its about appreciating hard work. some people cant afford a crap load of money to buy an expensive car like that. so we build them. n yea hondas are known to be cheap reliable and fast. put 8 to 10k on any honda and you can go against any 30k or 40k muscle car. thats a fact. yea sadly they're alot of ricers and riced up hondas but for those who really work hard to build em. i have nothing but respect. also for muscles cars and European cars. anything thats done right deserves respect.

I agree many people cant afford a high end car like a Porsche. Hondas can be built to beat cars that are way more money and way more potential. But yet here we are still beating records and converting the HONDAS into AWD and running 7s and crazy things. So all that time that we have made our cars from Slow 16 second cars to 13s to now 11s to 10s and then 9, 8s its about the Will power to make them great.. Sure You can go buy a Fast Porsche 911 that runs 10.2 right out of the box. But it would not be so much fun to build. Its already built. Look I appreciate all kinds of cars. If God gives me the money to buy many types I will. Currently I have Two CRXs, MK3 Supra , TSX , Porsche Macan GTS Twin Turbo, and would like to add a NSX. So guys its about what you want to do what is your dream. Do not do others dreams you build for you. Build your cars make them unique to you. If its low riding do it. If its rice style do it. At this point I appreciate everyones builds slow, fast, Rusted out its about us.
As an American, IMO you are a poser if you own and race a Honda, that's because I grew up around gearheads that didn't have a lot of money and still beat the pants off all JDMs with Ford Pintos,that's why I laugh, we all saw Fast N Furious, Honda is for kids...I've seen VWs smoke Hondas,etc etc etc

I understand the civic is super light and has a respectable 500hp. But how can you expect to even be a match against something with almost double the hp and it's not like the porsche is that heavy either.....both cars are awesome though. Respect

Tbh i've seen 700-800 hp civics get down pretty fast. All depends on how the cam gears are setup and best would be the LS transmission, it spins but would still pull crazy. But porsche is a much better platform to begin with ofcoursee.... Muthafucka's can fit 305+ tires on that bitch, if only a FWD civic could look half decent with those big ass tires on..

thats a valid point, engine didnt smoke at all though it just went all at once, head gasket, all 4 pistons, now its getting sleeves pressed in, wiseco 10:0:1 compression pistons and eagle rods, now the only reason why i suspect it was bad gas was because the engine ran perfect, then i filled up on gas at a station thats notorious for having crap loads of water in their premium because no one buys premium there, a week later my car wouldnt even start

Because there is less wheel spin. Unless i have slicks, i spin from 0-120mph. If i am already rolling there is significantly less wheel-spin.

40 is my sweet spot on the neon. I wot shift to 3rd to keep in boost and it's all fun from there. I also don't think the civic was making that much power. I wheelspin a lot with 420hp 453trq. It was fun to watch though... Lol
I totally agree with you. People should run it out the hole. If you cant drive or if your car sucks and you have to race from 80mph, changes need to be made.
It's easier on the drivetrain ( i.e break less parts ), it helps even the playing field for RWD/FWD vs. AWD out of the hole and lastly dependent on the situation... not everyone has the luxury on the highway of coming to a complete stop.

i love honda's and build them myself. even owned an integra but realistically honda's are just cheap to build. otherwise don't think that everything has limits. the honda and porsche are like apples and oranges two different classes. like I said I LOVE honda's and I am loyal to the brand but I am also realistic.

i dont think honda's are cheap to build, at least in my country. to build honda like in this vids you might end up paying at least 40K for everything include the wheels,cars, engine everything...while a common salary here in my country around 200bucks a month.

Em12k will not be a boom lol, just a simple compression loss, because the ringlands will go to shit before any of the rods go. Honda motors are strong, but when it comes to boost, the ringlands need much attention.

if you dont have a map for 13psi of boost without the vtec and it runs lean what does that cause? it causes a lot of heat, what does a lot of heat cause? a lot of detonation, what does detonation cause, a dead pistons. there was absolutely NO tune without the vtec in my car because it had working vtec when we tuned it

my gsr made 302whp for 65k miles.. starting at 117k miles....absolutely stock.. ive seen a b16 make 500whp.. (multiple track passes at that power level and runs) when not on race gas it made over 400whp...and had tons of abuse on it.... they're stronger than you think... its ALL IN THE TUNE

that video was done over a year ago. it's a stock motor, anyone who thinks it's not can put some money up come to clm and they will tear it down... not sure why it's so hard to believe. Car went 10.3 @ 137 the way it sits. With the built motor and dog box, car went 8.8 @ 169 4 years ago.

i honestly dont know, i asked the same thing and someone just told me that gsr's were stronger than i thought... yet mine was only 320whp (and professionally tuned) and it blew up after a while, i can see maybe stock sleeves doing 500hp but pistons and rods i have no clue how those are doing...
What was this guy thinking? Racing a car that has 400 more hp and probably quite a bit more torque. Not to mention his setup is messed up. See how long it took for that turbo to spool up? Smaller turbo my friend.

my gsr bone stock made 320whp @11psi.. lasted about 6 months with a pro tune with chrome pro.. then again i suspect that one of my local gas stations has shit gas so thats why mine blew up.. cause when mine blew up all 4 pistons cracked at once

WTF? should be boost much earlier, leave it in a high gear and let the power do work. he drives it like its NA. So weird. you lose valve spring pressure per psi of boost you run, meaning that a stock gsr will hit its rev limit at like 8500 but he will probably start floating valves sooner since its a stock motor, he's probably just trying to make it last

Hard to tell without knowing what size turbo he threw on there...a lot of Honda guys like the T-25's but it wouldn't make any sense for this car since the T-25's spool up quick and lose out on the top end. Also the GSRs should be topping out at about 9k Rpm. But yeah looking at 0:18 that looks like a pretty big turbo; def not a t-25

i'm a s13 owner but an eg6 hatch with proper suspension setup and boost hell even all motor ls vtech/jdm single cam and b series/kseries can fuck up alot of cars so to all the those non enthusiast haters out their stfu. i respect all builds but calling any build pos is ignorant if anything the porshe which ive seen get beatin by civic/240's should be ashamed. this video is gay though they need to retitle this to pulls

Shawn look at ETS integra its the 900hp turbo b18 with stock trans when he started to build it he had full interior plus look at big daddy's db8 its a 4 door integra 7-800 HP with interior to be honest interior or not a fast car is a fast car but I bet you that civic is still cheaper an still decently reliable compare to that Porsche

btw found out why my motor blew, found one of my vtec wires melted in half for the solenoid and i didnt make a map for it without vtec so it ran lean+boost=dead motor
