Kensie: I eat PEOPLE!?
ME: YEP!
Kensie: what does people meat taste like.
Me: Chicken....duh!
Kensie: OH okay, I like Chicken! 🐔
I love this kid! lol
@bears_n_beans I made chicken tenders for dinner tonight.....
She took one bite, looked at me and smiled.....never said one word. But I busted out laughing!
If the only entrance is going to be from the pond, it would be cool to surround the settlement with planted trees so it looks "buried into the woods". Longlive Ulfheonar!
That's the plan!
You already have a great start with the location right on top of a huge clay deposit. Really good start on fortifying with clay brick. With a deposit that big it wouldn't be out of place to have eight or even ten kilns making bricks at a time, once you have enough settlers to dedicate one of them to the task. Usually I like the combo of brickmaking intellectual so they do research when the kilns are in action.
It's infuriating when you end up on a random seed that places the start location next to only small and isolated mineral deposits wirh major deposits either far away or non-existent.
I always start by putting some kind of flooring under my supplies to lessen the inevitable deterioration they go through from being exposed until I can get floors and roof up. You can lose a lot of your food supply early if that isn't done. Much higher priority than bedroom floors and roofs at least. The fresh meat needs many smokers to keep up with the quantity you produced. Much of it is going to rot long before a single smoker can deal with the pile.
Shrines and backgammon tables should be put down fast, preferably on day one. It's hard to maintain the morale of settlers on the hardest diff settings, so every little bit you can maintain is important. It's going to be difficult anyway what with the bad clothes, beds, and primitive living conditions.
Are you going to butcher settler corpses as well? Not sure if you wanted to include that in the butcher all command.
Yes, I added settler corpses to the butcher order. With max difficulty set, and everything tilted against us, every resources counts.
@@bears_n_beans That would be more reminiscent of the dire conditions during the Thirty Years War rather than right after the Black Death. After the Black Death there was an abundance of food, just not enough people left to harvest and process all of it.
"This is going to be as efficient as ****" he says, whilst hunting animals to rot, getting through day 3 without lesiure or beds.........
Caught me lol
Awesome, a new series!
Too bad that earthen works isn't a vanilla unlocked research. That might've been a good way to have an early village that would keep with the theme. Creating your own dens and burrows. Maybe a second layer to the walls could be dirt just to help defend against trebuchets. It'd be weak, but keep with the theme. Especially if you do can do wood merlons along the ground outside a dirt wall to have the wall lined with spikes on the ground.
I might've missed it, but the skeps will need a roof over them. Keeping them by the doors might upset your villagers as they can get stung, but it would also be another "beast" attacking the raiders.
If GB shows up, can he be the goat master?
GB = goats!
Maybe a dumb question, but are you using any mods? And if yes, from where? I dont want viruses on my already very old pc. Thx!
Mod free!
did they fix the insane lag after making it to almost end game build? this is why i put the game down until further updates.
There is still an fps drop at times if there is too much water, but a lot of improvements have been made
It is too bad there isnt a string or a code that we could just import into our games for the starting conditions you make up. I would like to try my hand at a play through with some of them.
Great episode !! Earned a sub. Keep it up !!
