So I was thinking about purchasing the west michigan lt1 lt4 conversation kit for my 2017 2ss I got my lt4 supercharger off a 2020 zl1. But my question is do I need a different ecu to swap?
No you don’t but you definitely need to make sure you have a tuner that truly knows the LT platform. Unless you go through the trouble of changing the entire engine/trans harness a ZL1 ECU will not work anyway. So a GREAT tuner is key.
I need a new engine for my 17’ SS and was going to get a new LS4 engine that comes with a supercharger. Do you think its worth it or should I just get the ZL1? Also, how’s is ya Maro holding up now that its supercharged, any problems?
So TBH I’m not sure if you are red fro a actual LS4, LSA, or a complete LT4 engine combo. But if you’re talking about a LSA that won’t work. Also I have a buddy that did a complete LT4 swap and it worked out well for him. Just some different details that go into doing it that way. My car has been rock solid since I’ve gotten it 100%. Can’t complain
Im not a fan of the direct injection….ill stick with my lsa supercharged LS’s. Like the one in my nova or cts-v….my c10 has a centrifugal supercharger and i defintely like the positive displacement better…..when the aftermarket is more supportive of LT swaps then maybe my 700hp lsa swapped nova will get an upgrade…….great video by the way, i live in comiefornia so im limited to what i can do to my later model vehicles!!!
May as well just go NA with high flowing heads and a good cam then. Should get to 500+ to the wheels no problem that way and not go crazy plus it will still look stock to the naked eye.
Basically my plan at this point. 600 on the street is plenty, this will never be a “racecar” for me so I’m not chasing huge power. The temptation for boost is real but a big NA motor is rare on newer car nowadays.
@@seanjoseph6154 well some cars sound like they are shaking the earth but are still slow as hell. My truck is a perfect example of that. But I get what you’re saving!
I bought a kit and it comes with everything but pistons, rods, and a fuel system… I know our LT1 can handle more power but it’s scary to spend thousands and then something stupid happens and it’s all waisted… I think I’m gonna hold on to my kit until I save a few more bucks and get everything but who knows… might just go super conservative for a year or so…. Great video and thanks for your service!
If you would of just went port injected with a Maggie 2650
You would have made this video a hell of a lot shorter 😂😂💯

Is it possible to put one of those engines and transmissions into a 1989 IROC Camero with an upgraded chassis? The car I have came with a 350TPI
Yes but there is alot that goes into getting it in and running
Thank you for your service! Centrifugal all day baby! ;)
I’m slowly seeing the light😅
The verts don’t have the aux heat exchangers.
Another reason why I'll never own one.
Good information and have a safe deployment I just got back
nice! I will be ready to get back home. Glad you made it safe

Hi , can I swap LT4 supercharge in LS engine I mean 6.2 LS3 ?
No, you will need a LSA supercharger

Dude you living in a box, ??? Looks like one of those military crate houses we lived in while on tour..
That’s literally what it is. I was on deployment
Great video
thanks!
there’s no difference in the supercharger if i buy the supercharger from weaponx or from a zl1, it’s the same hp right ?
Yes it’s all the same. Unless you pay for additional porting inside the supercharger. Otherwise you will get the same exact supercharger
@@Stan1le okay sounds good, that’s what i was most confused on not knowing if it would be the same hp and same everything

Do you need to tune it or no?
Definitely, there is a lot of tuning that is needed

The lt4 blower, overdrive on the crank to a 9.1, headers, x pipe and roto fab put 652hp to the tires on my car.
@@mjc3502 and that's about as far as you should go without looking into a piston/rod combo
I know this is off topic but does the corsa extreme cat back exhaust deletes the secondary cats?
Yes it does
@@Stan1le is there any difference between the regular cat back and the plus?
@@jamesknaff6314 I think the plus has the double xpipe. Not 100% sure because I’ve never seen a “plus” kit in person

Definitely worth it to get the motor built appropriately. Then you have nothing to worry about. I’m almost done with mine! Thanks as well
Where in the everloving f'ck did you find a LT4 Supercharger for $1500!!!!
