is that they cant say rozenstruik
Brendan standing there for an hour is really impressive
He’s on the clock
I actually really like the dynamic between them and how Brendan just lets Sayif get deep into the analysis without interruption.
Brendan loves it too!😉
give these men some goddamn chairs
I see him feint once in a while.
Love him or hate him. It's pretty fkn exciting to have Jones back.
Hes back to maybe fight once a year but most likely not. Pass
@@bushisback112 & yet you’re still watching the fight this Saturday lol

Massive massive props for the incredibly deep and accurate analysis but, also, massive props to the guy just listening and asking questions only when needed.
This is top quality sports journalism, I only wish all sports had this kind of an analysis ahead of games/matches.
You haven't seen and heard Ariel breakdown the finer points of unarmed combat? It's the bees knees zzzzzzZING
Exactly, the other guy just listened. It's incredibly hard to see these days because everyone is so sure of their opinion and wants to talk.
@@cletusharrison9918 exactly, no one wants to be silent and learn from the experts so you yourself become smarter
Dan Hardy breakdowns are really good too. Please review
Having two people makes it way more interesting, even if one guy is only actively listening. An active listener, makes the show work so well. I love it.
Sayif Saud has to be one of the best analysts out there. I love every breakdown that he does. He does not missing anything.
The dude in the left, props to him standing there for the analysis 👏.
I would have slapped the little dude bald head a couple times.
No one can stand there better than fitzgerald 😤😤😤😤
I will listen attentively always 🫡
As long as a Mexican crowd isn’t throwing drinks near him while commentating with Bisping, Brendan is a solid and dependable coworker who would never abandon his post.
I will have to agree with everyone else. This was an amazing breakdown. No wonder this guys brings so many fighters to the contender series. Sounds like a great mastermind.
This is a great analysis.
Very good break downs on both fighters.
Saud vs Hardy who yall got? 🤔
@@mykedynomite HARDY is more fun and enjoyable and informative about fighting skills, Saud has mastermind of tactics so he gives more detailed everything. I would go with Saud.
Sayif Saud is a master at analyzing even a novice can understand the nuances
I think a good eye poke at the start of round 3 would definitely secure the heavyweight crown.
I hope to God they don't let it be a poke fest with cage grabbing and glove fingering
It's okay tho bc Ciryl's gonna land no less than 5 hammerfists to the back of Jones' head.
As opposed to gane elbowing and hammerfisting the back of the head?
oh god stop crying. a poke isn’t going to break cyril or make Jon, so let’s not act like that’s a game changer.
I am shocked, I was expecting a bad eye poke from Jon. He has turned a corner, this was one of his most decisive and clean victories in his late career.
Ciryl has not had a longer reach than everyone he has fought, he fought Francis who has an 83 inch reach.
Volkov too
@@jacobschuman5219 Gane has an 81 inch reach, Volkov has an 80 inch reach.
True. Gane is 0-1 against fighters with a longer reach.
@@Thirty. that could be a factor
@@pistisbalu2021 except he won on the feet pretty clearly against Francis.
I really liked Sayif’s breakdown and analysis in this video. I really hope that we get more of these videos for upcoming UFC events.
Wow, Jon gets so technical with his eye poke setups. Incredible.
Jones fan but solid dig lol

Lmao, the thumbnail had me fooled
7:32 awesome point about how AS tried to counter Jon's reaching, and how Jon had an answer for that too. Gr8 analysis. I would offer that it all builds off of his reach advantage. Imo it all starts w that for Jon's striking. If he doesn't have that big reach advantage, I'm excited to see what other answers he might have
I love these breakdowns.
The past few years I’ve really gotten into mma.
Seeing it all happen live you don’t realize the small details.
Who else hopes to god that this hugely anticipated comeback of Jon Jones doesn’t end in a McGregor-like injury in the first or second round
Absolutely. At first, I thought this would be the type of fight that Jones or Gane would want to end quickly, but now I believe they'll want to extend this a bit as they play this chess match and really test themselves before really aiming to finish. I'm anticipating a 3rd or 4th round finish from either one of them
They're big dudes if it makes it past 3 rounds it'll be a grind
Remember that picture with Conor, Weidman, Silva and Jon Jones? What's the one thing they all have in common besides Jones? It's coming...
@@bloodybutterfly7113 it’s a damn miracle it hasn’t already happened with those legs of his:
I have always dread that. Thought it was only me.
Great analysis! One small inaccuracy though is that Ciryl already fought someone with a longer reach. That was Francis N’gannou. And in the striking department we know that it didn’t bother him at all.
Jones 84 inch
Francis 83 inch
@@TJ-tb2ky yeah both longer than ciryl who’s 81
This is gunna be amazing can’t wait! Good luck to both!
So basically this is Godzilla vs MegaGodzilla. 🤔
I can't wait for this one. 👍
Cannot said enough good words about this 1 hour masterpiece, job well done!

Sayif Saud. Coaches some of the best fighters in the game. He's in somebody's corner almost every card
Sayif Saud is GOAT of MMA analysis!
Dan Hardy
@@InfliiKted Thats right. But Saud always have big screen and UFC loves him for doing their breakdowns for fight as well.
we loved "inside the octagon" because it was more like a conversation. this thing is more of a question then a 10 min answer, like an interview with pictures. I liked the content, but loved the previous setup more, if anyone cares
Coach Sayif is great on fight breakdowns!!!! Thanks UFC!!!
Great work!
Kudos to Fitzgerald for standing stoic and quiet for 60 minutes.
Brilliant breakdown! 💯
Ciryl got that look away kick like how Aoki does in boxing
Jones dominated shorter opponents. With less reach. He struggled with people his size and reach. We'll see how he does. Either he's gonna be better. Or much worst. Simple
ya
I don't know who this jines is but he must be a bad mofo
Did he dominate Gustafson 2nd fight via submission. Yeah.. ok
@@chi_0647 difference is Gus could only fight in one range, had fewer tools and was the same speed as jones. Gane fights well in 3 ranges, more tools than Gus and faster than Jones.
@@emilianosintarias7337 it doesn’t matter!! Gustafson is the same size yet casuals say Jon struggle against fighters his own size.

Does somebody know what software are they using for that video? To rewind or slow down
Excellent break down and analysis!
Why is this one hour long? We all know Jon "Pictogram" Jones is going to eye poke his way to victory.
FRENCH WILL BE TOASTED HAHA ....
@@5CRALREADY I like mayonnaise.
showing the same strikes theyve thrown against opponents was fuckin mint
Shockingly similar. Particularly the head kick
Both guys are so technical.. can't predict or figure out who will come up on top...
Maybe for you
Gane has 0 wrestling and little to no bjj. His guard won't be threatening. Jones will beat him down bad on the ground and in and around the clinch. I expect Jones to put it on him early and mix in wrestling on the cage. He might make this look stupid easy imo.
Spot on about Jon spamming his measurement and absolutely abusing his reach advantage. No one better at that than Jon imo. Interestingly enough, Jon does have reach advantage in this fight too, which could be bad news for Gane. However, Ciryl is naturally larger man overall and about same height. So will Jon still be able to use his reach to such devastating effect? I'm not sure. But then you realize Jon's true advantage in this fight imo is in his wrestling. And it starts to feel like it's his to lose, bc Gane is not on his level on the ground idt. But we'll see, can't wait for fight! Let's gooooo 🔥🔥
outstanding analysis!
dang Cyril's front kicks looked like Baki
The size difference between JJ and his opponent especially in the beginning of his carrier is massive. He definitely was on PEDs too. Crazy to think he will be heavier than Gane too.
Amazing detail from Sayif!
How Jon beats Cyril:
1. Get caught with Tbol in your system
2. Have UFC change rules to allow you to keep having tbol in your system
3. Show up juicier than the second Cormier fight and prevail.
"he's gonna pull a Rodriguez here" I'm invested but that cracked me up
he launch Jab like in martial art : karate or kung Fu like snake
yes
Great analysis, I thought this was ESPN at first lol. What the UFC has done is incredible
I really appreciated Sayif's in depth analysis here. He is very knowledgeable and very talented. Exceptional presentation.
Been a while since I caught one of these videos on UA-cam. John Gooden & Dan Hardy sure do look a lot different these days>??
Sayif Saud's breakdowns are so good and easy to understand
Ahh I was hoping y'all were going to do this again
I dunno who the guy on the right is, but his commentary and breakdown are on point. He's not biased towards one fighter. He calls the motion and moves very well, and he explains what the fighters are doing and how and why. He knows his stuff.
Great stuff. Well done.
Sayifs breakdowns is on a different level. Love him.
best breakdowns there is for me that i have come across
this guy just spit the best analysis ive ever seen. Flow state man good work
amaizing analysis and breakdown fight, great work, from Puerto Rico
i just don't see how jones avoid getting destroyed by gane in that cage honeslty.
Quite easily I believe. Jones gets it done in 3
you must be trolling lmao
This must be a joke comment right? Ur talking about the GOAT
I think Jon will be forced to grapple where he does have the advantage
Hey Coach, just worry about your boy Jeff for this card, Shafkat is not easy
Ciryl is very technical for a heavyweight but you can’t put him in Jon Jones level.
Lol but Jon already had difficulties at Dominick Reyes level
@@YOUENNNN 1 fight out of 28. Do you realize how fucking retarded you sound. Way to expose yourself as a fucktarded casual that has only seen 1 Jon Jones fight. Also Reyes was undefeated at the time he fought Jon.
Gane and Jon are both top tier strikers. The thing is Jon also has top tier wrestling and BJJ.
@@TheRealAbraxas I wouldn't say JJ BJJ is top tier, he is a purple belt
@@YOUENNNN That’s the only fight Jon Fought? He did defend his belt 13 times. Something Gane never touched. He’s just interim champ because Francis left 😂lol

I've seen sayifs analysis only once months agg and I'm happy to find this one as a preparation for tomorrow!!
Cool to see coach safe in this analyst role. Well done coach!
14:35 Ngannou has the longest reach of any of Ciryl's previous opponents. Volkov has the longest reach out of any of his past opponents who are still in the UFC.
Great analysis... I completely agree with you on a lot.. especially the fact pawing for range can get you caught.
If I'm waiting for you to grab at me.. I'm planning an up kick, straight overhand down the pipe or a spinning kick.
I will take a hand a pull people into punches or kicks. 😅.. it's legal, heavyweight trick to landing inside on long opponents.
My only worry for cyril is landing on his back, I'm not going to say he can francis gane, Francis is more powerful than we think, but if Jones gets gane on the ground, it's bad.
Wtf is a straight overhand?
@@shakenbake8597 it's a boxing term to describe a punch.. a overhand, that comes straight down.

Thank you sooo much for this incredible and enjoyable breakdown from a 27 year long mma fan and humble mmaa practitioner.
As always, a brilliant breakdown.. Sayif is surely the best in the business
Great analysis guys
A lot of people talk about how Jon Jones isn't a good boxer but he is an excellent MMA striker, not a boxer. He strikes with the smartest, most efficient, & most effective option everytime, & DOES NOT waste motion.
yes but he doesn't punch hard, and doesn't have good head movement, and that matters at HW
Nah bring back Gooden and Hardy.
