INSANE Exhaust And ECU Upgrade! Modifying My Ferrari

- After nearly 3 years of searching, I have finally found, purchased and had an official Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale exhaust fitted to my 360 Modena! The results are simply outrageous.
In addition to the incredible new soundtrack, the team at AV Engineering have gone a step further to improve my car. They have been working closely with 360Trev, whose car I drove at the end of last year, to extract and manipulate Ferrari ECUs. They have applied a custom upgrade to my car which positions it somewhere between a Challenge Stradale and an actual Challenge race car in terms of drive-ability. Power is also up around 30-40hp!
All in all the car feels completely different and in my mind, is pretty much the perfect 360 Modena.
I cannot continue to recommend AV Engineering highly enough. The work they have done to my car over the last 2 years has made it one of the best examples in the world:

Another excellent video Sam, I felt like I was in the passenger seat with you ;) So very glad to have helped to breath some fairy dust on this car, epic sound and the way all of them should have come out of the factory IMHO. As for the weight difference, well you have carbon seats and sports exhaust now so that's already a significant portion of the CS weight saved right there. Just need to ditch those old school brakes now :)

YES! We're a very similar age, we share the same dream in the CS. I've wanted a 360 since they came out in the same combination you have - Rosso Corsa, tan leather, manual. Thank you for sharing this journey, it's allowing me to live vicariously through you and has reignited the drive for the dream!
Only criticism for this video is the background music during the drive and accelerations. With an exhaust like that there is absolutely no need for any background music when you're driving, especially that first pull! But it sounds amazing! Congratulations Sam

This is the best 360 in the world. CS sound, Modena ride, Manual, Daytona seats, Duo Tone leather... Perfection!
I have a 996 GT3 and the ride is way too harsh for the road. I imagine a CS will behave in the same way. Your car is where it's at for the road!!!
Nice to see a youtuber modified their car like this, and not make it as loud as humanly possible. Sounds better, but without losing the 360 charm. Nice work.

He put cs wheels on it one time at av engineering. He decided not buy any, because it doesn't look right, they don't sit in the arches the same as they do in the cs.
It would look amazing with no arch gap and the wheels inline with the bodywork. lowered with spacers.

430 wheels really look good on the 360
That’s not original though. Reminds me of putting 997 wheels on a 996, it just doesn’t look right.

It really is a special experience when you take these kind of engines and finesse the last five or so percent of fine tuning out of them that the factory isn't able to do due to the constraints of mass production and regulations.
It takes money, time, and patience but that last five percent is where the real rewards lie!

And that ECU upgrade you have done wow i didn't think anything like that would suite a car like the 360 but how responsive she now is, is crazy all i can say is well done on having the best 360's ive ever seen or even heard. Respect brother!
I’m so happy you keep you cars for ages. You can search for anyone driving any car, I hate when people switch cars flat out to keep their content alive; but watching the experience of someone living with a car for an extended period is so much better!! Love this, that noise is fucking insane.

I felt that at 5:45 .. this was my exact face I made first time driving an F430. The feeling of having a Ferrari engine strapped to your back is overwhelming at first. Amazing experience.

Mate...... The car is all of a sudden epic! I don't actually think there are many other cars I would rather be in right now than your 360. Modern cars ”488 Pista/720s” are too fast for the roads these days, I enjoyment factor is minimised by speed/noise of them. You have won the game with this Sam! Congratulations mate.
It does sound incredible but my favourite sound of the videos was the mechanical click as he changes gear 😂

Just came from James May complementing the ‘standardness’ of your car to then see this...
The 360 could indeed be specified when new with this exact optional racing style exhaust (only later fitted to the CS) so you could say all Sam did was retrofit an option from the original parts list like the first owner had the choice to do.

I’ve been fortunate enough to drive a couple of these. By today’s standards, they’re not a fast car, but the way they deliver is so impressive, it’s an icon of a car, such an impressive motor.

I’m pleased for you! You’ve got the car of your dreams, and you’re making it better than new. The tone of that exhaust is heavenly. Worth the long wait and hunt, and such a more tasteful noise than Pauls straight-piped Murci.

Everyday this car gets closer and closer to your dream spec. It's just awesome that even though you do mod, they are tasteful and genuine. I loved the old exhaust on this car but this just completely changed the drama. Well done M8, seriously love this car! This 360 and the SOL murci are definitely my fav youtuber cars right now.

Great video Sam. I was fortunate enough to own a manual 360 Modena with the CS exhaust factory fit. I sold it when I upgraded to my Challenge Stradale. I actually sort of regret that step, as the CS is too precious to take out all the time, but the Modena was perfect for everyday. More comfortable, manual and with the screaming exhaust. Enjoy it - I certainly enjoyed mine!
That sound is not a road car anymore!! It's a hardcore racer!! A classic sound that creates a timeless noise!!
