LCW is absolutely the best company to stretch limo personally had one of the stretched from LCW for over four years never had any problem whatsoever i highly recommend them and also they have a best customer service .
Great show. Interesting to see what all goes into making a limousine. Only problem was that I own a 2005 Lincoln Town Car. An actual Town Car. This is no Town Car...
Awesome video guys! I found this to be very interesting and liked how you also used an MKT compared to a DTS or Town Car. You see very few MKT stretches around...
it's a shame they don't put v8 engines in their cars anymore, and it´s also stupid they canceled the town car!!! thats like porsche canceling the 911!!
So ford went from a classed up police car to a mom-mobile, wtf ford, this is why I'm a Chevy guy (among other reasons) great vid Tho, best limousine building on UA-cam
The MKT looks better as a limo than it does as production. I think it has the perfect limo profile and doesn't look ridiculously stretched out like the town car did. It's almost as though they designed this car knowing that many of them would be turned into limos
Nice video! I just wish Ford would bring back the Lincoln Town Car. This MKT is not that attractive. And the proof is in the numbers. Only about 7,000 of these sell per year compared to the Town Car which sold about $20,000+ per year.
I'm so disgusted with what Lincoln has done with their product line. They took away the Town Car, a staple in the limousine business. I have owned 5 town car's since the 90s. Now I don't even know what MKwhatever I see on the streets. The only way to tell it is a Lincoln is by getting close enough to see the Lincoln emblem. Now they've brought the Continental back. I'm not impressed. Bring the Town Car back. Cadillac is also confusing with their CT, EXwhatever. The only thing I know for sure is that an Escalade is still a Cadillac. I own a 2011 Cadillac DTS, and it still feels and looks like a Cadillac. Unfortunately like Lincoln did in the same year is drop the DTS and Lincoln dropped the Town Car. Sigh.
"Bring the Town Car back" I've heard that they're going to; I haven't heard a time frame. (I used to manage a small "special services" limousine company, and also worked for a large Dav El affiliate. I left to pursue another career just as the Town Car was being retired from Ford's lineup. When they introduced the so-called MKT "Town Car" and said it was in response to requests from the livery industry I could only shake my head in disgust and think "Who'd you talk to?")
Whats the point of making a "MKT (NOT Town Car) Limousine"? Why not just use a Navigator, this is useless its not a town car, its ugly, you might as well put your effort into making a Ford Escape a limo, because thats what it is.
I'm not an expert with engineering cars but here's what I think could be done to transform a standard everyday family sedan into a limousine!!! so please bear with me & correct me if I'm wrong!!! say you want to make a 2020 Cadillac CT6-V Limited i-TRAC AWD 6.2 t-Turbo V8 4-Dr Luxury Sedan (LHD) into a 38.3 in. stretched limousine!!! you need to procure 2 pre owned or lightly damaged Cadillac CT6-V Limited i-TRAC AWD 6.2 t-Turbo V8 4-Dr Luxury Sedan (LHD) from a scrap yard, one that hasn't been scrapped as yet!!! cut out the mid floor section including the full B-Pillar from the 2 donor Cadillac CT6-V Limited i-TRAC AWD 6.2 t-Turbo V8 4-Dr Luxury Sedan (LHD) & weld each other to the length you intend to stretch!!! and then weld the new floor section back onto the front & rear section of the car that you've already cut out for the stretch!!! agreed it's a time consuming complex job but it's worth the effort & money!!! please advise!!!
This company started off by my.grandmas brother Carlos allen who built and designed Rolls Royce. He then sold it to Kenny Boyer that the dad of the gentlemen speaking. My great uncle was a coachbuilder. Which i also plan to pursue what he started. Kenny and my uncle Carlos may they Rip. This company should of been given to my father who.was the chief financial officer
I still can't figure out for the life of me why they didn't decide to make it the MKS instead of the MKT. I mean... go from big car to next biggest car, not big car to crossover-ish... SUV-hearse... type thing... what?!?!
It's supposed to be a limousine! Why the hell does it look so tacky? I have not seen an elegant looking limousine in decades. All you're doing is basically stretching a SUV and adding little lights and glitter. It would feel right at home if it was in Las Vegas.
ecoRfan I call these the poor-man's limousine because these are usually rented for low class social events like proms, bachelor parties, or when a tacky criminal finds himself with enough wealth to rent one and show off his mediocre sense of style.
Not to sound overly critical but this video seemed more gimmicky than informative for something coming from Popular Mechanics. Whoever created the thought bubbles coming from no one's head in particular and calendar graphics deserves a raise or at least a personal parking space.

Really enjoyed the video! Thanks for all the work that went into producing such a detailed How-Its-Done video!
The finishing touches remind me of radio installs and lighting. That’s my specialty
I drive these mkt stretch limos. It looks nice and handles good. Has the power.
I would like to say that this video really convinced me, you give me best information! Thanks, very good post.
I always thought the MKT was ghastly, but it really looks great as a limo!
NICE....And then 5 years from now I can go to a surplus auction and buy it for pennys on the dollar!
I was amazed to see the quality of this video. Great job.
This man is a genius.
the resin holes that he was talking about is the same idea of the honeycomb inside the formula1 chassis
I miss the Town Car, thats all I gotta say.
Great show. Interesting to see what all goes into making a limousine. Only problem was that I own a 2005 Lincoln Town Car. An actual Town Car. This is no Town Car...
Brilliant video
I love using autocad, an awesome resource
All that modern technology and advancement in engineering and my man breaks out the SawzAll... I love it ! "Ugh ugh ugh"
Awesome video guys! I found this to be very interesting and liked how you also used an MKT compared to a DTS or Town Car. You see very few MKT stretches around...
id love to watch them do this with other cars.
great video
I want that limosine WOW what a car is that
Great video!
it's a shame they don't put v8 engines in their cars anymore, and it´s also stupid they canceled the town car!!! thats like porsche canceling the 911!!
kellogs345 day

You all do great work. Thanks
Cool video
+THE1POSTMAN thanks
Very interesting.
The MKT looks really good as a limo.

I wish they would add a rear window partition and a cargo cover. To make it fee more car like.
19:05. "The most nerve wreaking part of the process is putting the key in and turning it on"............. Proceeds to hit the push to start button.
looks really nice, would love to see a Lexus SUV turned into a limo as well
Now I know how to make my own limo. Thank you lol
Just curious... did the people that downvoted this video expect a Hummer limousine?
No. They expected a better looking car.
music

does it do good in snow?
i wonder if they expand the curtain airbag
Very Nice... but where's the DJ Booth and Go-Go Pole?
Where does one go for replacement parts
Any Ford dealership for most parts, or LCW for custom parts like cabinet doors, crystal holders, etc.
and great video
I think about were i was conceived 7:40.
What company makes this? The name please?
19:10 how can you put a key in the ignition when it’s a push start button?!
how do i get the direct licence,am also an engineer
Do they make like limo vans like the ford and chevy conversion van ?? In camper van style ??
yes...its called a class "C" RV, you get in it and drive to your camping spot.
Wow!!
Amen brotha...
How much this project cost thanks?
Really interesting and well done, but it made me want to do some naughty things in the back of a limo.
Hi how much it will cost to build used Lincoln MKT Car into Limousine 2015 model
great

Guys, what software do you use to create 3D Animation in your videos?
sides need to be stronger 3 beams and steel sides and side air bags
4:55 see the side body warp and the a paint dull finish 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼auto chop chop.
Why was the interior building process left out?
Trade secret.
Great video, I loved it!:-)
I just saw one today.
I LOOOOOOVE IT!!!!
So wait, he wore the same shirt/pants and his hair didn't grow for 45 days!!??😳
they likely had a few cars at different levels of completion.
😂😂😂
Whats the point of making a "MKT (NOT Town Car) Limousine"? Why not just use a Navigator, this is useless its not a town car, its ugly, you might as well put your effort into making a Ford Escape a limo, because thats what it is.
it's cheaper
I wana see a caddilac escalade limousine
considering there is a weight gain, wouldn't you revise the engine and put some more power to it? or just keep it stock?
Dear Santa, For this Christmas
bring back the panther platform please
What about the exhaust
The Angel BALLACK
it this my dream car
Allohul Ghony ,Allohul Mughny,the miracle😅

nICE
That why limo have few doors
I gotta design my own
tod boyar is my uncle now he's on UA-cam
What about the superfly Eldorado from the movie Superfly
that car looks like the car from 2012 movie
This company started off by my.grandmas brother Carlos allen who built and designed Rolls Royce. He then sold it to Kenny Boyer that the dad of the gentlemen speaking. lovely this is fine good looking you are okay
looks more like a station wagon than a sedan which is what limos have always been back in the day when style mattered....
The old MKT was a crossover, not a sedan...
hahah "maybe I was conceived in one of these cars"
When they were delivering it something hanging from underneath the car
flies*
You're welcome!
*Flies away*
There's a surprising amount of whining about this car that goes on in the comments section, and I'm not sure that I understand it.
@midas617
It's faster, more spacious, less costly to fuel, and has cooled seats. What's not to have?
up next video is top gear limo challenge..
That new lincon is horrible it's a town car suv hybrid monster :-( I would defo hire some else like a 300c stretch etc.....
I still can't figure out for the life of me why they didn't decide to make it the MKS instead of the MKT. I mean... go from big car to next biggest car, not big car to crossover-ish... SUV-hearse... type thing... what?!?!
i made a custom Holden Cruze Executive limousine, along with a Ford Excursion limo in roblox.
MKT was the biggest design FUCK UP ever!
It's supposed to be a limousine! Why the hell does it look so tacky? I have not seen an elegant looking limousine in decades. All you're doing is basically stretching a SUV and adding little lights and glitter. It would feel right at home if it was in Las Vegas.
SUV limousines are uncommon so they are worth more
Drawkill Foxy Really? Because that is all I ever see.
+xm377Moyocoyatzin where I'm from limousines aren't common
xm377Moyocoyatzin I do find typical limos to look more Vegas-y like they are designed for entertainment before true elegance.
ecoRfan I call these the poor-man's limousine because these are usually rented for low class social events like proms, bachelor parties, or when a tacky criminal finds himself with enough wealth to rent one and show off his mediocre sense of style.
🎉tes drive ,drive thru
If I could afford one, I would ask for the twin-turbo Taurus SHO Ecoboost engine.
But you not gonna drive that car, So why need the twin-turbo?
Eric Hayes It's just the highest trim model of the Taurus (SHO). Very sharp :-)
I am15 and yesterday was my 15 and I got a ride in a bugatti limo
lies on a whole new level
+Abbas Syed fuck you bitch
Nohemi Reynoso lol why you mad there are around 400 bugattis in the world and none of them are limos. your clearly not 15 your probably 8
Why lie lmao stop it
CreatedbyLeon this kid is actually 8 and his only reason for the bugatti veyron for being the best car is its the fastest car in the world
No tendría mas sentido con el motor detrás? en el morro el maletero..
I wonder...whats the drivetrain power lost on theses limos?
I'd still buy a used Town Car, not as a limo but as a regular driver. In 2018.
I seriously have no idea what people mean by ugly car. To me this car looks really nice.
