The 27 seconds Nate was silent, processing the spelling of latitude & altitude … only to say “you really do just switch the A and the L around” and be supported in his discovery by friends, is why I love this podcast. Thanks to all of you!
As a fellow millennial, I love when Aaron throws in Harry Potter references and watching the older gent’s reactions. Would love to see a Harry Potter episode with Aaron explaining the story and the guys reacting, especially Dusty who would have to spiritually cleanse the room afterwards.
Congrats on 150 episodes. My son was listening with me on the way to school so he quickly calculated that I had basically listened to 13 days of Nateland. Then he asked if I just crave conversation so much that I’ll listen to other people talking to each other.
I remember the very first episode. You three were all so unsure of what this podcast would become, or if you'd even still be doing it past a few episodes. I'm so happy you continue to gain new viewers and bring us this gold every week! Favorite podcast by far, thank you so much! Keep up the great work!
I’m on a trip of a lifetime to Israel and seeing all of the sights… but yet, I’m also here listening about dinosaurs on an episode about concerts on a podcast about comedy. 😅
Been a listener since day one. Just got a new kitten and decided to name him Bear. Every time he peaks his head out of anywhere the whole family of folks get to yell "Hey Bear!", lots of fun. Thanks for all the laughs.
I just started listening a few months ago and I wanted to express how much I appreciate your comedy. Three years ago my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and we decided to surround ourselves with as much laughter as possible. We started watching more 90s sitcoms since there so few good sitcoms/shows today. This eventually led us to find this podcast and your comedy specials. The past few months we have laughed so much together and even cried because we were laughing so hard. My wife is cancer free now and we will see Nate in Evansville next Saturday and Dusty in Bowling Green in November. Thank you for your clean comedy and your funny opinions.
I just clocked him at 21 of them in the first 3 minutes.. that's Uhhh about 7 Uhhhs a minute. Anyways Uhhh 😆 it's hard to keep up in the next minute after that, holy cow
I have trouble sleeping. Lately, When I can’t fall asleep at night I turn on an old Nateland podcast and it knocks me right out! Lol true story. Then I wake up and several hours of episodes have continued to play. You’re welcome for the extra views :) Big fan of your unique comedy and love the podcasts!
There's a huge difference between "I don't know" and "I don't care" when it comes to retail or shopping somewhere. Way too many people just don't care. Keep up the good work fellas, happy Memorial Day!
The “I’ll text ya” comment by Dusty when Aaron said that he wouldn’t think about dinosaurs all day tomorrow was probably top 10 funniest things ever said on this podcast
God bless Nate, Brian, Dusty, and Aaron. I swear like a sailor on half a jar of moonshine but i absolutely love settling in to listen and watch the guys just make jokes. Really lifts my spirits in dark times.
Nate at minute 30: “it could be true that I rant when I get tired” Nate at minute 120: “let me tell you something…there’s too many famous people and they’re ALL alive” Love the show fellas ❤
I also never thought of dinosaurs much until having a son. Now I have ranking of top 3 favorite Dino’s. And must be ready to discuss their skills and abilities at any time
Aaron, I was so relieved when you mentioned Harry Potter during the Basilisk conversation. I was literally yelling, “COME ON AARON!”, waiting for you to reference it. Should’ve know you wouldn’t let me down. The Ultimate Millennial!
Nate’s rant about old bands still touring hit home. I got the chance to see the drifters for my bachelor party… in 2017 and the band started in 1953! I was the youngest one there by at least 4 decades and two band members had to sit during the concert! 😂
I was at the Garth Brooks concert at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge last year and when he played Callin Baton Rouge it registered as an earthquake at the LSU seismograph
To be fair, Bert Kreischer IS the Dunning-Keuger Effect personified. His photo should be beside that word in the Oxford Dic. Also, from Nate's talk about taking over as road manager for Big Jay and the lads,.... sounds like his wife's skill set is rubbing off on him. Love you gents! Cheers!
The humility Nate showed when reading a comment from someone that claimed he didn’t get humor was top notch. Dude’s a millionaire because of his comedy. I think he understands humor just fine.
I introduced my mom to the podcast a few weeks ago and found out she was listening on 1.5x speed. I tried it, and you can’t understand what anybody is saying, except for Nate, who now sounds like a regular person.
I was at the Sunday show in Charleston... 2nd time seeing Nate... I was the big dude Nate pointed to at the end of the show.. I was in a Vandy baseball shirt!!! Congrats on 150!!!!
I'm glad I stayed up for this episode. Dusty, thank you for sharing the exciting news of your Baby Boy here! I'm happy for you and Hannah. I hope everything goes well with Baby and Mom. Congrats to all four of you for all your success! Don't ever do a farewell tour 😂
Aaron being a Guster fan and acknowledging how “fascinating” it is that the Thunder God (drummer Brian Rosenworcel) plays hand drums was a very unexpected surprise. Aaron, just when I think I can’t relate to you more, you drop something like this in the mix. Absolutely fascinating. 😂😂
Congratulations on your 150th episode. After Nate’s tour rant, I find it fitting that the episode was released on Bob Dylan’s 82nd birthday, because Bob Dylan has been on his appropriately named “Never Ending Tour” since June 7, 1988. May Nateland last as long!
Yes! I came here to make this comment. He was 47 when he started the tour and is now 82. As of 2019 he has played over 3,000 shows. Happy Birthday Bob and hey Bear!!!!
Brian saying "New Kids on the Block" was my favorite part of this episode. He enunciated "kids" in such a weird way, I had to go back listen again. That is how I am going to say their name from now on.
Aaron saying "Hot Tuna" when reading off the Jefferson Airplane wikipedia page made my whole day. When I was a kid in the 80s, my dad was into a band called Hot Tuna, and he would play the cassette for me while I danced like crazy and jumped on the bed. Dad was a bit of an "herbalist" back then, so this happened almost daily. The Safari's song, "Surfer Joe" was his jam, and he would sing it while chasing me around the living room with the vacuum. That one reference took me down memory lane.
I wasn’t sure where to send a comment to. Hopefully Bates sees this! I’ve been a natelander since episode 1. I saw him in vail last year and again this week at red rocks. I had the honor to meet Stephen Bargatze as he was saying hey to everyone in the first few rows. He was as wonderful as I’ve heard and my fiancé and I talked to him for a few moments. Made my night before Nate even did! I just want to say how incredible the show was. I couldn’t stop laughing and was brought to happy laughing so hard tears several times. I’d sit in the rain again and again to watch Nate. Plus Nic! 🥲 thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives. You are the greatest American!
Thanks for reading my comment on the logic example involving spiders and scorpions. I loved it when Dusty proceeds to concentrate on the fact that scorpions have eight legs while Aaron tries to focus on the concept being taught. I felt like I was teaching my high school class.
Comedy routines are essentially asking people to join you in a thought experiment, yet when it comes to this topic Nate is confused by what a thought experiment is. Then he proceeds to do a thought experiment about how this theory might have been created 😂.
New years eve 1999, i went to south florida to see Phish at their largest show to date (still). 80,000 attendees on the Seminole Indian Big Cypress reservation. Two nights of music on the 30th and 31st, but the new years show included an early evening set, followed by one that started at 11:50 pm, and did not end until the sun came up on new years day. About 6 and half hours on stage. I was 20 years old and chemically enhanced. Still my best concert experience ever. Also, not sure about this, but i think the garth brooks show at cental park was free. The largest paid US concert was the jam at the glenn in 1973 at watkins glen speedway in NY, with 600k in attendance, allman brothers, grateful dead and the band.
Here’s a quick sports fact that as a local I’m very proud of and I had nothing to do with it. The Cincinnati reds were the first baseball team and would play the first game of every baseball season until the early 2000’s. Also Every little throw away response from Dusty is GOLD. I saw Nate in Cincinnati a few years back and it was amazing. Keep up the great work fellas.
Hey love the show guys! You have helped to weather many storms over the last few years. I think it was the Eagles that started the trend of the Farewell tour.
Like Nate, my first concert was a contemporary Christian artist too….Carman! My parents took me and my sister to see Carman at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis in probably 1990/91. Not as good as a Kid Rock concert…but I will never forget my first concert!
As teen i did crowed surfing for disturbed show and fell and dislocated my shoulder when i fell into mosh pit area and a big skin head helped me up and cleared they way and help me out of mosh pit. Was very thankful
Worked in the food industry and one major tip i can give is when trying a new restaurant ask the server what is the most popular item. For instance going to olive garden and not getting the alfredo or a dish made from there white sauce. That is there signature entree. I don’t eat alfredo anywhere else and there marinara is average at best.
Aaron summed up in one comment, “It’s the most viscous.” Breakfast asked, “what’s that?” Aaron replies, “viscosity.” Using a word no one uses then explains what that word means by using just a different form of the word. Then it turns out he was using the word wrong.
The fact that Bates doesn’t have a fan club called The Breakfast Club seems like a real missed opportunity. I’d love to know if anyone on the podcast was part of any fan clubs when they were younger.
Aaron, I too have inner ear / balance issues that can be triggered by my sleep position. When I was pregnant a few years ago I was on bed rest for about 60 days and ended up with vertigo because I was laying on my side so much. Ever since then I have had to be careful about how I turn my head when I’m laying down. Just wanted to back you up on this since it sounded bizarre to everyone else on the show!

I’ve lived in Colorado almost my whole life and I’ve never been to Red Rocks. Seeing you there would have been the best, first time! Unfortunately the tickets were a bit out of our price range this time around. Hopefully there will be another opportunity down the road. Have an amazing show!
Believe it or not, the Roku Bassilisk thing came up for me this week. I'm in a strategic foresight class working on my Night College Masters, and someone posited that AI is demonic. I was glad I had Dusty's stance to back me up. I'm sure it made an impact in the education of a dozen leaders and their futures.
I just rewatched this episode. I am having a robot assist partial knee replacement in 4 days. I had to have several CT scans to that the company could make the prosthetic and then the robot helps cut the bone down precisely to allow the prosthetic to be fitted, it is more exact and precise than if the surgeon does it alone and takes out some of the human error. and is supposed to help with less residual tissue damage and a smaller incision. I'll let you know if it feels like it afterwards!
Only the Nateland podcast can go from discussing the takeover of AI to discussing which condiment they could drink within the same sentence 😂 and that's why it's the best podcast out there!
Hey Bear! My favorite steak sauce is Country Bob. I kept waiting for Dusty to mention it since I usually find myself agreeing with what he says. But he let me down this time. Love the podcast thank you for making my work day a lot more fun!
@ 1:54:20 - Last year, my family and I went to a Chattanooga Lookouts game that was supposed to be followed by a huge Fireworks display (I know, this isn't the same as Paul McCartney, Springsteen & Elton John). The game went into extra innings and the City of Chattanooga has an ordinance that doesn't allow Fireworks after 11pm. We kept watching the time and the game kept going. When the game went after 11pm, they came over the PA system and said that the fireworks display wouldn't happen because of the ordinance. Half the crowd left with people yelling, cursing, kids crying, etc. It was pandemonium!
My dad was in a band that played on the Opry and at Opryland every week. So I grew up around a lot of different musicians and met a lot of the 90's and early aughts country stars. I have no idea what my first concert because I was around it all the time since I was born... I do remember going to see Skynrd in middle school, which was a wild environment for a 12 year old to be around...
I was at The Who concert in Tampa. My buddy got tickets for my birthday and we drove 5 hours to go the show, sat through the opener, and then seconds into the first song it was over. Sadly we weren’t able to make it to the make up date later in the year. Such a bummer.
The bachelorette party situation was insane on the Saturday of Nate’s show! Charleston’s shops, restaurants and walkways are narrow and quaint which isn’t ideal for large parties. Nate’s show was amazing though! I had a guy in my row who had to leave four times during the show. Nate’s joke about using the restroom at night prompted a fifth time. Our row was expecting it.
Congrats not only on 150 episodes, but consistently dropping a new episode every Wednesday since the start.
Unbelievable idea!
Yes! Brian needs to make this happen!
Aaron’s confidence in putt putt is rivaled only by his confidence in doughnut eating. If you know you know.
36
Hopefully he's actually good at putt putt because his performance in donut eating was sub par
Seriously. He should stick to donut holes (in one).
Aaron giving us an example of the donny-kruger effect
Congrats on 150 episodes. My son was listening with me on the way to school so he quickly calculated that I had basically listened to 13 days of Nateland. Then he asked if I just crave conversation so much that I’ll listen to other people talking to each other.
As a office worker sent home to work, absolutely true for me!
Congratulations Dusty!! 🎉

Watching Aaron & Dusty try not to laugh when the other one is reading an ad has become my most favorite part of the podcast.
Not only was this the 150th episode, it also marked a milestone for Nate by saying Uuhhhhh 1 million times
I just clocked him at 21 of them in the first 3 minutes.. that's Uhhh about 7 Uhhhs a minute. Anyways Uhhh 😆 it's hard to keep up in the next minute after that, holy cow
@Amea-111 oh ya, and I love Nate but it's honestly just distracting how much he does that, especially in the beginning of the episodes
Dusty... add some claws to your fingers and let's get this surgery on the way!!!. Don't worry, we're having a good time
Sounds like it's time for a Nateland Minature Golf Tournament!
That's a great idea!

150th episode and I got my comment read for the first time! woo hoo! And, yes, Ike Spoor is my real name.
God bless Nate, Brian, Dusty, and Aaron. I swear like a sailor on half a jar of moonshine but i absolutely love settling in to listen and watch the guys just make jokes. Really lifts my spirits in dark times.

That moment before the camera comes into focus and I hopefully wait to see all four of the regular guys.
Truer words have never been spoken.
Congrats Dusty!
I was at the Garth Brooks concert at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge last year and when he played Callin Baton Rouge it registered as an earthquake at the LSU seismograph
1st concert was Bob Seger with my parents, Georgia Satellites opened, it was awesome

Congratulations Dusty!
Name suggestion: Billy Ray Slay
..all those y’s…😂
The humility Nate showed when reading a comment from someone that claimed he didn’t get humor was top notch. Dude’s a millionaire because of his comedy. I think he understands humor just fine.
Nate: who is coming up with this?? I need to be running these think tanks.
Also Nate 10 seconds later: I am the opposite of the Dunning-Kruger effect
I introduced my mom to the podcast a few weeks ago and found out she was listening on 1.5x speed. I tried it, and you can’t understand what anybody is saying, except for Nate, who now sounds like a regular person.
1.25 is the perfect blend 😂
I was at the Sunday show in Charleston... 2nd time seeing Nate... I was the big dude Nate pointed to at the end of the show.. I was in a Vandy baseball shirt!!! Congrats on 150!!!!
A-1 sauce is literally the scariest development of our modern age. Terrifying. We seriously need to be paying more attention to this issue..

I’m seeing Pearl Jam for the second time in September. I got secondhand psyched when Nate casually mentioned he met Ed Vedder a few episodes back.
My concert review at 40….« there was nowhere to sit »
Thanks for reading my comment on the logic example involving spiders and scorpions. I loved it when Dusty proceeds to concentrate on the fact that scorpions have eight legs while Aaron tries to focus on the concept being taught. I felt like I was teaching my high school class.
300 of the greatest hours ever! Looking forward to the next 300 hours!
Breakfasts cues for ad reads are *chefs kiss
I know y'all were listing things but it sound like:
Aaron: And the dude from gladiator
Dusty: Yeah, Steve Buscemi
That's so crazy Aaron! My first concert was Guster also. The Georgia Theater in Athens, freshman year at UGA
1:57:45 Bruce Spris is to Nate as Bay Sannas is to Dusty.
Happy 150! 🎉
Comedy routines are essentially asking people to join you in a thought experiment, yet when it comes to this topic Nate is confused by what a thought experiment is. Then he proceeds to do a thought experiment about how this theory might have been created 😂.
I love that Brian knows what slam dancing is

Hey love the show guys! You have helped to weather many storms over the last few years. I think it was the Eagles that started the trend of the Farewell tour.
Aaron is pretty bold to throw words like viscosity around when he didn’t know what a merry-go-round was a few episodes ago.
Like Nate, my first concert was a contemporary Christian artist too….Carman! My parents took me and my sister to see Carman at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis in probably 1990/91. Not as good as a Kid Rock concert…but I will never forget my first concert!
😂😂 “Like an enchilada thing but it’s hard” is called a flauta. Flauta literally translates to flute in english. Love this podcast
No way! My comment got read on the podcast! I am so exited! You guys rock.
As teen i did crowed surfing for disturbed show and fell and dislocated my shoulder when i fell into mosh pit area and a big skin head helped me up and cleared they way and help me out of mosh pit. Was very thankful
Hello Folks and Hey Bear 🐻
Nate might be the best clean comic to ever do it.
I love Dusty- "they are demons." 😂😂 0:00
Y’all need to expand the animal fights into a hunger games type format
Worked in the food industry and one major tip i can give is when trying a new restaurant ask the server what is the most popular item. For instance going to olive garden and not getting the alfredo or a dish made from there white sauce. That is there signature entree. I don’t eat alfredo anywhere else and there marinara is average at best.
" I do that with my teeth sometimes" 😂😂 0:00
Did Aaron just say the jerk reflex is when humans were primates, living in trees, to stop from falling out of the tree.😮
Same here Aaron. Vestibular issues are no fun.
My first concert was Carmen in the late 90s. My dad's a pastor. Nate is a 100% right 90s Christian parents are the most Christian.
My Dad is a Pastor too and my first concert was also Carmen in the late 80's as a little kid. I also saw Michael W. Smith and D.C. Talk around that time as well. In the mid to late 90s it was Third Day, Audio Adrenaline and Newsboys. Good times!!! 😁
@@reallyjulie I wish I could have seen dc talk
Brian your sweater is🔥
Great marketing! 🙌🏼
I think Nate was talking about flautas. That's my favorite thing from Hello Fresh as well.
You guys are awesome ❤
Thought experiment is also a great description of the Nateland Podcast
Nate saying Ike is short for Mike is great lol
Nates face after Aaron read that explanation was priceless
Hey Bear! My favorite steak sauce is Country Bob. I kept waiting for Dusty to mention it since I usually find myself agreeing with what he says. But he let me down this time. Love the podcast thank you for making my work day a lot more fun!
“Hours of wisdom!” 😄

Red Rocks tonight!!! I am so excited!!
Congratulations Dusty! You should name your boy Worf, after Nate's brother. 😁
Nate disputing the Dunning Krueger effect is the very definition of the Dunning Krueger effect
Is Nate trying to set a Guinness world record for saying the word “uhh” this episode? Lol
"Some dinosaurs were reptiles, and some were birds."
Just wait until Dusty finds out birds are reptiles.
Best comment of the episode - peeling the grape with the robot, Dusty says, "I do that with my teeth sometimes."
Nate saying ‘I think it’s short for Mike’ was gold and no one caught it 🤣🤣
Nate: What are people going to do for jobs?
Brian: Stand-up comedy.

The lead singer of "Fear", Lee Ving, also played "Mr. Boddy" in the movie Clue
I was at The Who concert in Tampa. My buddy got tickets for my birthday and we drove 5 hours to go the show, sat through the opener, and then seconds into the first song it was over. Sadly we weren’t able to make it to the make up date later in the year. Such a bummer.
The Virginia Beach show was so fun! But-man it WAS hot!😂😅
