I have 2020 Model 3 Performance; do these lights emit more light than my OEM headlights?
Great job Alex. You made it look easy. 2 questions… I’m assuming these lights don’t flash “Tesla” when you turn on the light show & just curious why you need to run a positive & negative to the battery when it’s plugged into OEM harness. Is this light that much more powerful? Ty
the light is much brighter and more powerful! They do not flash Tesla
An owner said these are dimmer than OEM headlights. Do you have a Lumens comparison between the AlphaRex and OEM?
Not true! These are 33.4% brighter!

Yes they are! Manual adjustment built into the back of the headlight
Most recent Tesla software update seems to be a problem for these lights which is hugely frustrating!
That's exactly what happens to mine now. After the latest update, I have lost power to both headlights. Do you know what can be done

@@TSportline thanks but I just took it to my mechanic and put the original headlights back on. After market light is not worth the trouble I had to drive two days without having operating headlight and front signal was also not working can’t just wait another month for the fix or update I even called Tesla and they won’t look at this since it’s after market
I did not have another car and had to drive my own

This supports the DRL led, it provides a more stable power source. But it doesn't use power when it is off.

Installed mine and loving it, the left (driver side) beam pattern is lower than right side during night drive, is that intended?
Yes, that is intentional since the lights are brighter, dont wanna blind people on the other side of the road!
Show us the difference in illumination. How many lumens on high beam v's OEM high beam? Looks like the OEM lights have more evenly distributed light.
I upgraded and the lights are awesome! I have an error in service mode for both headlights.

Any specs? Every trusted headlight manufacturer (morimoto for example) has specs listed. Lumen, candela, wattage, power, operating temperature, input voltage, etc... for low and high beams.
The high power LED produces a 6000K light output and an outstanding projection. These headlights are equipped with a quad (4) projector design, with all four projectors working as low beam and the outer two projectors functioning as high beams. Specifications

what is the long wire going to the battery? is that long wire coming from the headlights to the battery?

But: What are the advantages of the new headlights? I really can't see any improvements with the beam pattern. Maybe an A/B comparison would be helpful or maybe more convincing. Ok sequential turn signal is nice to have, but...

Can you guys test a new highland headlight into an older matrix 3? Would love to know if the configuration would let it function without custom configuring. Kind of want to do a highland front end conversion.
The left light has already segment misalignment not really high quality then if not able to adjust individual square light elements inside the light?
they can be adjusted as needed, however the left light will always be lower to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.
Do you have something similar for Model S ?

What fog lights are those?

@@TSportlineUm... these are not the same lights. The fog lights in the video look like two light tubes or fiber whereas the lights on the link you provided are 5 sequential LEDs.

So when I drive into a Tesla stealership for any service and they see all these additions.. headlights.. new dash displays, new steering wheel etc… is my warranty voided?? Obviously as owners not leasees we don’t have time to take this stuff on and off every time.
No! Federal Law prohibits such actions
Federal Warranty Law: The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))
The Magnuson-Moss Act regulates that vehicle manufacturers may NOT refuse warranty repairs merely because aftermarket parts have been installed on the vehicle. The only circumstance under which the vehicle manufacturer can void the warranties is when they can prove the aftermarket part is directly responsible for (ie causes the warranty) the warranty claim.

These are for USA spec.

What are all those weird looking pipe frames on the front of your Model-3
That is our overland Model Y and that is a Bulbar on the front that we have in early production

Did you have to remove the bumper? Seems like it skipped that part when you have to remove bolts for the bumper.
bumper is simply lowered down once the bolts are removed. super easy!
Are there no bottom bolts/screws?
