    shouldn't urine specific gravity be LOW as the kidneys fail to concentrate the urine related to low GFR?

      The short answer to a long answer is that GFR is filtration not concentration. When there isn't enough fluid being balanced by the kidneys the urine that does come out will be low on water. This in turn raises everything else by ratio. Specific gravity measures the solutes and because there is low fluid and high solutes, the specific gravity is elevated.

    I​ have​ seen a​ patient's blood test analysis results: UREA​= 500.3 mg/dl, Creatinine = 18.14 mg/dl.​ Very very hight! 😢
