Excellent components choices, guys. Really impressed with what we can see thus far on these!
Make them ambidextrous!!!!
We bought a Argos Ordnance SPR and our first impressions are that it's a fantastically built rifle! We were super impressed by the attention to detail throughout the build!
I have two of these systems. One on a PSA 16" 5.56 and the other on a PSA 20" 6.5 Grendal. Griffin gate-lok muzzle devices for Griffin 30-SD can. Like that quick, no guess gas adjustment.
How does this work with long handguards? I have a 15 inch handguard
@@Rocksteady713 Meant to say gas system length and handguard length.
15 is a bit too long..Stick to 13 inch..@@Rocksteady713
Ive been wanting a Riflespeed gas block for my 6mm ARC. And glad you mentioned yall can hard pin it as well. Now just need a price to do the package deal of purchasing the riflespeed and hardpin at the same time! Insert meme of FRY from Futurama saying "Shut up and take my money"🤣
I've used adjustable gas blocks in the past including the Riflespeed one. The one thing I recommend is to set up the gas block with the rifle at a 45 degree as if you had a red dot at a 45 degree.
I had set up my gas block with the rifle perfectly upright and it was perfect until I did some drills with the offset red dot and it would not hold open on the last round. I had to open up the gas block a few more clicks and it worked perfect and I didn't notice any recoil differences.
what does your red dot have to do with gas blocks? wtf is this comment
@@albanfisher6857 lol agreed, doesn't make sense at all
He’s saying if the rifle is canted at 45 degrees when shooting, as in shooting from odd positions, or when using an offset red dot, it changes the way the rifle reacts and it needs more gas. That’s also why for “duty” use, you go up another setting….much higher likelihood of firing in odd shooting positions in real world over punching paper at the range.
chad is such a chad. and i love that you guys tune them to run full power 5.56. i can't stand the people who say "if it don't run steel it doesn't deserve brass" that is such a stupid thing to say - if a rifle runs the lowest powered 223 ammo, when you run full pressure 5.56 it's going to be stupidly overgassed. great to see builders going the right direction on that. and i like how this adjustable gas block has such a wide range of settings, and each click up or down is such a small increment so that you can really fine tune it. i've previously steered away from adjustable gas blocks because you find that one moment it's undergassed and the tiniest adjustment makes it overgassed. these small increments are nice letting you really dial it in perfectly. that thing is awesome
Excellent cammo job on the tank in the background!
Great video.
Thanks.
Cant wait to see how these gas systems work and upper in general on a meltdown
Coming soon 😇
You kno as someone that got chance to meet you guys and getting opportunity to truly understand what you guys are about/ beliefs. I have no interest in owning an AR. Ak all the way. But because its one you are building Chad. I will end up getting one as my one and only AR
Love the idea of the Riflespeed AGB. Don't like the price. That said, I'm buying one to try out. If I do that, the retail price of my "modern Mk12" will come to $3300. Luckily my fiancè has no idea just how much I spend on gun stuff lol.
if you are worried about her finding out, let me save you some time, find another. :)
@@godsdozer it was a joke lol
I love my Rifle Speed AGB!!!😃
I love the Rifle Speed adj gas block, it makes all the others obsolete. The one concern I have is the controls are a little too easy to turn, so I added a second adjustment spring to the first and it was perfect..
Where does the excess gas go?
It restricts the gas, not expel it..@@Scooter_cash
Component choice is top notch
That's a sick gas system.
I was very interested with this gb when it came out. Since then I stopped running an adjustable gb. I'm running a bcm upper, criterion/bcm headspaced bcg, cmt rail. With a v5a2/springco green.
That is what I like, Full Power.
Fast and heavy rounds.
Nice!
Looks great I might need to pick one up soon. Do you think you might start building AR 10s?
Yes, I have plans to offer R/Series AR10s (that will actually work out of the box) hopefully later this year. Will be getting other small frame cartridges up and running before that though. 6ARC and 300BLK namely.
Awsome
Imma save up this summer and get one 🤙🫡
First Argos rifle I've seen. Great collection of manufactures installed for sure. What would this rig set me back??
Carbine for $1700, pistol for $1550, 18 inch spr for $1750
Hell yeah..
The Riflespeed Gas Control is amazing. Best in the industry... 🤗🥰🤙🪖🙏🇺🇲
Nice
استمر ❤❤
Chad, do You Dig the Keymo mount?
Chad, are you doing anything to the barrel & bolt interface to increase accuracy of these rifles? I vaguely remember a video you did about accuratizing the bolt/barrell lock up and bedding to increase the accuracy of an AR.....
I shim and/or bed the barrels in place in all these rigs. The tight fit provides a marketed improvement in accuracy potential.
I gotta have it
Will it work with the super 42 with h3 buffer
Can you do an mp5 melt down as well as a ptr91 meltdown?
Chad! Awesome work! Just curious how this might affect dissipater rifles? Thanks for what you’re doing, if I hit the big bucks I’ll invest heavily. I love to see Georgia build Georgia!
You can absolutely use a Riflespeed on a Dissipator. You’d likely need to run a shorter plunger to provide more gas to the system due to the reduced dwell time; but it can made to work. Thanks!
If you make an 11.5 or 13.7 upper pinned and welded with YHM sRx flash hider I'd buy it.
Does this reach far enough under 15inch hand guard
So did you (iraqveteran8888) ever make the video showing us the max potential of a 7.62x39 ?? It's like you mentioned that you were going to be coming out with one for us 7.62x39 ppl don't leave us hanging brother and God bless
Meltdow test on the XM7
I want a block that I can shut the gas off almost entirely supressed. Thiso still seems to cycle the action even all the way down on light loads. I am guessing 300 blk subsonics its going to eject.
How long is your barrel and hand guard??
Where was that adjustable gas block before the semi automatic weapon ban in Washington State 😢I really want one!
Why does Chad looks like a College TA with the hat and Glasses 😂😂
Science!
What if you run all the way up to setting 12 ?
So basically you adapted the FAL gas adjustment system. Don't get me wrong. It's a great idea. Someone should have done this a long time ago.
The FAL vents gas and the Rifle Speed restricts it..Different designs..
Make then dual ambidextrous lowers for all items. Bolt release and mag release. Then I’ll buy one.
I’ll be offering billet versions with right side bolt release and ambi mag releases in the future.
Is your ar a 16inch
Any gun smiths in in the comments I got an issue. I was cleaning my Glock 19 gen 4 and when I went to go put the slide back on the recoil spring pushed through the hole and is sticking out the front end of the gun
Can you use this with a 350 legend upper?
Between the gas control itself and the wide variety of plungers available to fine tune, absolutely. The Riflespeed can be made to work perfectly with any cartridge, barrel length, gas system combo out there.
Adjustable gas blocks only fix over gassed not under gassed people i feel like that should be a disclaimer at the beginning of every glass block video
Correct. That said, it is a LOT cheaper to drill up than it is to "drill it smaller"
But even with a nicely gassed rifle, it is nice to have the ability to tweak the setting because of steel ammo, suppressors, etc.
This happened to me until one of my buddies told me to put his suppressor on and bam it worked flawlessly.
Yep, I have a stag arms 300 blackout, wont shoot subs without my can. Finally called Stag Arms and they said they send their pistols out to run only supers. Got to get the hole opened up to .095.
What’s that muzzle device? I know it’s Dead Air
Nvm, it's a keymo
Forward Controls Design 6315KM. Standard on these rifles.
@@ArgosOrdnance Thanks Chad!
Start at setting 5, then you can go up or down accordingly. Quicker.
Would you use that gun in a combat .
It is setup for duty use, so yes.
Thanks it looks like a great gun, I seen it on that little girls show
Just get a few PWS’s and call it good.
What weight buffer?
We set these rifles up for use with a standard carbine buffer and White standard power Sprinco spring. With the Riflespeed block, there is no need for heavy buffers to tame the system.
@@ArgosOrdnance Thank you for the feedback.
I ask because I have a preference for the Guiselle super 42 buffer spring and run an H1 in all my ARs now, but I don't run suppressors at this time due to lack of tuning knowledge in regards to that process, and I think the rifle speed devices are slick as snot, one of my fellow ranger buddies put one on his personal weapon and running a Franklin binary trigger and using it for that reason.
But I look forward to getting my hands on one of your builds
No need for buffers that are heavier than the carbine weight if the rifle is gassed correctly..Heavier buffers do not effect dwell time (bolt lock time) they only effect carrier velocity..The heavier the buffer the more perceived recoil..@@jw5297
How rigid is that adjuster? I feel like in adverse conditions it could get moved somewhat easily. Just my thoughts though, I run a poor build so I have no clue about this stuff 🤣
It feels loose on the higher settings when new, but it’s never come out of position, especially once a little carbon gets built up.
You can run two springs and it will be very difficult to turn. Probably overkill. I just use the one spring it comes with and I’ve never had mine adjust accidentally in many thousands of rounds of hard use in the field.
Take my money
Lol you should always run 2rounds to see if it chamber’s another round
I like the close up and pictures , for visual aid .
Very informative
Only thing I would have done differently is have a full mag , instead of having to instal one round at a time 😅
I think he was loading one at a time to check if the bolt was locking back on an empty mag.
That would literally defeat the purpose. He's looking for bolt lockback.
Your videos aren’t showing up in my feed. Going to be more intentional in finding them.
I miss FPS Russia
Unga bunga
Sounds expensive
They’re MPI tested? Do you mean that they are “high pressure tested” and “magnetic particle inspected?” Further, the second is basically nullified by not doing the first. So if they’re not doing the high pressure testing, the magnetic particle inspection is a waste of money…
I believe most bolts re mpi tested now
Who is this short haired civilian? Powder makes rifle videos now??
Do y'all plan on killing your own rails and receivers or going to use components by others in the manufacturing of your rifles?? Would be nice to have a company do turnkey assemble if the best components from selected manufacturers.....
Terrible customer service, I got the pinned CHF barrel package. If you shoot 556 you don't need this. Waste of money, maybe for 300blk only.
Grow your hair back
No assault weapons, please
No such thing.
@@kevinsharpe9388 What are them for in the US?
How much to pin a rifle speed gas block??
Patiently waiting for a chrome lined hbar meltdown
A centurion barrel meltdown......
