Oh wow what a year for musicals. I didn't realize Spamalot, Putnam County, Light in the Piazza, AND Dirty Rotten Scoundrels all came out in the same season!
Twelve angry men, Little Women, Putnam, Spamalot, Drowsy Chaperone, Sweet Charity, oml. What was going on in the arts this year?! Most fantastic season I’ve ever seen!
La Cage Aux Folles tho.....there doing backflips, round offs, kick lines, SPLITS, TURNS, and serious fan kicks WHILE IN HEELS AND IN DRAG Ummmm lets give them a MAJOR round of applause
how has this never ever shown up in my recommendations? I saw the 25th Putnam spelling bee at Fringe Fest in 2010 a couple of the characters reminded me of characters in Total Drama (I later found out that Courtney was influenced by one character) what the Billy? I thought Hugh was hosting ugh 2005 was too crazy for words 11:37 NOT THAT DAVID HARBOUR!? man he looked so young then and to think in about a decade he'll get a role that will change everything hard to believe he was up for a tony when almost none of the kids from Stranger Things was born yet Hugh would not be asked back until 2014 (don't get me wrong I like Neil, and James and Ariana but at least Hugh always looks like he's having a ball when he hosts the Tony's) Mario don't make fun of Kathleen Turner's arthritis it's really painful 28:36 no you don't (yes 2005 was a different time) as of this posting John Kander is still with us he won a lifetime achievement Tony last spring it's a crime that Matthew Morrison hasn't gotten a Tony Nod since then, but he's going to land Glee and get bigger exposure kind of shocked that Kate embraced the internet being for porn after Trekkie and most of the other male residents at Avenue Q butted in (and for the record The Internet is for Porn is funnier when you're sitting in the audience) 1:24:53 oh hi Jessie Tyler Ferguson gee Marcy got a word I probably wouldn't have spelled right myself 1:27:26 a subtle reference to his failed US Presidential run geez it it could wait for the camera to get closer so it would catch Christopher Reeve at the start of it Paris Hilton wouldn't get married until the early 2020's long after the media stopped paying attention to her and turned their attention towards the Kardashians That tradition didn't make it past this Tony Awards Harvey briefly brought back his beard though not the 90s one I thought I sensed Sutton in Little Women, shame it didn't get a best musical nod
This is my list of movies that should be adapted into stage musicals in the 2000s decade: 1 Sister Act 2 The Blues Brothers 3 Labyrinth 4 Aladdin 5 The prince of Egypt 6 Pink Floyd The wall But mostly I'd like to see number 2 adapted as a stage musical. Which movie would you like to see adapted as a musical?
So I don't know how often you post these, but I was wondering if you could post the 2006 Tony Awards? Or tell me where I can watch it? Because I have been dying to see it! It is important, thanks!
BROOKLYN THE MUSICAL at 1:02. I did see it when I was 13 for Kids Night on Broadway. The music is excellent. I was dissapointed when they got snubbed by the Tonys (especially Eden Espinosa for Best Leading Actress in a Musical). And Eden needs to come back to Broadway ASAP.
yeah Spelling Bee would always have a "special guest" that gets a stupidly easy word like Cow (when Winnipeg Fringe Fest did the show in 2010 the special guest was the winner of Canada's Next Top Model) before they eventually get eliminated, though granted I wouldn't have gotten the word he got either

best Broadway season in a long time...
I love Tony Awards like this where it isn't just one show sweeping everything.
the years when one musical wins everything is kinda boring :/
Yesss Sara Ramirez yesssss
Spamalot is at about 1:45:00
SARA is amazing
What on Earth was in the water this year? Simply some of the best plays and musicals ever created.
Thank you so much for posting. The Jesse L. Martin tribute to Jerry Orbach (1:37) is so tasteful and wonderful!
sara ramirez and sandra oh breathing the same air!!!
Twelve angry men, Little Women, Putnam, Spamalot, Drowsy Chaperone, Sweet Charity, oml. What was going on in the arts this year?! Most fantastic season I’ve ever seen!
I miss tony awards that embraced the spirit of broadway.
I miss broadway with a spirit to embrace.
Loved it! Thanks for posting.
Was Sara Ramirez really singing after coughing like that when she won her Tony? Smh amazing

1:45:55 Find Your Grail
Hugh Jackman is such a charismatic host and just as entertaining as Neil Patrick!!
32:26 Christina Applegate NAILED that pratfall!!
La Cage Aux Folles tho.....there doing backflips, round offs, kick lines, SPLITS, TURNS, and serious fan kicks WHILE IN HEELS AND IN DRAG
Ummmm lets give them a MAJOR round of applause
Included was a tribute for Chicago's creator and original Billy Flynn
20:40 He's come a long way since he was Larry Fishburne in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 3"
The shot at the Oscar's for having Beyoncé sing 3 songs lol
Celia Kenan-Bolger opening Spelling Bee then looking over at Light at the Piazza must have been devastating
dan foglers speech made me cry
ha 28:34 i wouldn't be saying that lyric in 2019 LMFAO
I also wouldn’t mention that lyric in 96,000 from In The Heights that also mentions him.
Hi, do you have Tony Awards 2002? Thanks for upload this :)
how has this never ever shown up in my recommendations?

28:36 no you don't (yes 2005 was a different time)
as of this posting John Kander is still with us he won a lifetime achievement Tony last spring
it's a crime that Matthew Morrison hasn't gotten a Tony Nod since then, but he's going to land Glee and get bigger exposure
kind of shocked that Kate embraced the internet being for porn after Trekkie and most of the other male residents at Avenue Q butted in (and for the record The Internet is for Porn is funnier when you're sitting in the audience)
1:24:53 oh hi Jessie Tyler Ferguson
gee Marcy got a word I probably wouldn't have spelled right myself
1:27:26 a subtle reference to his failed US Presidential run
geez it it could wait for the camera to get closer so it would catch Christopher Reeve at the start of it
Paris Hilton wouldn't get married until the early 2020's long after the media stopped paying attention to her and turned their attention towards the Kardashians
That tradition didn't make it past this Tony Awards
Harvey briefly brought back his beard though not the 90s one
I thought I sensed Sutton in Little Women, shame it didn't get a best musical nod
Dan Fogler wins at around 1:00:00
Isnt he in Fantastic Beasts??
@@matt13r1 Yes he is

I just realized, Bernadette announced the nominees for main actor right…. well, she announced her co star in Annie

1:41:15
Who does Hugh Jackman think he is trying to over sing Aretha Franklin!?
That’s what I was thinking the whole time, I’m starting to hate him even more 😍
It’s a duet bro, it’s clearly structured that way 😂
