I appreciate this video I started a lawn care business late last year I was just going to cut a few yards to pay for my avenger and started with 12 customers this year. Now I’m servicing 55-60 customers while still working a full time job. It’s definitely a sacrifice. I definitely enjoyed how you broke down each mower and transmission. Appreciate your honesty, especially dealing multiple brands of mowers and taking the time to listen and ask those so important questions pertaining to what that potential customer needs. I started an auto repair shop in a little town of 1200 with a 3bay, later to be, a 7bay shop with eventually 5 employees. Worked too the bone through unforsaken hours for 33 years until I ended up with a multiple level back fusion. During those years I took the time, as you did, to learn my customers, what they could afford, etc. for the proper repairs, along with the quality of parts I used. I always, it seemed, taking the time to give at least 3 estimates for each of the jobs. Yes, you are right. God helped me through those times and at times I had customer's say I was next to God. You, my man, keep doing what you are doing and your rewards will be plentiful, along with your employees. Speaking of which, always appreciate them. Without them, you wouldn't be where you are today. When you are ahead, give them a little extra bonus, buy pizza once in awhile and show them your appreciation. That's God's way! Amen.

Last year the "single" hydro tank started leaking. I made a bracket and installed 2 of the smaller single tanks. Early this summer replaced soft hoses. Only have 130+ hrs on the machine and I've never regretted spending the $5200 on it back in 2010. I only cut once every 3 weeks at the most. Keeps my hours down. Damn be the grass. @@kgmowers Hey Kevin Steve here again as I'm one who keeps researching thinks I'm going to buy with big ticket prices over and over till I feel the Lord says it time and usually it is but sometimes ole sin nature kick in and well I then go I know I should have waited but he lets us go there to learn he is one who knows best and will lead us to the best if we wait for Him and His timing. Which brings me to a new discover I am excited about though its a larger leap from where I started when I was looking at 2024 Maverick HD and then looked towards the 2024 Rebel and now have discovered the New 2024 Rogue comes with rear discharge which I'm really excited about.
As that ole Florida Bahia grass bunches up and really gets thick in low spots that may it ruff on a cutting and you have to really make sure you keep the blades sharpen almost every cut as when the blades don't have a good edge it twist and tears a lot as in low spots it hold the moisture making cutting it ruff as you have to make double runs as side chute may even clog or leave trails that you have to chop up more in two to three runs.
For rear discharge would really be a plus for this plus safer for where I cut next to a busy road that a side chute throws things it picks up due to the way I have to cut in these areas which throw back towards the road. Thankfully no strikes to passing vehicles that come up from behind me as if I see them coming I can stop till they pass. But wonder if you had any feedback on this mower yet to the pros and cons as I'm trying to also find a little better price as 11,729.00 is about 1500.00 more than what I budgeted for as looking to have to finance this Bad Boy that I'm looking at 3.99% for 60months to help lighten the hit on monthly payment as don't have any issues with credit which sometime I wish I did as I wouldn't be buying things that I probably really don't need but my CU loves to see me when I come looking for a loan but try to avoid financing all together as if the God Lord is willing and keeping me on His path and not mind I should be looking at debt free in about 5-6 years.
Except for this which I will knock out quickly if not during this time as the Lord is Good and unless the economy goes south then I should be good and if the hurricanes stay away as this will be number three for our area if Helene develops and head on the course it predicated to go. As Idalia and Debby hit us directly with just a little spread between the path each took. So if your reading this before Thursday which is when its to arrive and tomorrow being whether or not it will reach hurricane status of 2-3 in their estimates to path and strength over next two days.
So thanks and God bless and please let me know if you have any feedback on this Rogue RD as will have the FX1000 engine. Also just thought of another question as I'm assuming this measurement as can't find the actual deck width seeing how no info found as using the side chute for the 61" deck in the up position as the width measurement of 63.5" for the RD deck. Something that would be nice to know seeing how its a rear deck and there maybe a total different sizing all the way around. So off to bed as it's late and finishing up checklist of what I may need to get for the storm/hurricane tomorrow before it gets here Thursday. Oh...Congrats on your awards as God is Good!!! Keep seeking His will and direction as you can never go wrong as He knows and sees it all and knows what is best...Steve

@@cous261 I was feeling guilty after signing a contract on a luxury home where we do a lot of ministry work at in Nicaragua. I felt the Lord leading me, but then wasn’t sure if it was just something I wanted. A woman of God that I hadn’t talked to in years called the business and told me “not sure what your thinking of doing, but the Lord wanted me to remind you psalms 24:1. Sometimes we forget”.
As far as the rear discharge I haven’t put my hands on one. Typically if you add 1.5” to the deck you are good to go
I do sell a lot of the 72” and 104” hustler super z rear discharge to the solar farms here though.
I would recommend paying more and getting the 38.5hp efi kawasaki option (it’s new for this year) instead of the ole carb 35hp.
Also the way I was led to buy it and to justify the borrowing of money (which I hate doing) was that I simply found a yard to mow that I made sure was the exact same money as the mower payment. I know it sounds weird, but I bought a $14k mower after taxes owning a $25k house which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. My payment was over $300 a month (which was more than my truck payment).
The day after I bought it I picked up the cemetery right up the road from my house for $750 a week, then a few more yards after that. I had never mowed a yard for money in my life, and it was something I did for fun on the side on Saturday.
It made my 1 acre yard so much easier to mow.
The only negative with rear discharge is normally they don’t cut as well. Some mower companies use a 4th blade like grasshopper, or have one blade turning the opposite direction. I asked my rep and he said he has a few with the rear discharge rogue and love them.
I have sold some other brands rear discharge and a few weeks later they were trying to trade the deck for a side discharge. I recommend demoing a rear discharge on your yard, honestly any brand will give you the “feel” of a rear discharge cut before biting the bullet on full rear.
It’s good for people with allergies and stuff as they don’t kick up the dust as much. You may ask the dealer they are about to order all the 2025 spring mower order and will definately order a few demoes you may ask them to buy a demo, let you mow with it it, and if you like it you will just pay them for it and keep it. To make sure.
I would guess they would start getting their order around October or November they have to purchase 25% of what they bought all year before the end of the year so your mower will help in that order :).

Good video. Liberty Z 61” has a 3100 transaxle, and a 5 year warranty, which makes it tempting for my 3.5 acres. Seems like one of the best values at that price point if they will really honor that warranty? The problem with buying a used machine with higher grade transmission at the same price point is that you lose the warranty and you never really know how the unit was maintained and how much life is really left in the hydros. Even if a bit under spec’d a new unit with a good warranty is tempting and seems less risky in some ways.

If you dial in a deck for each yard any mower can cut better than the other. Personally here in our area I believe the vx deck cuts a hair better than the vx4 and has an edge over all of them. I believe both had the ZT5400 hydrogear in them for transmission with a 9” cooling fan…never had a problem on steep hills running up or down or better yet sideways etc. What I do not understand is they did not recommend synthetic oil in the ZT5400 transmission..just plain old regular oil? Actually where I buy my mowers that is what is in them from brand new. In the vanguard oil guard motor though they DO use full synthetic oil…Wondering why not in the ZT5400 transmission? I see Scag is finally getting the 40 hp oil guard system..does bad boy have that yet? Just wondering? Thank you! Just a note I also use a toro 72” ground master diesel at a park ..I agree it’s Nice to have a 72” deck to run under fence posts pine trees etc. with out brushing the mower against everything.
