I'm a soft classic who loves color and pattern--neutral tones prescribed for classics look washed out on me because of my coloring. And they make me bored! But I figured out that as long as the silhouette/cut of my clothing is clean and symmetrical, and the scale of the print isn't too large or high-contrast, I can wear color and print and they don't overwhelm me. So I like what you said about our essence serving as a guide, because I have a softer and more whimsical essence than the typical "classic".
I’m a proper classic - totally agree with your comments on flexibility through aesthetics. It takes almost nothing to move me from central / modest classy to punky, very elegant, sporty… but I’m also very easily overwhelmed and it takes the same “almost nothing” to go from balanced to overly fancy, overly sloppy, overly anything!
Whenever I questions whether or not I am a soft classic I remember how awful and frumpy I look if I'm wearing clothes that look cheap, or are oversized. For me, less is definitely more.
Thank you so so much for tuning in!!! And I’m excited to incorporate more non celebrity women to bump up the relatability factor. It can be hard seeing the same celebrities and constantly worries if we look like them. But it’s more than that, and hopefully these videos can help demonstrate that ✨
Pure classic here. I felt so seen since the Kibbe reddit has nothing for us😢🤭🤭💕 I felt overlooked, bland, unstated, etc. I always wanted to be taller or shorter. Curvier or straighter. Sharper or more soft. I remember when I was like 9 I used to frequently look in the mirror and think "I have the most average face in the world". I just wanted something...more. Anything that would make me stand out in a world where a noticeable physical appearances garnered strong reactions. I now appreciate the beauty of the pure classic. Elegant. Sophisticated. Effortlessly put-together. Royal. Reserved. I've learned to appreciate what I bring to the table in terms of beauty.
YEEEEESSSSS🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I love hearing journey stories like this 🥺🤗 And my goodness….you have SO many options as a pure Classic. With the slightest little adjustment you can alter your “look”…..it’s like a superpower 💪🏻 There is nothing “average” about classics…..so much beauty to be expressed!
@@elyssa_aesthetic thank you! This video and your insight is a gem. Last night I tried a gothic vampire look with black lipstick and a simple off the shoulder dress. I looked heavenly. I was too busy looking over my shoulder instead of beautifying what I had.

This channel really helped me out into knowing what I really want to wear and what curates my body type and essence. It still took me a long time because I had to observe my body features more and I focused also in what traits I feel more closely drawn to. Because of this channel, I can finally say that I have an ingenue body type with soft classic essence.
I *loved* this video. The "yin fresh classic" that you identified for Kelli seems to be the first time I've ever had an "aha!" moment with typing and found myself in a type.
Great video, Elyssa! So interesting to see how you've analyzed other Classics after having had my own report done. Your recommendations for these beautiful Classics are so honoring to each one of them. That's my favorite thing about what you do. You have a sixth sense about essence and nuance and know just what to suggest to bring out those unique traits.
Thanks Isabel 💛 Yeah I’ve never had a single client report that was exactly like another! And it just be so fun for you to see the comparison after receiving your report 🤗 Hope you’re doing well ✨
Wow! Thank you so much! I now know that I am definitely a “classic” body type and what you said about more prominent features standing out against an overall balanced look being that much more noticeable on classically proportioned individuals like myself really resonated with me! I have very sharp but large cat shaped eyes that people always complement me on but my nose is a bit too large in my opinion but because of my eyes, my face still displays enough symmetry or facial harmony as to not take away from my overall look. I still want a nose job but I know that my parents would kill me plus the only surgeon that I would trust costs > $20k so I’ll continue to try to love and appreciate all of the good things about my looks, some of which you articulated so well in this video. Thank you for giving so many different types of women the tools and inspiration to admire their own qualities.
This is absolutely my goal; to showcase a diverse amount of beauty so you can develop the eye to identify your nuances💛 So glad this video has helped you along your journey ✨
I'm not a classic but I found this video very educational. I would love to see this type of video for a Theoretical Romantic. Thanks for a great video.
This was so helpful! I’ve just discovered I’m a classic. I’ve tried to wear combat boots so many times but it just doesn’t work for me :( this really explains why and what is better for me. Discovering my style is quite interesting. I’m able to go through my clothes now with fresh eyes and I can say goodbye to items that don’t work for me :) thanks 👍
First, I'm so glad you're posting videos on UA-cam again! Second, your hair looks beautiful. Third, this video was excellent. It really made the classic lines clear on each of your client models. Well done! So looking forward to more videos from you, Elyssa!
This has by far been the most helpful video I think I've ever watched about style. Since I worked out I'm a dramatic classic, I've been going through my wardrobe and making new outfits and realising exactly why some combinations don't work on me like they would on others (eg mixing very feminine with very masculine elements in the same look, where either of those pieces with other elements that are more 'matching' work for me) Thank you for explaining this so clearly and thoroughly, you've saved me potentially throwing out big chunks of my wardrobe and also given me lots of new looks, just by explaining these principles and how essence goes beyond body type.
The topics of essence has always been interesting to me, but I agree to the analysis. How we view ourselves, our own vibes, needs to be done in an honest way. We need to respect our selves and honored. It’s very hard to do.
I LOVE seeing that you’ve posted a new video! You are so talented-your content is informative yet entertaining. Plus, you do such a great job curating your content and putting these videos together. I’ve learned so much from you 🙌🏻💕

Also I think that my essence is very natural, which puts me even more in between 😂 its weird because I feel like these are two very opposite body types, one being very posh and chic and the other more roaring and carefree
Might be your BD speaking or you just need someone to look at you, which is more objective than you looking at yourself. Took me a few times to actually see that I'm moderate from head to toe
I’m Ingenue-Romantic in my system. I can incorporate some recommendations/principles from Gamine, but do not have enough obvious small scale angularity for those principles alone to appear native on me. So Charming, Youthful Romantic with pops of crisp structure works well for me.
I think the Big bold print does not suit Kellis classic style. A smaller and more homogen print or a more symmetrical print would have looked better in my opinion.
Can you maybe make a video about women who have some ingenue facial features but their body type is not actually ingenue. I'm a Romantic with some ingenue facial features that make me look a lot younger than I am.

Also I think that my essence is very natural, which puts me even more in between 😂 its weird because I feel like these are two very opposite body types, one being very posh and chic and the other more roaring and carefree
Might be your BD speaking or you just need someone to look at you, which is more objective than you looking at yourself. Took me a few times to actually see that I'm moderate from head to toe
thank you
yessss!
I would absolutely love a consultation
You look amazing in that high neckline, what's your kibbe type?
Thank you 💛 I’ve never been typed by Kibbe…..but when I was practicing his system I identified most with SG and R
Great video!
yay, a new video from you😍
Elyssa, what is your style type? Have you been analyzed by Rachel from Truth is Beauty?
I’m Ingenue-Romantic in my system. I can incorporate some recommendations/principles from Gamine, but do not have enough obvious small scale angularity for those principles alone to appear native on me. So Charming, Youthful Romantic with pops of crisp structure works well for me.
Come back!
I think the Big bold print does not suit Kellis classic style. A smaller and more homogen print or a more symmetrical print would have looked better in my opinion.
hmm I wouldn't put olivia wild as a classic, she looks like a natural (maybe leaning towards classic) to me.
Great job!
Can you maybe make a video about women who have some ingenue facial features but their body type is not actually ingenue. I'm a Romantic with some ingenue facial features that make me look a lot younger than I am.
Yeah this is an effect that is present in quite a few women out there. I’ll add it to my list of videos ✨
You look so beautiful in this video!
Oh goodness thank you!
