@@PalmettoStateArmoryVideos Please hurry. My suppressor for .300 BO is bugging me to get a JAKL ... especially with a setting to not allow the action to cycle after firing. 😁
This thing is so dope. it's like an actual ARAK -- long stroke piston AR that based off the AK operating system and not tweaking the AR operating system
This setting is actually the total opposite of the JAKL rifle I got. When I disassembled the gas block I found that the holes were punched the opposite way comparing to the gas block on Palmetto state website. and also when you think about the function of the the holes and where it should be to allow more/less gas, it is simple physics. It is a good rifle, but I did not expect something like this to slip out of PSA QC.
I agree I have several PSA products that have never disappointed me!! On my channel there's a picture of a 1 moa 5 shot group I shot with my gen3 AR 10 at 100 yards with some basic Federal 7.62x51mm nato.
Brought my 10.5 Jakl to the range for the first time today. I was running TuLa 5.56 ( If that works, your rifle can shoot everything 😂) Position 2 from factory will not eject TuLa Position 1 was good but only for 1 round. The next round will not chamber. After 20 something rounds everything started to work as normal. Rifle was lube the night before and magazines are brand new. Overall recoil is good. The weight towards the front helps a lot for follow up shoots.
Same here, but I didn’t keep putting rounds down range. I stopped at about 20 having to cycle the bolt after each round. Using Remington out of the box during a qualification break. In hindsight, I don’t think I had built up enough carbon to seal the gas block. I’ll give it another go next week.
If the suppressor gas knob is installed on the most open setting can you still shoot 55 grain ball ammo unsuppressed? Or do you have to switch knobs every time you want to use a suppressor?
I can't get mine to cycle with any ammo. I bought the PSA upper build kit to turn the milspec Ar15 lower into a jakl lower. JAKL upper on an aero lower. It will not cycle with steel .223, pmc brass .223 or 5.56 nato m855. It's like a bolt action. I tried all the gas settings with the normal gas key that comes with it. Any ideas? Sound like I need to send it in for work. I just didn't want to send it in, my AKV had issues and that took 2 months to get back.
Took my 10.5 556 JAKL out to the range yesterday. Was running green tip 62 grain and tried running it in positon two and kept getting failure to eject or failure to feed. A buddy told me that i need to be using gen3 magpul to help with the cycling process. Any tips?
My 300blk doesn't cycle any factory subsonic ammo without a suppressor attached, even on the highest gas setting. Is that normal? Kinda annoying, especially when I'm shooting multiple guns at the range that share the suppressor. Sometimes I want to just shoot the jakl without needing to take a hot suppressor off another gun and put it on the jakl.
I’d like to get one so I can tear it apart and see if it can be reversed engineered, swap barrels for different calibers and length. Can a stand alone upper fit on a mil spec lower? What would have to happen to the existing buffer system on said lower?
If it's anything like their biggest rival, the BRN-180, yeah. I think they use a block plate over the buffer tube.. easy enough to make a plug out of a chunk of delrin.
Lets say this standard adjustment plug has holes at '2mm then 4mm then 6mm. ect.. at position 1,2 and 3.. ect...... You should make another adjustment plug that has holes in between each of those--- being 1mm, 3mm and 5mm ect....... That way it's like a fine tune for your rifles. Just in case your original holes aren't quite matching ammo pressures. It would be a very easy part to sell extra... (obviously I'm just using simple numbers, and there won't be a 6mm gas port hole. lol). But you get the point. Make a part that has hole sizes that are in between your standard part. Maybe you won't sell many of them or even need it. But it would be a great option to buy if someone wants to fine tune the rifle. If it was automatically included, that would be even better. and THAT way, people couldn't complain about it being over gassed or under gassed --- since they could easily swap out the tuner adjustment plug with slightly different holes and it's sure to work well. cheers
I just wanna see the price. I want one. I'll get one. I just need to know how much ramen I need to buy in the meantime. Oh. And a 16" barrel version with a folding triangle stock?
My gas piston keeps eating the roll pin in the bolt there for making the jakl worthless...if I could get this fixed I believe it would be a kick ass fire arm.....
I agree!! ... They could add it to the "tuner plug"... Lets say this standard adjustment plug has holes at '2mm then 4mm then 6mm. ect.. at position 1,2 and 3.. ect...... You should make another adjustment plug that has holes in between each of those--- being 1mm, 3mm and 5mm ect...... (and an OFF option also, as you said). @@calholli actually bud.. it's roughly a 4mm hole in the gas plug of an Adam's arms. Rotating and locking the plug changes how much of the hole is available for gas to enter. Now, multiple hole plugs range from "holy shit that's tiny" to, well, a 4mm "this shit is dirty" size.
@@PureCountryof91 RIght.. That makes it continually variable.. but also harder for some people to fine tune it back to where it was.. At least with the holes, they are fixed, and you're not slightly creeping it open or closed... I'm not sure which one I like better.... I know that the old FAL's are kinda like that too, and have continuous adjustment
@@calholli as a civilian owner, with access to a variety of ammunition, we should have highly adjustable settings. Just because you or myself for instance may run wolf in one sitting, federal in another, and then some hot as balls m855 another time. But, I gotta say, the Adams arms solutions worked. With .308 no less. I would like a 75%~ setting, but it's adequate for even weak steel case. So, the single hole method is alright in my experience with silver bear, wolf, and federal, even IWI stuff was no issue. Just, more tuning would allow shooters to really tailor their gas settings for maximum reliability, and comfort.
@@PureCountryof91 Yeah.. I get it. but that also makes some people scratch their heads because they can't figure it out. They need something that's more dummy proof-- where it has 'set settings. But I'm with you, I'd rather have the adjustability; the good thing about the JAKL is, all you have to do is get a different plug with a different set of adjustments.

Yall have done so much for the 2A community.
This company holds one of the greatest keys in it’s research, development, and final engineering…..that key, is innovation.
Great job with the customer interactions and getting information out there.
Thanks! We are trying our best!
Good info i was wondering about the positions! Taking the Jakl out to the range tomorrow for the first time!
Im in love with the jakl everything u want in 1 gun, hopefully 1 day i could own it 300 blackout
That's what I am waiting on

The ARAK 21 from faxon?

Well now I need that AK poster
Can't wait!

It's already out my dude.
There out. I picked mine up today

Are the newer (July/Aug 2023 13.7”) gas blocks setup to turn the opposite way? When I took it apart it looks like the holes go in the other direction.

What's the time frame on a 300blk upper only? Couple months? 2023?
Folding charging handle? Preferably with the ability to place one on both sides to make it fully ambidextrous?
Will these be available with chrome lined barrels,

Off setting for the .300 Blk would be cool tool or i'll just weld a hole up
how hot the handgaurd get for yall during testing? handwrap recommended similar to brn180?
After a few hundred rounds it was definitely starting to get toasty LOL
