Great job ZL1 is a beautiful vehicle. Stand alone of all other vehicles. Beautiful sound Looking good. Thanks for sharing your beautiful vehicle. Take care.
Just watched your 243 heads video….. nice video.. I’m still waiting on my supercharger kit to come in. My kit is missing a bottom pulley and it’s on one of the boats floating at see I guess. I bought forged pistons and rods, cam, lt4 high side pump, lt4 in tank pump, injectors, AR headers, and a roto fab big gulp. I don’t want extreme power either. Just want a nice street car to drive around and I don’t have to worry about a stock bottom end not holding up.
I appreciate the continued support! That is exactly what I wanted out of mine. Street car that I can enjoy and drive. Nothing to crazy or out of control. Seems like you are doing it the right way and it will pay off for you. Just have to get those parts in!
@@Stan1le you got support here! Didn’t realize how much time has past until today.. been following a couple years now.. Time flys! I hope you continue with your videos!
Man that spread sheet is so nice. The links are nice too, if they only went to the exact item it would be even better. I am currently doing the LT1 to LT4 conversion. My build motor wise is all done and all forged except crank. 2022 ZL1 donor with 500 miles on it, and have the West Michigan Kit. High side LT4 4 and injectors needed, plus the DSX fuel booster kit. Kind of bummed about the ZL1 harness, never knew that. I guess I will have the surging idle like u or unless someone finds a cure for it. Like you, I am looking for a street able car close to 700 RWHP. Currently my NA power is 528 RWHP on 93, E85 not tuned yet. Great job on your project Stan. ❤❤❤❤
Thanks, man. Some items are worth doing your own research on, so I just left them generic. Should be a monster once you're done! I finally got the surging tuned out, and it's so much better! Check out my new video today!
Had this set up over a year now and it keeps blowing out seals to much pressure getting built into motor, changed every gasket seal you can change into the motor and just got a last leak on my rear main seal
No I haven’t had that problem. The stock LT1 seals aren’t the best and mine has LS3 front and rear main seals. I am also using all the ZL1 ventilation system along with a Mighty Mouse Wild catch can. No issues to report
@@yasmanihernandez5157 good or bad tune you will still have a crankcase ventilation problem. It’s possible that you are building boost in the crankcase via a tube or something like that. I am not sure how your car is all hooked up so I can’t tell you where to start looking. Is it a stock LT1?
“Hi, I’m new to this and I have a genuine question. Is it possible to swap a 2017 RS to a 2017 ZL1 without making modifications to the chassis, like cuts? (Clearly not taking into account the brake change, etc.), thanks.”
You can do the LT4 but you can not run very much boost on a stock LT1 because the pistons are pretty weak. I have fully forged internals so I am running more boost then what a stock LT1 can handle.
@@Stan1le awesome good to know, i’m stuck on either going that route because i got a really good offer on an LT4 or if i should go heads/cam since i’m already FBO
@@isaacrivera7609 if the price is $1,700 or less then I would say you should consider it. Otherwise heads and cam will be better. Having the LT4 is only the beginning and you will need many more parts
Did you have any trouble with the Computers? Or did the car start right up after install? My friend had problems with a transmission not Reading after a swap on his 8speed lt1
This is a manual so that side of the issues is automatically eliminated. But yes tuning was tough even just on the motor. Had to get a tuner that knew the LT’s very well in order to get it right
Hey Stan, What fuel are you planning on running? No e85? Are you running the dsx to help maintain fuel pressure or is that a meth setup? Enjoy your videos man, they are getting better and better, another video idea could be the troubleshooting/issues you've encountered... keep it up 💪🏾
It’s already running on e85. No meth. Just running DSX to support high octane e85 and whatever else I might want to do. Luckily the build has been trouble free minus the clutch install.
Amazing Journey to this point Stan!!!
Stoked to finally get to hear it Bud!!!
Thanks for the support more details coming!

Ive been eyeing that 6th gen camaro, its real tempting, that or a c-7 , but i have 2 kids so the camaro is probably gonna be the one
If your kids have legs, they won't fit well in the camaro either.

Would it be better to put a lt4 super charger on a lt1 or just a full swap from lt1 to lt4 in general
