I'v had a squatters move into a house that we were renting out. Sheriff's told us we had to go to court evict them. I remembered it was my house so I put a gun on my hip and moved in them. They called the cops and they said I have a Second Amendment right to carry the gun on my property. Three days later they moved out. Problem solved

We had squatters in a home we had in Washington state, we called the police and they said they could do nothing. It was unreal. They never rented the home from us. Our home was vacant and they just moved in. Unreal! My friend had to sell his home to get the squatters out of his home.

How to stop a squatter from entering your house. This is really easy everyone should do it no matter how laws are this will work. If the house is vacant/ or even if you live there. Get a Monitored security system. When the Squatter or individual enthers your Home
They'll get arrested for trespassing.. End of the story.

A person who is merely occupying property which he/she does not own, has no legal right to be in that property, and who is NOT paying rent, and who has no intention to pay rent for lengthy periods of time, should be considered as the criminal(s). These squatters are "stealing" the value from the property owned by someone else. This is totally outrageous that this is allowed. These people ARE NOT TENANTS, and thus, in my opinion, have NO RIGHTS to protect. If they are forced to leave the property, it's probable that they will return. My son and I own a home that we occupy, we pay the mortgage on that home, and I will defend my family, my home and myself. I am not a violent person and have no wish to hurt anyone, but our house is the first one EVER built on the two-acre parcel, we've been here for almost 24 years. I know I have the right and obligation to defend my family, my home and myself, and I will do so.

Should be a felony. I had a couple of rentals in the early 90's. Had scary inactions with a few renters. After being chased around an Apartment by a meth head who had a pair scissors...nope and nope...not worth it.

If I sat in the back of someone's vehicle and when the owner said get out, and I replied with "I have been in her e for 24 hours so now I have rights and you need to go to court to get me out", that would be laughed at and never even make it into court, So if that would never become something allowed, then explain to me how squatting got into court?
I just described squatting with a vehicle and it's a situation that would ever have any basis for even getting it into court to begin with yet somehow it was never laughed at when someone did it with breaking and entering and trespassing.

It's appalling that there's such a thing as "squatter's rights" in a modern society. If this country was governed by law, squatter's rights would cease to exist. No state, county, or municipal courts or officials would be allowed to refuse to eject "squatters", if they did they'd face heavy fines personally to compensate the property owner. Squatters would be charged with burglary with mandatory five years incarceration. They could then squat in prison. In the case of the care giver it would be life plus 99 for kidnapping.
