All The Issues | 1974 VW Beetle Build

- When we got this 1974 VW Beetle, we knew it was going to have some issues. They all do, unless your buying one from a perfectionist who has stored it inside and kept it in mint shape, or even a recently restored one and at that point your paying a good chunk of cash. So we found this car up near cobalt Ontario. We knew it was in pretty good shape but it had a few rust spots, so we assumed the basics, heater channels, possibly floor pans. But we did happen to find a few suprises when we got to poking around. Once the car was on the hoist we were able to look at everything in much better light, able to get under the car and check every aspect out. Yes unfortunately we did find out the car had been in a minor fender bender but that's ok, no major damage and we will repair this to like new. I am a slight perfectionist myself and I truly enjoy working on these vehicles so I plan to have this car brought back to life completely so I can daily drive it next summer.

Im doing a 74 vw love bug. Frame off new flat orange paint. Floor pans and heater channels. 9k in it going to 15k budget.. still haven't finished assembly. Moved to new house with a new shop in back Cant wait till shes done (2110cc cb engine)
awesome! Im in the same boat, I paid 5k for this car. Ill have another ten into it when its done and im about to sell my house haha Ill Follow your channel for updates on the car!!

Definitely not original rear apron. U can pivot the body off the rear body mounts. Make’s alignment easier just hard to finish weld some areas
definitely not lol, its the Mexican apron. This car was redone and treated poorly after. That all changes now lol even though they spent a lot of time redoing the car they definitely cheaped out on a few key parts
