- Just a quick video going over the window sticker for my 2018 Ford Raptor by request. I also go over a few of my opinions on financing as well as dealer markup and how to spot it. If you have any questions or want to share your experience buying one of these trucks please leave a comment. I'd love to read them and I'll answer any questions I can. Thanks for watching.

Just bought my '18 for $2k under MSRP sticker from a small town in the northeast. Be patient as the deals are out there, and great video Joey. Really like your informative reviews and down to earth opinions. Keep the videos coming!
Steven P whaaaaat? 2k under??? AWESOME. thx for watching
Picked mine up for 54, fully loaded with 87k, best deal I could find with the color I wanted at the time. I couldn't wait any longer and look around lol
You’re so nice 👍 I had a lot mistakes to get my new truck. I’m driving a F-150, when I’m really was interesting on F-250 FX4. Your muscle truck is awesome !!!
Hey man, thanks for watching, really. I appreciate it! I wish California dealers would stop marking their vehicles up like that. It's not fair to you guys. Take care man :D
Thank you for all of your great insights! Very much appreciated.
Hope it helps. Have any questions just let me know :)
Appreciate you sharing your knowledge about this. I’m currently shopping for a raptor myself and some of these dealerships are straight up robbing people on these raptors.
No problem. Let me know if you need help finding a dealership that wont do a markup. I can try to help :D
The Window Sticker Generator is nice. Good to see that mine was right on.$69545.00. Got the same truck you did w/o the carbon Fiber Package in Black,
Awsome awsome info. Much needed. Am looking to buy after 20 years. Thanks..
awesome dude. what color?
Never ever pay MSRP on any vehicle. Besides the markup keep in mind that the dealer also gets dealer hold back from Ford. Ford pays the dealership for selling the vehicle. Never negotiate from MSRP down. You start with dealer cost and negotiate up to MSRP minus hold back.
If you pay 10 to 12% below MSRP you are getting an ok deal IMO.
Great vid, thanks.
ive heard people say they got under MSRP on Raptors but theyre few and far between. If I'd bought a Limited I know I could have gotten it for way under MRSP. Unfortunately demand of these trucks (in some areas at least) doesnt give you any room to bargain. If I didnt buy mine at sticker someone would have come down and bought it that day for sticker. Its sad but thats the game on odd model vehicles.
Very good advice. Thanks for sharing and great work with your videos.
thx for watching man. much appreciated. glad to help.
You make a great point concerning finance, if more folks like you were out there we wouldn't have so many people making bad decisions when it comes to finance at times all it takes is knowledge thanks for the details bro.
i made mistakes when i was a lot younger. thankfully i learned. i just hope i can help people dodge mistakes and save themselves some trouble. Thx for watching :D
Subscribed off of the love for animals, I will make it a point to contribute. Your videos are also very informative to watch, for the last two weeks this is all I do, smoke and watch 2018 raptor videos, hopefully in a few days, Ill be sitting in one.
hey bud thx. I actually sold that raptor a couple of years ago but actually picked up another 2018 3 weeks ago to get back into a truck. hopefully i'll get some new vids coming. if you have any questions let me know, i try to respond when i can. grats in advance on ur truck :D
@@BigGuyBiggerTruck
Awesome I will make sure to hit the alerts on your page so I can check the videos. I should be in mine tommorow or Thursday hopefully!
This is such a great video! Keep it up man
Thanks for taking the time to watch. Much appreciated :D
Middle Aged Mediocre Gaming Do you think there is any way of talking the dealer down on price even the slightest? Or is that a no-go for raptors? Thanks!
Andrew Bradley honestly your best chance at that is going to be buying a 2017. Even that's going to be a stretch. I doubt you'll find a dealership selling 18s at anything less than MSRP. I've seen people saying they got an 17 for invoice but that's going to be extremely rare and get harder to fiind as 17 inventory thins out. Never hurts to ask though. Worst they'll say is no lol. Thanks for watching.
Waiting on mine to come in. Can't wait!
How long ago did you order? Think it barely took 3 months from start to finish for mine. Grats!
We'll I put the order in in May, and finally got a 10-23 build date. I'm in a small town so the local dealership doesn't get those types of vehicles due to there size. They said 6-8 weeks so hopefully sometime mid December
the waaaaaaiting, is the hardest part. -tom petty. lol
Solid information. Thank you.
hope it helped. Thx for watching.
Great video! I will say that I find the B&O to be considerably better sounding than the Sony though I've heard others say similar to you.
yeah i've heard the same. some people swear its hands down a better sound. some people just have a better ear and i'm hardly an audiophile.
Thank you so much ! Very helpful info!
Joey Fallacaro glad to help man
Excellent video
Great Videos !
Waiting for my 2018 F150 Platinum to come in...Dealer said it has a serial number...(aka heartbeat) so hope it comes in soon
nice man. buddy at work has one and loves it. the wait is the worst part dude :(
Hey! What are your thoughts about buying a used one? I know these trucks tend to keep their value for the most part but I’ve seen some low mileage 2017 in the 50s.
thank you for this....went to dealership Marina Ford in Los Angeles....mark up was $24,000 put the truck at $93,000! Didn't buy but I wish I saw this first....I felt foolish...didnt know this was a thing
Just bought one, initially wanted a 10k market adjust. I told them sticker and we have a deal, two days later I had raptor at sticker.
yeah i think that whole markup thing may be running out of runway. good job sticking to your guns. When i was looking for mine i had a few dealerships trying to get 5-10k and saying "oh no one will sell you one at sticker". annnnnd then i found one that did :P
Great info and good financial advice
WARNING: I am not a licensed financial advisor. Proceed with caution.
lol thx for watching man, much appreciated.
Good information
You can actually go to ford.com, search raptor inventory and get the window stickers from them. Great video by the way.
Witam. Pozdrowienia z Polski. RAPTOR jest SUPER!
The guys that post the price at MSRP are usually going to tell you they do t sell it for that price when you get there. But of course you should be able to get them down, and then go to another dealer and play them off each other until you get closer to MSRP. Just gotta be able to walk away a couple times.
Yeah there was a dealership 30 min away that had one (a 2017 tho) that was a special order that was canceled. They wanted a 5k markup. Seems like a tough ask for a truck built to spec by someone else. They said you wont find one at sticker around here, then i did lol.
I was suppouse to get my truck from idaho, i ended up finding a dealer in San diego CA Poway Ford with a 4k mark up ,check them out if you arw looking to buy one in Cali with a very low mark up I've called a lot of dealers nobody could beat that
There charge for VIN search. You should add that detail in the video.
I love selling these, even as a salesman, I make so much over the other vehicles I sell. Resale is better than average, MMR seems to hold up. The 802-a has a huge mark up so we make way more on these than you think.
is that due to the markup or just the higher dealer holdback?
Question: do you have any info on the length of both the SCREW and SCAB. I had link, but lost it. I think the SCAB was 220inches...can't remember what the SCREW is.
SCAB = 220.0 in.
SCREW = 231.9 in.
I ordered '18 Raptor SuperCab 800A (bone stock) for MSRP and got them to give some holdback money on the options (like $500). Still feel taken (my XLT was 36k OTD!), but maybe that goes away when my truck gets here!
Well, think about it this way. If you decide you cant stand it in 6 months or a year you can probably sell it for what you paid for it. :D Thanks for watching!
waiting the raptor......
I appreciate the video and info on the truck! I’m thinking of buying one beginning of next year.I’m from Ohio and the prices here are roughly 69k to 73k -802A package. My concern is how does a handle on the road. I’ve been hearing that it’s got a lot of body roll .What are your thoughts on how it handles and especially with the bead lock rims. Thank you
george 69 , Same here, looking to get one later this year. I’ve heard it both ways on road comfort, but more positive than negative. Seems like most of the negative is from people that appear to have money and are used to higher end vehicles. Have to keep in mind what a raptor is and what’s it’s made for, it’s not gonna feel like a Mercedes.
I've been looking for a 2018 with the assumption the adaptive cruise control has stop-and-go like the regular 2018 F-150s can optionally have. Can you verify that the 18s will stop when doing cruise and go again if under a three second stop. Thanks!
Everything I can find says that it is not enabled on the 2018's so the ACC is the same as the 2017's. The other higher trim level f150's have stop and go but the Raptor does NOT. That could be something changed with a software update in the future I would imagine since its the same ACC system. Dont know if it would require some sort of radar calibration from the dealership or not though. Thanks for watching! (Also, I wouldnt trust that feature as far as I can throw it)
Your Raptor is only $122 a month more then my 502a '17 Lariat (My payment is $846 monthly) same term limit. I put $8k cash down payment. Damn Raptors cost $100k here in NorCal. I literally bought my truck about the same time you did. :) Good video man, Lots of solid information here.
Dude, I seriously get angry about the raw deal you guys get on the west coast. I've cursed out more than one dealership before i found mine. Thanks for watching. I really hope I can help people make a decent informed decision about these (or any other f150) trucks.
Yup over 20 grand in Alaska, but yup i wish we didnt have to go by FICO for loans. The banks profit on your score as well.
I got a good deal because I got more for my trade-in than what I could have sold it for retail.
How, it was the last day of the month and they needed one more sale.
It was a 2014 F150 Supercrew FX4 with only 52,xxx miles on it with luxury package.
They offered me $31,500 and trade-in was around $25,500 and retail was $29,500 so I had to go for it and purchased a 2019 Raptor Supercrew.
My 2014 MRSP was 49,xxx but I purchased it for 38,xxx.
MSRP was checked and correct so I actually got a great deal.
They still made money but I'm happy.
last couple of days of the month is seriously a golden time to buy. especially in december. grats man, killer deal.
Nice....thanks for this
hey i hope it helps in some way. thx for watching
tlh235 I
Thanks for the info. I’m looking to buy a vehicle. Honda Accord or Jeep unlimited. Honda will prolly fit my budget. That truck looks nice.
You honestly cant go wrong with an Accord. Theyve been good/popular cars since I was a kid. Thanks for watching :)
That is insane. You are totally right. I have been to a couple local dealerships in Washington lately because I’m looking at purchasing a raptor and most of them have a markup of at least $18k. Highway robbery.
That's absolutely outrageous.
I love the lead foot grey paint that you got. I’ve been looking at getting the same color but I’m afraid of it showing scratches easily. What has your experience been with it so far?
I havent had any scratches that I know of yet. I'm planning to probably vinyl wrap it in the near future though.
this guys are selling at MSRP www.muzimotors.com/
thanks for the information and all the videos you've been posting about the Raptor Your Right do your research before buying this truck unless you have a lot of money and don't care Lol , I just ordered 2018 Lead Foot last month put 1,000 deposit MSRP $71,045 Plus 5k mark up Lol i live in California ive been searching for about 8 months nobody in California can match that price SMH , And my 1,000 deposit is not refundable unless we don't come to an agreement at the end of the deal , And this Dealer is in Idaho Corwin Ford Nampa , im still trying to find a closer dealer around me so i don't have to Fly over there and Drive it back .
I bought mine for sticker last September from a dealer 3 hours away and they delivered it for free
THATS service. grats man, great job.
Joey - I am willing to travel, never thought about shipping my trade-ins?? I had no idea that was possible. So first and foremost, I thought about looking in places like Idaho falls, or Boise, or somewhere just more remote than Southern California (I live in Orange County... and thank you for feeling sorry for us as our dealer markup could be as high as $22,000 on raptors). What is your suggestion on where I should look first for a 2018 raptor. I currently drive a Ford F150 Lariat 2017. Do you have a Facebook for him? Or is there a way I can private message you?
message me here on youtube and i'll get you his info. he'll work with you.
How much
Thanks for the infos m8. I'm in the market for a preowned one. I do not live in the US so I'm not quite familiar with all the taxes. if I were to buy the one @12:13 assuming no hidden fees, what would be the taxes on this? do you have any infos? TIA
Taxes will vary by location. Where are you looking to buy one? I'm in Tennessee and the tax rate would be about 7% of the total. So for that one I'd be looking at 70,800 + 4950 (roughly) in taxes. In the US the tax on cars varies from state to state. Some states actually dont even charge tax on vehicles. If you have a trade in that can change the taxes as well. Let me know if I can help you figure anything out. Thanks for watching :]
haven't find it yet. I have to buy the car and have it shipped overseas so I don't really mind to pay a few extra $ of delivery to the shipping company so doesn't really matter which state. No trade no finance involved. I think I have enough infos I just need to find the right one on cars.com. keep up the good work (y)
No problem man. If you find one around Memphis, TN and want me to go look at it in person let me know. I dont mind helping.
hi m8 do you know why when I try to lookup the window sticker, on some VIN it says "the window sticker has not been released for this vehicle" on a used car? or sometimes like access to this has been redistricted on this car..call you dealer blahblah
thanks
i noticed that but i dont know why it happens. if you find one at a dealership let me know and I can call and see if they'll email me the window sticker and forward it.
Hey big guy 👍found one near me 5k over for locals and 10k for out of towners .7 1/2% sales tax :(
Registration over $900 per year n higher if you tow with it.
Very crazy California
larry baker mark ups should be criminal man
Hey man great info here, im in Atlanta ga what you think about five star ford in Stone Mountain ga they have a 2018 raptor leadfoot at 71,969.
researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/FordSticker.html?title=1FTFW1RG8JFA03659 Thats the window sticker for it. They've got it priced $73,365 on their website ($1400 markup) but at such a small mark up they may be willing to negotiate. The other lead foot one they have is 70,050 sticker/dealer price so it doesnt have any markup. Both are 802A but the 70k one doesnt have carbon fiber (biggest option difference i see). Dunno if the 73k one has an after the fact option that was added to increase the price or what. Worth calling though if youre looking for one. As much as I'm against dealer markup's $1400 wont make much difference (maybe 15-20 a month on your payment) but I'd try to talk them out of it. I'd ask for no mark up just because they ordered them with graphics packages :p
Thx for watching and commenting. Anything I can help with let me know!
Middle Aged Mediocre Gaming
Well I talk to them they willing to do sticker price after I mention that I don’t want the stickers, and they paying me pretty good on my trade in I think, thanks for ur info very helpful
AWESOME! good to hear. they sound like a decent dealership. Grats man.
Thanks man!
Yea I was going to get a raptor but you can't touch one in ca under 80,000 iv seen then at 90,000 soooo I got the next best thing still 62,000 lol 2017 xlt with tons of extras
There are some around the country that are MSRP. It'll require a drive/plane ticket but it'll be cheaper than a 5k+ markup sadly.
www.shoptates.com/new/Ford/2018-Ford-F-150-8027ef8a0a0e0aea5282132b069c6772.htm 68k lead foot. theyre out there. just gotta look for them and possibly travel.
Like the video
I’m in San Diego, the mark up on these things is insane! They trying to sell em for 90k.
Pedro Rodriguez I hear that a lot. If you're willing to travel you can find them out this way for sticker. My sales guy has a 5k markup but said he'd probably be able to sell for sticker to anyone I send his way.
Nice vid! I actually got my 2018 new Raptor at $7000 off msrp. I'm pretty sure that's the "record" ;0)
that sounds like a paperwork error or someone knows someone :P grats either way lol.
Middle Aged Mediocre Gaming It was in NC and I'm in GA so didn't know them lol... it was supposedly an internet website price mistake, but I confirmed through email several times. They said they'd keep their word... and they did! I was lucky, no doubt. Thx!
senseibrewster blown away that they would honor that. Grats!
I swear i did not think you would have such good information to talk some sense into people that finance $70k vehicles with 0 money down and 0 trade. I'm holding onto my carrots until I can pay what I want for something like this. In the meantime the savings can go to traveling because as you said it "these vehicles will be around tomorrow".
Hey thanks for watching! I was worried people would think I was crazy when I talked about not putting a bunch of $ down on these trucks. Vehicles arent investments so to me putting large sums of money into them is a waste and potentially going to result in losing some or all of that "investment". If you have 30-40k to put down on a vehicle why not just invest that $ in something that yields a return? At least then you're still liquid 30-40k and can use it when needed. If putting 30-40k down on a 70k truck saves you $400-500 a month on a payment it's going take 80-100 months to recoup that down payment. I'd just personally rather have 30-40k laying around than spend the entire life of the car loan and then some getting that $ back.
Good on you for waiting til it makes better sense to take this kinda purchase on. Smart decisions like that just make life easier. Thanks again and take care :)
explain how you paid taxes only for the difference? was your jeep paid in full?
Shawn J most states only require that you pay taxes on the difference in value of the car you're buying and the car you're trading in. Truck was about 70k jeep was valued at about 33k so I paid taxes on the difference of around 37k. If you sell the car yourself you pay tax on the full value. That's why if you sell your car on you're own you generally have to get a few thousand more than you would in trade to make up the difference in just trading it in. Hope that helps.
Middle Aged Mediocre Gaming this stays true for someone who still has a lean?
i have a 2017 maxima 25 to out out in full,
so if the dealer gives me say 26k
i am going to purchase say a platinum 60k
i should expect to pay tax on 34k? instead of 60k even though i have not paid my car in full?
Shawn J yep. It's based on the value, not what you owe.
I paid 2k(70k total)over sticker.. they gave me 26k for my 2013 xlt f150 though.. so I'm happy.
hey, thats a better deal than most get so i'd call it a win (sadly). grats man, enjoy!
Nice video man. I'm looking into trading in my 2016 STI for a raptor but I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay for the mark up. The lowest I found here in Cali is 10k markup but damn I want this truck !!
what all are you looking for on one? you might have to travel or have it shipped. worth it tho imo
I want the crew cab. Color doesn't really matter to me as I think they all look sick. My wife and I are growing the family for the first time so I'm looking into getting something bigger. I was torn between the raptor or the jeep srt but I'm leaning more towards the raptor. I was thinking about going out of state and buying it but I've never done that before so I will have to do more research.
cool. i'll dig around tomorrow and see what I can find. trucks a better call. safer, better gas mileage, more room. i had the jeep and it was cool but i wouldnt want it for a family vehicle.
my dealer looks like he has 7. Let me call my sales guy tomorrow and see if they stopped doing their 5k markup and if they'd sell/ship to cali. I'll let you know.
Thanks a lot man!! 👍👍
Ken Grody Ford in SoCal has at least a dozen 17 Raptors last time I checked. Wanna know why? $30,000 markup!!!!! Never do business with them, even on other vehicles. I’ve heard nothing but negative things about them just bending over customers to make a quick buck
I think I heard about those guys. I think they had 30+ at one point! Probably had to let them go for closer to MRSP or sell them to other dealers just to get rid of them. They deserve all the misery they get from them. Thanks for watching man.
I get my new F-150 xlt from them in Buena Park, CA for Raptors and F-350 they want over $12000.00 / $15000.00 down . I’m driving the truck I really don’t wanna ☹️ but they have a lot good truck’s on inventory 👍
How about if you all pay me to fly and get your Raptor and drive it to you?
Angela Guthrie hey where are you located and which dealer did you use? Trying to help someone find one.
Big Guy Bigger Truck I am in Bend Oregon and I am buying from Lamarque Ford with Luke Lemus. Not sure what their mark is now...but there were 2 others I found at MSRP. One in Michigan...
I put a deposit on one with the lowest mark-up I could find...then found more than one place that would sell to me at MSRP. One that was willing to go 500 UNDER.
DO NOT succumb to the mark ups...unless you can throw money like that. If that is the case...go find my gofundme and help me with mine!!
I am so happy that I got my deposit back...now I just have to get to NOLA in April and bring her home to the west side...where they are 5k-30k mark-ups.
have you looked into having the truck shipped to you? it may cost the same or even be cheaper.
6K under sticker on my ‘19 Raptor
ya? what was sticker?
Got 1000 off mine. (71K MSRP)
Man good job. Lot of people cant even get them at sticker much less under sticker lol!
I rather stick with my ss Impala no payments and takes around town and work
ok so dont buy one. thanks for watching!
Not a f'king truck made worth $70,000 !
thats a matter of personal opinion but i totally get it. The price is a little outrageous.
HAVE A SOOK MATE! $200K+[AUS] [802a] TO GET 1 OF THESE DOWN UNDER!!!!!!!
holy crap 200k? know anyone that wants to buy a lightly used one for 175k? :D
NOT OFF HAND. EVEN WITH ALL THE CONVERSIONS INVOLVED[ AU TO US $ / L/H TO R/H + SHIPPING] $200K+ IS A SHIP LOAD OF MONEY. I THOUGHT IT PRETTY FUNNY, FOR YOU GUYS TO BE QUIBBLING OVER A COUPLE OF $K. GUESS YOU DON'T KNOW HOW GOOD YOU'VE GOT IT! AS FOR BRAD, HE COULD TRY 4 WHEELING ON A SKATE BOARD[LOT CHEAPER] LOL, ET
a skateboard. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL dude.
It's just an ugly truck!!...you put that with the fact it comes with a v6 just makes this a very undesirable truck!
john crawford so undesirable that they're able to sell them with upwards of 20k markups. You're right. Literally no one is making you buy one. Thanks for watching though! Take care.
john crawford only person here that sounds like they have emotional issues with ford is you lol. I'm not a ford guy or chevy or dodge. I just like whatever I like. Thx for watching!
Big Guy Bigger Truck I understand that's how you see it and that's ok...
great! thx for watching!
john crawford - can I take you for a ride?
In The truck I truly can't afford...but it is pretty amazing...or maybe, you should take me for a ride since you have something prettier and better in mind.
I like to see a true difference of opinion. She is not "ugly" to me...sexy as sexy can be!!!
And I don't have it yet...April...
I have been waiting 8 years.
