Swanson sells NAC with milk thistle to help protect your liver. Also you should be taking supplements like Tudca to protect your liver anyway if your taking a ton of oral supplements.
I doubt this is an indication of liver damage: if in isolation and only modestly elevated, it is more likely a reflection of elevated osteoblastic activity to undo accumulated osteoporosis.

You could bring the Glycine up of couple grams or so and the NAC could go up another gram or 1200 mg. . . . See where that leads you. Take NAC without food, before a meal, like before breakfast. Another 1200 mg prior to bed. After or before supper. Watch some more videos and kind of jigger your numbers and timing just a bit. I would be interested in how that affects you, if it does. Sometimes a B little experimentation is useful. And the info from other good videos.

Hey Nic! Please make a video about Energy drinks, all the pros and cons of them. How much per day is safe? What ingredients are harmful? Is it the same as coffee? I absolutely love the taste of energy drinks, and that's why I drink them. I've done my part of the research and found it not to be harmful if drinking 1-2 cans a day (250-500ml). The sugar and caffeine content are usually lower than a starbuck coffee.
the problem with energy drinks is not the contents, they are FDA-approved and safe for a cadaver but the danger comes from the cans. The branding is deadly.
You shouldn't think that everything that's in these energy drinks is on the can. There are many ingredients that do not need to be declared. The government will not protect you, politics will protect the industry. It will lie to you and allow the industry to lie and poison you. I would recommend that you only drink water or fruit juice. They're not unencumbered by industrial crap either, but they're still better than this chemical muck
I started taking Glynac about a month ago. Big improvement in brain-fog\cognition and a general sense of energy! The claims are true! I am a 57yo male.... The only concern I have is that there are studies pointing to the acceleration of certain types of cancers when taking one of the supplements: NAC... I think the jury's still out but this could potentially be problematic for obvious reasons.
Also, what would be difference between supplementing with glycine, NAC and the third supplement … versus just drinking matcha, green teas and fruits and veggies (rich in antioxydants)
That is excellent content you are covering thank you. I wonder whether you had any thoughts on whether NAD boosters are still a good idea. I notice from the trial data that Sirt1 increased but telomere length was unaffected by glynac supplementation. I also wonder what would happen after 1-2 years of glynac ?are the benefits sustained or do they drop off due to other factors.
Hey Seb - I can only answer some of your questions. 1. I know nothing about NAD supplements/boosters, except for what NAD does in the body, so I'm only educated on its mechanisms, but not the functional outcomes. I expect to start diving into that literature soon, so stay tuned. 2. I think GlyNAC will be beneficial long term. Will it offer ever lasting life? No. Why? Because glutathione is one pathway of aging, and while it is powerful, it isn't the only factor to consider. So, while GlyNAC will be beneficial long term (educated guess, I have no data on this), there are still other aspects that will carry on the aging process.
Thanks for great content. Aside from increasing antioxydant capacity, what other anti aging mechanisms can you improve? Activating sirtuin genes with resveratrol, fasting (reduce mTOR), supplementing with NMN .. yes im getting this info from david sinclair lol
I think I just had the easiest 5 day water fast ever. Is that a good thing for a 76 year old to do, I feel great. I’m going to relisten to both of these videos. I feel younger now than I did at 70 by a lot.

@Dodgerzden Cysteine can be converted to Taurine, which is also anti-aging. But we all need more Glycine for production of Glutathion, as this research was about. But also for production of Collagen and Creatine. If you supplemented with Creatine, you would have saved some Glycine. Collagen supplementation would have helped, because every third molecule in it is Collagen.
@@larsnystrom6698 AFAIK, taking glycine helps to reduce the negative effects of glyphosate. Stephanie Seneff (MIT professor) has said so. I think all people, regardless of age, would benefit from taking glycine as glyphosate is in 99% of foods, water, etc.
@christianduval8374 Dairy protein is rich in Cysteine. Whey has in the order of 2% of it. Not as much as if you would supplement with GlyNAC. But as much as you can get from any food. Collagen is a good source of Glycine, but it hasn't any Cysteine.

And if I haven't lost you completely with this "do it for free" request, what are your top three inflammation markers hs-crp il-6 and homocysteine?
Hi! Hope you don't mind the inquiry. Can you kindly please elaborate what you mean by "a big bump" after the 2 week peroid? Thank you so much in advance for your response.
@@DF-de8ibHi, and thanks for the Q. I was looking at the chart at approximately 4 minutes and 41 seconds into the vid. After two weeks there was a rather radical bump up. This bump up was for old people on glynac The third set of bars to the right, it was 16 weeks out and it was for young people, the control group who had no glynac What I wanted to know is if that positive bump up was sustained for old people on GlyNAC at 16 weeks. It's an absolutely critical result because if the positive result is only for two weeks, and then it goes back to a baseline of "no difference", it's not worth it taking an expensive supplement for 16 weeks, or longer. Kind of hard to capture the response and the subtleties in a UA-cam text on a mobile phone....but I hope this may have answered your question?
You briefly mentioned the third component of the trio as a protein. What protein? The papers you reviewed seemed to deal with the first two the trio. Did you review research on the third component - the protein? Or is this for a future video?
I started taking GlyNAC about 2 weeks ago on a lark. It's cheap. I'm 64. So why not? I'm pretty fit, so I didn't expect to notice much of a change in anything. And sure enough, no noticeable changes in how any of my exercise routines went or how I felt. But when I went to spot check my blood pressure, I was surprised. I the last few years it had inexplicably bumped up to 130-140 over 80. This after having a solid 120/80 (or lower) all of my life. It's been bugging me because I exercise quite a bit (3500 mile/yr cycling) and am pretty active. The one thing I could add is some weight training. Anyway, my BP is now back to its old level. I've checked for the last 6 days and it is consistently right near 120/80. Sometimes as low as 115/70 and sometimes more like 125/80. This is a clear change. It isn't some subtle shift. It is an obvious one. I guess what I'll do now is gradually reduce the dose (I'm currently just below the study dose level) and see if/when the BP goes back up. Ideally, I'd like to drop the dose to something lower than what was used in the study.
The third one (the protein) is glutathione - I seem to have confused some people with my poor wording, my apologies. :)
But glycine is also a protein???

Is there a dosage recommendation? Sorry if I missed it in the video
Thanks for your insights! I really have enjoyed listening to you over the last month since subscribing! I’ve been supplementing GlyNAC for the past year and have definitely noticed a difference in my workout outputs. And my skin has seemed to become smoother. I’m getting my blood work reviewed by my Dr next week! HgA1c is one of the tests.
All the best at your appointment, Sean.

Great video. I have recently added NAC and Glycine supplementation for many of the reasons in this video. Can you comment on the N.Sato et al. study published on pubmed Dec 2009 that says NAC reduces collagen production. I have also been supplementing with that for some time and, based on my ill-informed read of the literature, it looks like i am undoing some of the benefits of taking collagen. Thank you in advance.
Awesome content and presentation 👏 I never miss a new video! Small question: I know you can buy GlyNAC but I take it as 2 supplements, Glycine and NAC. Is that okay?
Sure, that's how they did it in the official study.
this is so awesome! thank you! I started glyNac a few weeks ago. One of the two substances I consider an "elixir" of life ... Can you do an updated video on the data regarding Astazanthin?
Another great video. Thank you.
Thx for your excellent and comprehensive presentation, as usual.
Actually , as for me, If Glynac can increase your Alkaline Phosphatase level, we definitely could think it is not a really helpful anti-aging supplement. No smoke without fire.
I have been taking 3g of nac and at least 6g of glycine daily for months and have not noticed anything except that when I have a cold, the mucus in my lungs clears up better. But only if I drink a lot. That is also the typical medical application. I'm 54
Still going. I would love it if you could make a video going over the studies showing low leucine levels and life span. I am interested because of the role of mTor. Also how does the effect of leucine on mTor contrasted with the effect of taurine on mTor?
Where can people get the supplement. I don’t trust anything from amazon.
Was very interesting and informative, but at the end was not sure what supplements i should take, especially rhe third one?
Yes I’m also not clear on the third item on the power of 3
additionally to 2*600mg(...1200mg) NAC and 2*4g of glycine, i also throw in 2*5g glutamine and 2*5 drops of methalene blue 1%.
that combination is awesome.
what's your experience with methylene blue particularly?
did you try infrared light? they said it's reducing inflammation itself charging mitochondria
did you try active B1 maybe?
sorry for disturbing
@@szymonbaranowski8184 methylene blue gives me much more energy and a kind of calmness that gives me more focus at work. for reduction of inflammation, the amino acid combination to boost glutathione is already doing a great job. additionally to glynac, i also added glutamine which is also a buildingblock for the TRIpeptide glutathione.
@stefanweilhartner4415 How much methylene blue were you taking and what time of the day were you're taking it?
@@sncnutrition7118 5 to 10 drops in the morning
LOL, I read your thumbnail as "...to the power of 3 factorial"

this was rad. thanks for posting.
Hey! Do you have any idea of oils can have phytic acid in them? I consume alot of macadamia nut oil and i wonder if it has no phytic acid in it because the solids are out. Thanks:)
Interesting . Thanks for sharing bro! But just out of curiosity, how exactly did the researchers gauge markers of liver injury/issues?? Did they assess using ultrasound or fibroscan or just simple blood tests to see if supplementaion greatly elevated liver enzymes? Thanks
Great information. Thank you
Also doesn't supplementing selenium and Sulphur(MSM) increase glutathione?
Zero energy drinks are safe. Coffee, in moderation, without sugar, will make you live longer.
@@Burnrate The FDA is a branch of the industry that is supposed to sell you the crap of the industry as "approved".
@John Recker You do it for me please. And send me the sources too at the same speed that you replied without actually reading my whole question.
The cancer side of things makes me hesitate as well. Hoping future studied can clear those concerns up.
Which studies?
Just don't take nac daily
Nope! Just take curcumin and alpha lipoic acid as well. NO CANCER!
I understood that the "studies" you mentioned were proven false.
At 7:49, is that fasting insulin level or something else like average insulin level? Thank you!
Fasting, I believe.
Thank you for this video! I’m so pleased that I can confirm supplement worthiness from your explanations
Where is the best place to buy these supplements and what brands do you suggest?
Also, what would be difference between supplementing with glycine, NAC and the third supplement … versus just drinking matcha, green teas and fruits and veggies (rich in antioxydants)
too much external antioxies can lower your internal production...
wasn't green tea good for girls but not so much for boys? (lower testo)
Potency, far greater potency, is the difference
Osteoporosis too? Bone health. I was doing all the things recommended for the condition except aging couldn’t stop.
Aging only stops at death 😌👌
Sinclair is a scammer
@@M1kl00 evidence that david sinclair is a scammer? He’s a harvard professor, you can see on their website

I think I just had the easiest 5 day water fast ever. Is that a good thing for a 76 year old to do, I feel great. I’m going to relisten to both of these videos. I feel younger now than I did at 70 by a lot.
No a larger portion of your body is water. There's no need to water fast, it's mandatory for every function. Just don't over hydrate and you'll be fine.
0:14 Wait wait wait. You're going to make a cinematic reference to the power of three and magic and not mention charmed who actually called themselves the power of three and they required using the power of three in every single episode to solve their problems.
Great content. Thank you
Does it matter that the gly and nac
be taken at the same time or not? Can the gly be a powder form and the nac be in a pill? Wondering what is the best way to do this.
Didn't talk much about the 3rd other than proteins. Maybe Taurine?
So I've been taking NAC for a few years. Has it been all worthless without combining it with glycine?
@Dodgerzden
Cysteine can be converted to Taurine, which is also anti-aging.
Great video! It seems in the 16 weeks, w can see GlyNac's benefit. I'm wondering how long GlyNac's benefit can be washed out.
What about NAC with Taurine ! It does work as the same as glycinate !
Ok so how much of each to supplement?
Have you done any research on methylene blue?
Have video on it
Got it. Thanks. Our bodies are amazing in the way they function.
For those who don't have access to NAC, what akternatives do they have?
@christianduval8374
Dairy protein is rich in Cysteine.
Whey has in the order of 2% of it.
Not as much as if you would supplement with GlyNAC. But as much as you can get from any food.
Collagen is a good source of Glycine, but it hasn't any Cysteine.
8:14 Is RAD still a word? RAD initially meant "radical" meaning, progressive. Then, progressive became a political concept.
Love your content! But I’m puzzled after watching this video. What is the ‘third” item? All you say about it it is that its a “protein.”
Pinned comment. I didn't make it clear.
How much did they need to supplement with to see these changes?
Have you considered a mini series on the Halmarks of aging and how to combat each those through diet/lifestyle/fasting?
E.g.
What are the hallmarks of aging
Hallmark 1: research on how to combat
Hallmark 2: " "
Etc
Etc
Yes, but I need to do a lot more analysis before I feel educated enough to put that together. :)
I increase glutathione with broccoli sprouts via sulphoraphane. Do you think this would work
Did you see the longevity diet research? Reversed age in just 8 weeks? They've published a follow up study on this too.
Where?
@Francesco pub med but the main author has done a number of interviews on YT. The report has also caught the headlines in mainstream media too
Hello,
I am not sure if you will see this but I am wondering, is this advantageous over taking glutathione itself?
I have a short answering that, check it out.
I am currently taking creatine and work out 5 days a week with weights. Will GlyNac supplement enhance workout capacity? Great content! Maybe collab with my faves Dr Stansfield or Dr Attia? One can hope!
I see some potential in these substances doing so. Worth giving it a try. Yet they won't make up for a bad diet and poor sleep. Hope those are dialed in well.
@gordonwho
If GlyNAC improves the health of the mitocondria, that would improve the performance.
So, the research supports that!
I not as versed as others here seem to be.
I should have thought that
R-alpha lipoic acid would have played a role in the “power of three” .
I’m now an insider …. Got enough great content for free … need to help our excellent host produce more great content.
I just watched a video where you said that niacin could increase insulin sensitivity .
Does taking the mix of 3 help to prevent that at all ?
I've been taking NAC ang glycine for over 2 years now and my brain fog has gone and my cognitive function is sharper in my late 50's. My dose is twice a day 2g NAC and 3g glycine each serving. Is there an optimal dose for us older people?
Up your dose of Glycine.
Lower your dose of Glycine.
Then up it again
what about the metal, selenium?
Whats your supplement stack?
I LOVED this video!!! So fetch!
Thanks, Patricia!
There seems to be a big bump in the improvement beyond the two-week period.
Out at 16 weeks it looks really good.
Can you please drop a few lines on the average age of a mitochondrion?
And if I haven't lost you completely with this "do it for free" request, what are your top three inflammation markers hs-crp il-6 and homocysteine?
Hi! Hope you don't mind the inquiry. Can you kindly please elaborate what you mean by "a big bump" after the 2 week peroid? Thank you so much in advance for your response.
@@DF-de8ibHi, and thanks for the Q.
I was looking at the chart at approximately 4 minutes and 41 seconds into the vid.
After two weeks there was a rather radical bump up.
This bump up was for old people on glynac
The third set of bars to the right, it was 16 weeks out and it was for young people, the control group who had no glynac
What I wanted to know is if that positive bump up was sustained for old people on GlyNAC at 16 weeks.
Think the protein he's talking about is glutathione, the "antioxidant protein" he references at 3:23.
Unless I misunderstood, Glycine + NAC produces Glutathione... the latter being your 'missing' protein.
@@zer0thzero428 Glycine, NAC, and Cysteine
Sorry for the confusion, Ken. Patricia and Zer0th nailed it.
Do you take this forever? Cycle on and off?
8:13 -- I'm pretty sure the latest word is "hip" or "jive"...
Thanks. :)
Might be worth combining with fasting?
Hasn't NAC been shown to increase some various forms of cancer ?
Hi there- what is the ratio between Glycine and cysteine- I can only purchase it separately-
