Thanks for the video. On my 2023 Y the headlight seems not to be properly fitted as there is quite a big gap at the top left edge of the headlight and the panel (kind of like what you were saying at 8:54, mine needs to go up a little more).
Just put a left head light in new light model 3 matrix light. Had todo the ecu update to get it to come on. Problem I have now is it is shining way high. Went to calibration it moves around as you hit the calibration but when it goes to where you can select left and right. Right one will move up and down but left one I installed does nothing will not adjust any ideas or help would be appreciated
@@Tlsz1_8331 No just replaced one matrix with new one. You can replace with matrix lights but must replace both at same time and do software update on them. ECU update for ecu on new lights.
Excellent video by the way, this will surely help. Was that all that was needed for the BMS portion of the headlight installation? Just need to go into service mode etc.? Also for another video look at your library but did you already do one front bearings on our Raul Drive long range model three?
Yes, that was all I had to do was push a software update. I have not done a video on wheel bearings. I started with cars from the salt region and none of those went smoothly there were curse words and throwing, so I couldn't post the video, lol. Do you always have to reprogram the headlight ECU even if it comes from a same year model? Can I put the ECU from my original headlight into a used one and it’ll be good to go without reprogramming? My “brow light” is out on my passenger M3 headlight. Figured a used one would be cheaper than a $1,209 Tesla replacement.
Any ECU not from the car will need to have software redeployed, but it is easy now. Yes you can swap over the original ECU to the new headlight. I would avoid used ones as it may be minutes away from unsoldering the LED like the one you have has done. I had to replace driver side headlight, but the Iman signal don’t work and I’ve tried it on two different headlights. Is there something I have to reset on the computer and how do I do that?

I have a 2022 Tesla model y Performance, my driver side, low beam high beam light is not working, 1 - can I just replace the light bulb? 2- is it replaceable? or is it welded and sealed with the main complete head light assembly? 3- your video shows the bulb is attached with the ECU, so it’s a one piece welded with the ECU and the light bulb as one unit/ one piece? Where can I buy the ECU/ light bulb unit from? What is the best brand and quality as in up to date? at least as good as the OEM or better specs and lasts longer or with a life time warranty? Where can I buy it from, what should I be searching for? I tried searching in UA-cam and online, but not enough information, or clear picture about this subject matter! Thank you for your help again! and yeah, once I have the part, where can I get it done to have it installed? I’m in the Los Angeles area in California.

I believe you already have to have matrix headlights in order to replace them with matrix headlights. The ECU on your old headlights will have to be transferred over to the new ones. Once installed, then you use Service Mode to reinstall the software of the headlights.

It’s good but what about the sensor for bumper
If you remove the bumper, disconnect the wiring harness on the passenger side, otherwise this little movement is not an issue.
