everything for the fish... even drop tons of lead in the nature...great invention !!!
Yep pisses me off too mate 🤯🤯
They are non toxic and lead free. they are just called leads.
@@nathandarlington-x7b leads are definitely not lead free lol
Love the mcf clip used it for . This looks well finished and a good product 👌
👊👊
An updated and better version of the mcf lead clip 👍
MCF clips I've used for years. Love em, but I'll be having a look at these.
Looks belting dan..guna give these a try mate..fair play to Jay and max for the soild testing of them looks a decent design chaps...well in ridgemonkey
Good idea and with a fair price tag.But i wonder if its more dangerous having that metal clip being dragged around over just a swivel being left behind.Feel a swivel has less chance of getting snagged on anything where that one has more of a chance of getting caught up.Be intresting to see once more people start using it and testing it.
That was my first taught
If you switch it round it won’t release so the comments about anglers pushing on the tail rubber as to not release the lead is void , you shouldn’t drop the lead full stop
This is exactly my thought on this. But it will catch the angler (for sure).
Danny dyer works for ridgemonkey??? 🤣🤪🤪
Pretty disappointed with these lead clips, every time I used it to not drop the lead with a 5oz lead the lead still comes off 🤦♂️such a sick looking lead clip but it needs some type of adjustment. I think the reason the lead comes off it’s because when the fish is actually fighting it tends to push the metal insert out and basically makes it come out of the slot which makes it turn into a drop of system no matter what. Lost every single lead due to it
If you can stop the lead coming off how is it safer than a standard lead clip????
The lead will discharge when put under pressure, assuring fish safety 👍
To bulky and to spiky
Do these hold the tubing tight so it doesn't ride up the main line ? Really like the look of these
The main body is hard rubber which grips the wire extremely tightly which prevents it being pulled out accidentally during use so you don’t need to worry.
@@RidgeMonkeyUK cheers lads ,,great product as always and thanks for the response..
In depth review of a lead clip but can’t do one for a bivvy. I’ve searched everywhere for an in depth review of the 2 man compact and not one on UA-cam. For the price I don’t get it.
I’ve seen like 3 different videos of them putting it up mate
@@louiesfishing4177 drop a link buddy so I can have a look
Be warned - there big, bulky and weigh in well over 35kg. recently had to replace my xf1 compact
@@liamharding2875 They are stupid. But you get a free gym work~out every time!
Where can I buy the uin lead clip
So you've got a choice of the lead fixed permanently or drop off everytime?
Yes! Although when choosing to retain the lead, it will discharge when put under pressure
@@RidgeMonkeyUK ah OK that's good. My mistake I was thinking it was totally fixed😅
@@RidgeMonkeyUK It must be a lot of pressure tho, If they can stand 10 oz weights...
Been a carp fisher for over 30 years, i dont understand why you wanna loose a 2.5 euro lead after a every fish you catch. The lead should drop of the rig after a fish breaks off. Feel the fish better in a drill? Guess im gettind old.
Any 1 else got that coat? My zip gets stuck every time so much so its ripped the flap inside😩
I have and it’s bloody lovely!!no problems yet, take it back mate. That’s not acceptable for the price we’ve paid
Can it be used in a helicopter rig setup?
Could it be used semi fixed but if you have to pull for a break will it lose lead
It will lose the lead, yes 👍
How is that set when long distance casting. Any of the team have any issues?
These are just a refined version of the MCF dumper clip. I've used that for yrs, no problem on long chucks, the inertia keeps the lead tight in the metal loop towards the hookbait. Only ejecting on pick up
The only problem comes when using bags, as can cause lead ejection on impact of the water. Easily solved with some PVA tape
@@richcurtis813 Thanks for the info. More or less what I expected. For me personally, I would not use this device in a pva bag, but everyone to there own devices. I will defo try these clips just to satisfy my curiosity 👍😉
Lead poisoning upsets the metabolism, causes neuropsychological disorders and saturnism.
It's a major source of pollution .
Mfc lead clip are very similar
Paper clips are cheaper
Can you use this on a helicopter set up ?
Seriously?
Looks bulky
