My first thought when i 1st saw it a few months ago in Louis video: Never ever would I’ve chosen to paint a F40 (!) in blue - but it looks great indeed and grew on me ever since. 288GTO, 512BBi and the F40 will always be my favourite Ferraris. Anyway: thanks for the nice interview/vid, your faces during the „testdrive“ said it all 😊
@@Shmee150 I am soooooo happy to see a car like that go to a man who truly enjoys and appreciates it. Seeing him when he was doing those pulls... I was just waiting for thumper to hop out of the bush on that open road though...
What makes this collection special is Louis. He is the consummate buisness man. He is charismatic, eloquent, enthusiastic and he is an excellent storyteller. The fact he actually drives his cars is icing on the cake.
I can’t get over how passionate and excited Louis just talking about his cars with Tim. It’s always nice to get a glimpse of the inner kid of a successful car guy
So nice to see car collector so passionate and giddy with excitement about owning this absolute dream car. He’s very fortunate but also genuinely loves and drives his cars. They’re not just an appreciating asset to park money or help him show off. This car is definitely in the right hands. 👍🏻
Reminds me of the experience I have behind the wheel of my 93 ZR-1 Corvette. Its such a raw, visceral feeling to pilot it down the road and around curves. The newer Corvettes baby their drivers too much. Also, the sound of the LT-5 is blissful. Hardly ever turn on the radio.
It's always great to see enthusiastic owners that actually drive their cars! Of course the car is an investment, but it deserves to be driven. So I am glad F40 BLU landed with an owner that treats it well, but stretches its legs regularly 👌
The best car ever made!! Amazing spec! The F40 and Especialy the LM version and the 87 models, are dreams!! Remembering that the first units made in 87 "around the first 20 to 25 units" what few people know is that they are stronger and lighter than those produced later! Great content as always!
love the F40, it is THE dream car for me. from the moment i first seen it (motorweek?, circa 1990?). soon as i seen the video, i clicked. always. even though i knew i had seen this exact car before, and even on this channel. thank you Louis, thank you Tim.
@Shmee150 I am soooooo happy to see a car like that go to a man who truly enjoys and appreciates it. Seeing him when he was doing those pulls... I was just waiting for thumper to hop out of the bush on that open road though...
That blue car is the most beautiful of all..... Can't believe he got that for sale. I have seen that car many times and have always thought that is so cool in that blue. It would be a dream to drive that.
I live in the same area and when I saw this F-40... bummm ... I could believe what I was looking and Louis was literally a truly humble gentleman that spend almost 01 hour telling me everything that he could about the car. This is a jewel on wheels and it is a privilege to see this specific car have being using around. Thanks @Tim and @thegentlemansgarage_ for this incredible opportunity to see this car again. What a dream.
Shmee150 Absolutely Incredible Video I think it's awesome that Louis let you drive F40 BLU and I think she sounds absolutely insane and I think it's awesome that she's driven
I’ve never found F40s attractive until the first time I saw this on your channel with the past owner. The color changes everything. The lines look so much better than in red. It literally looks like a different design but just with paint. It looks amazing. So I guess you could say I at least like 1 F40.
That specific shade of blue is potentially my favorite color ever but weirdly, I don't think it suits the F40 as it does other cars, even other Ferrari's. But props to the owner. He seems like such a nice, and genuine guy, which is hard to come by in this tax bracket.
this would be the exact same cars i would buy if i was rich 😢😢 ..the passion to drive them on a daily basis ,Louis is living the dream ....stand up guy : didn't notice the bikes in the back ,respect my guy 🙏
I remember watching your video that you did when Sam was about to sell his F40 and I think it was a week or so before you showed the Shmuseum back in 2021.
F40s are the true road race car. The first one at that level for the street. They are iconic and special. Only for true drivers. Because it's truly raw, power to the wheels..
If he enjoys the way the F40 creeps up on boost, he should really try driving a Supra. A good 700-850hp Supra with a big turbo is like a freight train when it hits boost.
lmao what a coincidence.. i was watching his video where he wasn't talking about f40.. i randomly searched f40 and clicked this video and it took me back to him what a day lmao
More epic content Tim! Our only question is he seeking put a F50 for the collection? A big outlay of cash but well worth it because it will be driven In this collection! And another reason to return in the future to drive the epic F50! Besides a 288 gto the F50 would be the only real missing pieces in this collection ! Thank you!
you know I gotta say I'm happy for the guy, and if he's looking for another car that offers that similar experence, just with a much smoother power delivery and tone, he should go look at a miura, like one of the early early P400's, mind you they are right basket cases, and really need to be sorted to drive right, and the speculators have sabotaged the market so you cant get fair value prices anymore, like the SV's tops should be going for what the P400 goes for, but their unique turbine smooth go carts, but you really have to look after them with battery disconnects and fire extinguishers given how experemental they were,
Just seeing the way Shmee go through the gear changes, i can tell that this car is frustrating to live with, that 3rd pedal could be as hard as balls too, but because this car is appreciated by rich people and they have all sorts of rich stories around it, it seems cool, no thanks for me on slouch gear changing cars, i wouldn’t care if only 200 were made, the only old car that makes sense is the LFA!!
Louis is such a stand up gent - you can tell he's passionate about every car in his collection. Thanks for featuring him Tim!
Amazing what a small world this is! Glad you both were able to spend some time with us and check out the collection🤝
I have never seen such a genuine passionate American ever. This guy is a one off, a nice passionate petrol head from the otherside of the pond!
He's one of those people where you are glad he's wealthy, because he deserves to have all the joy.
na they exist, just not seeking attention on the web

Louis is goals for sure, his aura, taste in cars, his fashion sense 😮💨 he's definitely living the dream
Great guy and a great taste in cars as you say!

He told the same story several different times from the front end being floaty to him being nervous to not meet his hero car.
I can’t get over how passionate and excited Louis just talking about his cars with Tim. It’s always nice to get a glimpse of the inner kid of a successful car guy
I agree

I appreciate the fact he drives all his cars and doesn’t let them sit. That’s amazing 🙏🏼
Blue is such a fantastic color on the F40. The red seats just set off the interior perfectly.
Super to see how excited and electric around the F40 Louis becomes. He deserves this wonderful Ferrari.
I love the gentlemans garage channel. Louis is a great dude. Super nice guy and a real car enthusiast.
What a charming guy Louis is . A modest and inspiring individual
The F40 truly is a car with character. Just love how Louis is so passionate about his childhood dream car.🥰🥰

So good to see 1) an F40 being driven and 2) an owner SO excited by it, even when he has many other epic cars… ❤
I could watch F40 videos all day. Thanks Shmee & Louis
Louis seems to a very genuine and passionate guy, love hearing his stories passion for cars

Great car, great story, great guy. It's so good to hear owners experiences of owning amazing cars like this. Thanks bud.
Numbers are irrelevant nowadays.. These old cars are pure heart and soul 🥰
What an amazing car the F40 is. My favorite Ferrari ever.
I love this F40. The blue works well. I like how the owner drives it! Fantastic video!
Great video , fantastic car and the emotions it brings out in anyone who drives one.
The blue with the red interior looks really good on the f40
in a way this guys seems very humble. dude is also really excited about his cars.
I liked when Sam owned this. He drove it rarely, but properly.
An amazing soundtrack! Love your enthusiasm both of you!
lets gooo shmeeee, thanks for the videos!
I really enjoyed the video. Personally I love the Blue F40.When I first saw the car I was surprised that someone painted an F40,but I really like it.
Amazing car and great collaboration.
Very cool. Self made man as a car enthusiast, love it!

I completely agree. I've never been a big fan either, but this one in blue is just stunning.

Also NGL it’s sick how well tim knows F40. Effortless downshifts 🔥

Wow...what a Gorgeous Gorgeous Blue! #respect
One of your best vids. Great work!
I remember watching your video that you did when Sam was about to sell his F40 and I think it was a week or so before you showed the Shmuseum back in 2021.
That sounds about right
amazing collection! Man has great taste in cars
I love the F40, but I'd rather have an F50. Open top, manual, F1 V12. No massive turbo lag either.
Colour suits it so well..
Great vid! Amazing guy too. Loved the enthusiasm 💪🏼
Phoar ! Love the sound of that iconic car ! Great video

He has an amazing car collection and if that rose gold Nautilus on his wrist is any indication, he probably has an incredible watch collection too.
Very sharp eye! Much more to come on the watches.

F50 is top dog, a real F1Engine on the street. Takes the sound to another level.
Now that's a masterpiece!
What a collection..!
F40 is a dream, such a cool car
Beautiful collection let down by the aesthetics of the space. Perhaps you can give him some tips?🙏🏿
I saw this parked outside my hotel in Miami last October with the UK plate hidden under a Florida plate lol
Ferrari Halo cars look so much more awesome, so much more unique if they are painted other than red.
My favourite would always remain a yellow F50.
Alright this would be the dream garage dear god. F40, SVJ, sf90, gt
Great video Shmee!

I had no idea this car was the libertywalk car. I’m sorry to say but I’m so glad it’s back to a stock body.
Nice to see you going up Pikes Peak today!
It was very cloudy in Texas that day!
素晴らしいF40です、うらやましい!
Hands up who wishes, Tim would occasionally ring the neck of these special drives, or any drive come to think of it that’s not on a race track ☺️
The Ferarri F40 and The Lamborghini Countach, are the most lengendary cars in my opinion. :)
Couldn’t agree more!
I support the rescue of any car from Liberty Walk.
Saw this car in Bicester airfield show day in UK 2018
Emotional sound👍
The f40 has always been my favourite ferrari
I've never liked Rosso Corsa, nearly all Ferrari's look better in another colour and this blue is simply stunning.
Mystery car? Nah. Blue F40? Helllooo!!!!
The black Porsche is soooo beautiful
Seriously good of this guy to let you drive it
The greatest car and the best example. Miles on it so you’re not afraid to drive it but also a non cat non adjust
Nothing like a F40 🔥🔥
a Porsche 959 sitting next to the F40 would be even more awesome
The Color🥵
This video made me happy
Another one to add to the list of cars you’ve driven on multiple continents 🔥

I want to hear more about the Trans Am!
Outstanding F40
Custodian for future generations. My holy grail, 250 GTO, then F40, followed by a Muria P400s.
We need that LaFerrari to match the blue on that F40
Love the blue. Wonder what color it started life as.
Long long long live the amazing F40.
fantastic content love it
My poster car was definitely the Countach
that's the best colour.
Best F40 ride
Bc its the only . Lol
