Nice video and very thoughtful reasonable guest ...Early church father's are very important to protestants as they wanted to go to the source ad fontes. The teaching authority of the church too is very important . A protestant will accept all four boundaries but will not ascribe infallibility to authorities outside scripture .
For example the dogma of the assumption of Mary is not present in any of the early church father's for centuries . Thus a protestant will not accept this doctrine which are absent in scriptures and the early church fathers. Such a belief cannot be a dogma that is essential for salvation and must be believed by all. Here we would refuse to accept the teaching of the catholic magisterium on the issue as being infallible .
