Alright I think I figured this out. She leans forward and down a bit before doing a left hook. It's clearer when you pause to compare the animations
@@charliecouteau8856 I found a guide that had each animation on a loop, and I still chunked it. But I wish you good luck.
I just did it, slight diff, she puts her hand a bit lower and kind of pulls upwards when left up
I came here to get help even though I already knew about the pause trick. I just figured out the difference between left hook and left straight. The animation for her left hook has her right hand more outstretched, its blocked by left stick left. If her right hand is closer to her body, it's left stick up. Good luck all :)

I don't care what anybody says. Two of the animations are identical. But never in my life have I seen a video that helped me so much. Pausing in between attacks?! LIFE SAVER!! You earned a sub.

Left Uppercut = Left analog up
Left down = Left analog side
Left side = Left analog down
Any right side hit = right analog move to the right
Man! Why didn't I realize you could do this. I was frustrated with the UPA quest.

For the hook versus the straight..
Hook she will bend her head down a bit before she pulls back her punch, she will not bend head down for the straight.

I got Shiva too first time. For some reason, she was much easier to me than Dio which took like 5-6 times until I beat him.

That’s because it doesn’t work
It’s very subtle. But one she pulls back and one she pulls from above her head

It's subtle, but the direction of which her eyes are looking tells you up or down on the joy stick, depending on which arm she is using. Thanks for the video!

Just did this. Her left hook and left straight definitely interchange. She did the exact same animation twice in a row and one was her straight and the other was her hook. Oh well, she's done now. Onto Ifrit!

thanks and Shiva took mea few tries but Ifrit only took 2 all that's left is shinra guy from side quest and Sephiroth
whatever move she does one the left first (uppercut or straight) she does it back to back example: straight straight and then up up she always does it like that
and her combos (where she is red) are either left then down or up, right, up

My advice would be to just record the fight on the PS5 and just let the brawlers attack you and take pictures of their movements at that precise time and write which analog motion that pops on the screen on the photos it made it real easy for me to just look at the photos to beat everyone

@@jordanferreira5294 basically what I did was record game play of these fight and went back and screenshot their movements with the direction I need to press on the analog so when i went back all
I did was pause the game and look at the screen shots so I can just counter all

For anyone having trouble with figuring out the difference Shiva’s upper or mid punches I just figured it out.
They look very very similar, one difference is that her head will move slightly up for an upper punch and her head won’t move as much for a mid punch. The animation for the rest of the body is the same.

@@roymariogaming but still. the shiva fight is a joke. even with the pause trick it took like 30 minutes for me because the from above and left punch of her look almost completely the same! BUT ! "the harder" ifrit fight after shiva! second try with pause trick! every move is well to read and this shows how less those japanese guys did not test their own minigames. those minigames with their ridicolous high score really destroying the game for me. remake was super fun with a super fun trophy hunt. but this mini game clown fiesta is just stupid. and now i have to wait till they fixed the g bike bug!

Someone else commented if you look at her eyes it's easier to tell what kind of attack it is. That helped me get her down.
@BrandonWestfall thanks🙏🏼 Yeah, I'll be honest I beat all 6(Including Yuffie( but that night wasn't fun😅😆. I had to raise my tolerance for bs & just embrace skill + luck, so got it)I've done every minigame and have beat a great deal on standard...but since the minigames are so...annoyingly & many irksome w/ bad camera...it's weird😆
@BrandonWestfall what I mean by that is, I...don't think ff7rb can have 1 review score...
A.) Standard Run = 10/10 (Great Story and exploration+)
&
B.) Completionist Run -(there is so much off putting and totally irksome minigames and just bad camera stuff to reasonably deduce 2-2.5 pts imo) so comp run would get a 7.5-8/10
For me, I don't understand why I cannot dodge for the right move. It always said too low.
Left side, up or down all good. Very annoying.
Edit: I was too tired, forgot the right is with the right stick hahahaha😅
Because it doesn’t work
This wasn’t helpful, but I found out what to look for myself, or at least it worked for me.
Look at shivas head.
Straight(Dodge right stick up): Shiva maintains eye contact during windup, move comes out fast.
Shiva Right Hook(Dodge right stick left): Shiva looks down during windup, comes out slower than straight.
The animation seems to be identical otherwise, or at least I couldn’t find a difference. Watched her moveset at 25% speed for 30 Minutes to find it. I am kinda slow to pick up on those things though.
I had no Problems dodging the other attacks.
I know I'm a bit late to the party. I compared her animations next to another to figure out the code:
1.) When you have to press left down, she slides her arm backwards underneath her shoulder
2.) When you have to press left up, she immdiately lifts up her arm
3.) When you have to press left left, she has her arm closer to the ground vs. left up
With pause buffering, it is actually quite easy to defeat her :)

Total crap. My strikes miss 4/5 times and she enters super speed mode with me. You must be on easy.
