The other thing I wanted to ask is how do you go about removing a stuck agitator plate on these machines ? One like you are working on here, that would be very helpful to know. Thanks
Thank you for thos video. I followed the directions and replaced the sensor myself. I did not lift the control panel because my part was easy to reach without that step. Thanks
You made it look so easy. It really was. I have one issue... the tab on the lid won't fit into the sensor. I but the one it came with on and it still didn't fit. It lines up perfectly but Lid won't close. I'm hoping it does after I plug it back in. Thanks for the video it helped me a lot.
I have purchased a lot of lid locks that arrive in the locked position and will not unlock even when plugged in. I have to take the plastic cover off and push the bar the goes in the solenoid to unlatch it. Then snap the cover back on. It happens so often that I usually check them when they arrive. Once you do that it works perfectly. Thanks for watching!
Great video. I think I am having this problem… it tries to go to rinse cycle but won’t and keeps clicking and the lid won’t lock. Not sure if it’s the latch itself attached to the lid or the actually lid lock?
My BIL gave me a washer he had sitting in a shed. It was working fine until it needed to spin the clothes out. When the lid went to lock, I guess is what it was doing, it just kept clicking. Nothing looks to be wrong. Any advice? 😩
You can take your model number and use ((model number) door switch) as a search string. If you want to find it locally get the manufacturer’s part number from your search and take it to the appliance parts store in your area.

What would be helpful is a vid showing how to test the switch and motor solenoid on the locking mechanism with a multimeter.
I will see about doing that. Thanks for the video idea!
