    I started noticing bubbles in my urine for 2 weeks now EveryTime I urinate and when I saw the doctor they took a urine test and said the results are normal. What could be the problem? I’m concerned!

      Frothy Urine could mean two things.
      1. You havent had much water to drink
      2. You have too much protein in urine (proteinturea)
      I suggest you visit another doctor and get a second opinion.

      Stage 5 means kidneys have failed already or are failing. According to the National Kidney Foundation, the average life expectancy for this patient on dialysis is 5-10 years.

    I am 18 years old, and relatively healthy. Normal BP, and no diabetes. Egfr of above 120. However, I have been displaying protein in the urine for the last month in a half. This sounds like a silly question, but how long is it possible for someone to stay in stage one with proper treatement? Or is it possible to be as young as me and not eventually lead to dialysis with healthy living? I’m afraid that it’ll progress fast and I’ll be on dialysis at a young age, since I might have ckd at a young age. Thanks

    • @MinuteMedicine
      @MinuteMedicine  11 місяців тому

      I am not a doctor but what I know is that For an 18-year-old with protein in the urine and stage 1 chronic kidney disease (CKD), the progression of CKD can vary based on factors like the underlying cause and management. With proper treatment, lifestyle changes, and guidance from a healthcare provider, it's possible to slow or halt the progression of CKD. Regular check-ups and early detection are crucial for maintaining kidney health and potentially avoiding the need for dialysis in the future. Individual cases differ, so personalized advice from a healthcare provider is essential.

    Sir I have foam(or bubble) in urine since 1 month (few times a day not all time) but now I feel pain in legs from 2 days if I walk a little ,my age is 20 , weight 65kg.please tell me it's kidney disease or not.

    • @MinuteMedicine
      @MinuteMedicine  Рік тому

      I'm not a doctor, but I can offer you some general information that might help. Foam or bubbles in urine can be caused by various factors, including harmless ones like a forceful stream of urine hitting the water in the toilet bowl, or more serious ones like kidney problems.The presence of foam alone is not a definitive indicator of kidney disease, as it can also be influenced by diet, hydration levels, and urine flow. Pain in the legs when walking could be due to a variety of reasons, including muscle strain, overexertion, or circulation issues.
      However, since you're experiencing both foam in urine and leg pain, it's important to consult a healthcare professional. They will be able to perform the necessary tests and examinations to determine the cause of your symptoms. Kidney disease is just one possibility among many, and a doctor will be able to provide a proper diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment if necessary.

    You said.... Drink lots of water... But the Nephrologist says drink a liter of water so the pressure on the kidney is less..

    • @MinuteMedicine
      @MinuteMedicine  Рік тому

      Drinking too much water is rarely a problem for healthy , well nourished individuals. But less is more if you have kidney failure. When the kidneys fail, people don’t excrete enough water, so in these cases water intake must actually be greatly controlled.
