I've been watching your other videos and, as a black medical student, it's so motivating and refreshing seeing a black doctor, can't wait to watch more xxx
This is soooo interesting, i am currently in 2nd year med school and the studies is soo intense but these videos makes me motivated to see the light at the end of the tunnel( cause lately i havent been seeing any) haha. Thank you Dr
Daniel Danae hi Daniel, glad to hear you feel motivated watching these videos 😀. Med school is intense but I’m sure you’ll make it through! It does get better, I promise! Xx
Hi Dr Nosa. You really make GP training very interesting.. Like it seems so chilled. Your hands-on-skill is very commendable. So proud of you. Who knows, I might consider that myself. Thank you for the informative video. I missed you.
It makes me happy to watch videos like this because it re emphasises to me what all my hard work is for, To do a job I’m in love with! This reminded me so much of my work experience in a GP which really inspired me - I definitely want to persue a career in GP at the moment, maybe with specialist interest. Thank you for this !
Love the video doctor! Thank you for explaining your thought process and teaching the differentials that you go through for everything, very informative! Keep up the great work :)
I love your videos. Currently in my 5th year in medical school.still don’t know what field of medicine to be in but you make gp enjoyable. Thank you so much. Please keep it up
Nice Vlog Dr Nosa, I'm currently doing my final year in South Africa and would love to be in London after my Internship...it seems like a nice place, with peace❤❤🙌
Yes GPs can do things such as joint injections and aspirations, vasectomies, cryotherapy, toenail removal, placement and removal of contraceptive implants and coils, excision of skin lesions, and drainage of abscesses. They may very occasionally take blood but this is rare as usually healthcare assistants or phlebotomists do it just to save the doctor time
Interesting rotations ! Aren't you going to do Paediatrics /O and G /Internal Medicine rotations or are these intertwined with the above listed rotations?
Hi Dr Nosa, I’m a 5th year Medical student in a medical school in europe(I’ll be an IMG). I’m interested in becoming a GP and I know I’ll need to write PLAB 1&2 but I’ll like to know if I’ll have to do the Fy 1& 2( I have less that 12 months experience) before the 3 years of GP training.
5 years medical school (4 if graduate, 6 in some universities) Then 2 years foundation years Then 3 years GP specialty training So for a typical undergraduate, minimum 10 years
100%. We call that less than full time training if you do this while you’re a GP in training or if you’re a full qualified GP then you’re just part time and spend the other half teaching. You will have to organise that teaching yourself though in most cases.
Where have all the GPs gone? They hide away from a populace who needs help more than ever but they still do not have face to face consultations. They leave it to the practice nurses. They disgust me with their attitude. By the way I had Covid. My test was carried out by the Army and was probably processed by a private lab like the one my niece works for. No NHS input, no government help for loss of earnings.

Very informative video. Love it ✨

I am very excited to do GP in near future....can u please tell me the different clinical rotations that a registrar must do?
I love your videos, what do camera do you use for vlogging? Xx
Dili Stephanie Mbanaso thanks Stephanie! In this video, I used my iPhone 📱 xxx
Hey, such an inspiring video! which London GP rotation area did you train in, and which area are you based in now? xx
Thank you for your video! Do GPs also engage in hands-on procedural work, or is it mainly clinical history and physical exams?
Yes GPs can do things such as joint injections and aspirations, vasectomies, cryotherapy, toenail removal, placement and removal of contraceptive implants and coils, excision of skin lesions, and drainage of abscesses.
They may very occasionally take blood but this is rare as usually healthcare assistants or phlebotomists do it just to save the doctor time
Do a video on how to access good weaves/ wigs/work clothes in London/UK?
Your second suggestion I’ve seen, thank you!
Interesting rotations !
Aren't you going to do Paediatrics /O and G /Internal Medicine rotations or are these intertwined with the above listed rotations?
Interesting video Nossa! Do you have any suggestion for audits or qualifications that can pull you up in the list of being a GP trainee in London?
Audits don’t give you extra points when it comes to the GP application. It’s all about your score in the MSRA exam and interview xxx
I will literally have watched first... but getting notified after 4hours😭...
haha its' fine, happy you're here either way xx
I love your video sooo much, pls give us more vlogs we're your UA-cam 😂
I also want videos with your hubby😄
Haha maybe one day my hubby will do a video with me 😁
Hi.
Thanks for this nice video you've made.
I have a question please . ""Is the 10 minites per patient thing"" true ?
Yes. Some practices do 15 minutes including admin time, but that's the max. Most practices give 10 minutes
@bethanymcdermott3954 thanks for your response
I love your content
Hi Nice girl .Congratulations for space of ur own.keep it up. Best wishes always.
Sonu Khokhar thank you so much sonu 💕
Hey, i'm f2 thinking about GP next year and also want to be in london. Can i just ask how competitive /hard it was to get london for GP ?
It is competitive but definitely doable! My guess is you would need to do at least just above average to get London xxx

Great! Thank you, go for it, sure you’ll do great
Where are you?
Nice vid & Love your channel
thank you so much chris!
Hi.. how many years does it take to becone a gp registered in uk??
5 years medical school (4 if graduate, 6 in some universities)
Then 2 years foundation years
Then 3 years GP specialty training
So for a typical undergraduate, minimum 10 years
Is is possible for doctor who is general practitioner , to work only for 2 to 3 days a week ? And in rest of the days they can do teaching etc ?
100%. We call that less than full time training if you do this while you’re a GP in training or if you’re a full qualified GP then you’re just part time and spend the other half teaching. You will have to organise that teaching yourself though in most cases.
How many hours do you need to study in home when you are in medical school?
Depends on you! I personally didn’t study everyday but I know a lot of people who did.
I want to be a GP ☺️
Fine nosa
