    This seems like a great way to combine locs. I combined 4 to make 2 using 2 strand twists. It works but after 2 months i can still feel 2 independent locs. Interlocking at the root and end of the loc is genius!🎉

      Thanks! After this video, I re-twisted the combined locs again because they fell apart when i washed them.

    Try braiding the loose hairs into the loc, so it grows into it

    That may have happened because your hair grows awat from your locs. You may need to retwist more often. I know years later you figured it out but this is a warning to those whoes hair does not grow into the loc. This is a serious issue.

    Heya. Quick q .Do you reckon that because you are semi free forming the hair at the roots isn’t being retwisted into the loc which is causing it to grow away and make the loc be thin ? I’m interested to maybe semi free form but I’ve heard that leaving long periods of time between retwists can sometimes cause the hair to break/thin. I’m not sure. Thanks

    • @Jupiter88844
      @Jupiter88844 2 роки тому +9

      I semi freeform and I retwist every 3 months 4 months being my max my locs are doing fine

    • @solarsky3691
      @solarsky3691 2 роки тому +3

      Not everyone has the hair type to freeform. It's clear her hair grows away from the base. The thinning is literally right at the base.

    • @holisticflo
      @holisticflo  2 роки тому +5

      I think it depends on your hair type. For me, my roots grow away from my locs, specifically around the perimeter of my head. With all the rest of my locs, the hair is actually growing in thicker near my roots.
      This tends to differ from person to person

    How do you keep the locks at the front of your Head from coming in front of your face. How do you locks stay out of your eyes when your locks are still forming

    • @holisticflo
      @holisticflo  2 роки тому +2

      My locs still sometimes fall in my face, especially when I’m eating. You can train your locs to fall a certain way by tucking your hair in the way that you want to lay when you wrap it at night. For example, if you want your locs to lay away from your face throughout the day, at night push them backwards then put your scarf/bonnet on so it stays that way throughout the night

    Ur locs looks great but how did u get thinner locs in some spots if ur not retwisting

    • @solarsky3691
      @solarsky3691 2 роки тому

      Her hair is thinning because she isn't retwisting🙄. Some people have to retwist because their hair grows away from the root/base. Not everyone has the hair type to freeform. Also I'm not condoning over twisting.

    • @holisticflo
      @holisticflo  2 роки тому +7

      My hair has always been thin around the perimeter, especially near the temples. For all of my other locs, they are thicker near the roots of my hair because not re-twisting allows the hair to grow thicker

  • @knattydej
    @knattydej 2 роки тому

    The twist isn’t going to loc because the hair isnt loose. Itll start growing locd together but that pattern is gonna be there forever
