I’ve been doing fades for years and have several military clients. To all, from beginners to veterans, The best advice is keep an open mind and be open to learning new ways of doing things. It keeps you sharp, happier, and truly keeps your career from burnout. Thanks so much for all work you put into this video.

I’ll be honest....it’s one thing to grasp these tutorials mentally and an entirely different thing to APPLY it in real time. I think I’m just going thru the beginner brain farts but I can tell you that several times I have found myself stuck during a cut(which is quite often right now) I have remembered some of your tips that have helped me push thru. Thanks so much brother✌🏼

Yeah, the price is definitely gone up because the amount of detail and services we are asked to do takes so much extra time if you were getting a regular haircut I would say that you should be paying around $30 if you’re getting a fade $40-$50 seems about right

Am luaghing and looking bsck man. 21:17 would of ask the dame thing. At the time i didnt know Jack. In my mind i thought fading was just making your hair bald on the side and having hair on top or using a gaurd number 4. Just a example. Biggest weakness i had was fading the beard. And fading overall i didnt understand. Even years later i seen thst i would go to a open 1 fully open. Go to a number 1 1/2 closed. Judt and ignore thid step and just go to balding the skin. And thats the problem i would tum to. Knowing what your steps. Its commen sense 1-2-3;4. But. This helps me alot from experience. Now i upgrsded tools and know more then i used to. Now when people i need to cut i gladly cut their hair. And ibalso learned skipping gaurds and not pushing the gusrd to deep. I can go on. But tbh. I learned by trail and error. Looking at Chris bossio videos. And 360 jeezy. And smaller youtubers. And personal your youtube channel feels like you got to be on lock to understand thid info. I hate but love videos like this. I allways love getting hsnds on and which you Will see what you do rihht from wrong. But i just wsnt to come back and thaank you for these types of videos. Ive cut my hair for 6 years self taught.snd took long since noone wa tef to get a haircut. And judt pass. Biggest thing am grest in is shaving with no probelm. I was shaky and nervous i would sweat. Not wsnting to cut people. Or mede then up. But as a grown up to a teenager/ adult. Nobody is perfect mistakes happen. And i like to say is whatever passion you have go for it. Got nothing to lose. I owe a 2020 expedition. Judt hard me work 21. Just wsnt to put some motivation.

Ugh. The masters are hands down the holy grail for clean, perfect, skin fades. Especially for a major contrast between skin tone & hair color or finer textured hair. BUT, as a female, it’s so taxing because they’re criminally heavy. I only reach for my masters if really necessary. My shoulder”s, yes shoulder, is destroyed after. Guys don’t use their shoulders as much cuz their forearms are stronger, I don’t have that option, also I’m short & am reaching up for many clients. But the Masters are an incredible clipper. They put them in your kit @ barber school, so👍.

Always fade/work from bottom to top. Never top to bottom. Reason: U have complete control over your fade. *Side note: do the hairline all the way around the head first, that way you can see your cut better overall. U could easily get discouraged struggling on a spot that just needs to be lined up..

I have been cutting hair on and off for a few years, I started messing around and learning while incarcerated actually and have been wanting to make it one of my career bucket list goals and master it for some time now. Finally getting blessed with an opportunity recently to work at a shop and be able to do the apprenticeship program for school along with it. It has been very stressful to say the least, because my boss who is supposed to teach me......well let's just say he's not the best teacher and me having to cut a high volume of clients from the gate has been hard(mostly military that want low, mid, and high fades). Having to basically learn and experience things on my own or watch and ask my coworkers for pointers and help taking away from there time to make money I had to turn to these videos for more guidance and help to really learn the process of fading especially with the multiple tools that were thrown at me.
This video has helped me more in 20 minutes than I have learned the last month ide say haha. Extremely grateful for this man im more confident and motivated than ever! and I can't wait to go to work thank you so much for this knowledge your the goat.
Best breakdown video on here hands down,do yourself a favor and go subscribe trust.

Great job on the video. I have been a barber for 34 years. And to tell you the truth. I just turn my machine on and just let it rip. Never knowing the difference between a fade blade or a taper blade. Thank you for explaining it in such great detail.

Is there any in person classes? I’m a licensed cosmetologist & I’ve always wanted to specialize in barber but the barber classes that they offer in my town don’t teach fades, they teach basics. And I would prefer one on one time!

You guys. Is it necessary to get your clippers modified? I have a terrible time blending from skin to no guard. I’m afraid to unscrew my blade and readjust in case I cut someone. Is it just practice practice practice?

Where do I get the brush you use throughout the fade.
I can’t seem to find one that wants to rip peoples scalps open. (Over exaggerating but you know what I mean!)

Theodor video is awesome ,but i have to tell you sir the clipper matters , I starter with an ermilo clipper and I could do a fade but it was never good enough it always let some shades or lines, doesnt matter how much i try not to. but with my wahl clipper it comes out perfect. with my ermilo clipper i am pretty sure the guards are not acurate. the clipper matters

That kids line up was crooked the right side is higher, and what caused that was you holding the trimmer at a slant, why would you do that? Lol everything else looks good.
