Searched all over for a more detailed updated Kia Sorento review and it was just what I was looking for. I just purchased a 2021 LX model but this one has a lot of similar features. You definitely knocked this one right out of the park with an on-point excellent review!🔥🙏🏽
@@CarsWithSteve I love the quietness and comfort of it all. The ride is smooth and I really like all the drive mode options! It's a HUGE step up from my previous 2013 Kia Sorento LX!!!
@@CarsWithSteve Very much enjoying the Sorento and yes, first time Kia owner. Quite impressed with just about everything: overall looks, performance, features, ride quality and room. I traded in a 2012 Rogue S; it couldn't hold a candle to the Sorento.
@@virtual_hooligan380 It's interesting how undervalued some import brands are. I was just in a 2022 Kia Carnival and couldn't believe the tech that's in it at that price point Enjoy it!
That makes sense. I looked at actual reviews/test of the forward collision assistant, and some instances did not work, for 😂example , when car cut in from other lanes and brake checks 😢 .
Yeah I haven't built up the courage to test out all the safety features in a dealership demo haha but the sudden brake check would make sense. Not many safety systems could avoid that unfortunately..
Thank you! It's been interesting so far. I haven't really scratched the surface of what other manufacturers offer but it's neat seeing what other cars are out there
Hi Steve, thanks! Is the front collision assistant will actually apply brakes if needed? Or just “sounds the alarm”? Also, at low speed, like 3-5mph, will the collision warning kick in, will car apply brakes to prevent car to roll into the car front of it? Like at red lights where car is in D, but driver does not apply enough brake so can rolls into the car in the front?
It would apply the brakes to prevent/lessen the effects of a frontal crash with a vehicle or pedestrian. Forward collision is there but if you don't have the auto hold setting turned on, haven't come to a complete stop and continue to roll forward you'd hit someone
So many. Reverse sensing system, the option for forward, blind spot monitoring, option for smart cruise control. The newer ones have better tech, the option for 360 cameras etc
The 2024 EX has quite a bit of standard tech: - blind spot system - Forward Collision-Avoidance - Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance - Rear parking sensors - Lane Keeping Assist - Lane Follow Assist - Rear Occupant Alert - Smart key with push button start - Heated Side View Mirrors - Heated Front Seats - 12.3-inch Touchscreen Display w/ Navigation - 12.2-inch Instrument Display - 6 speakers - Wireless Phone Charger and a boatload more. Best bet to look at all the options that are different between trim levels is to look at the spec section on the Kia website for your country.
Must be the only video giving cargo dimensions in inches instead of just volume! Really needed this, thank you!
You’re welcome! It’s so weird manufacturers don’t have the actual measurements.. who measures their gear in volume? Haha

Awesome, great that the video helped! How are you liking the new car so far?

Wow just a bit of a change. Must have had a great experience with the last one to upgrade it! Hope you love the new one!
I just bought a 21 EX one week ago. You taught me more about my vehicle than my sales rep (and he did a pretty good job). Nicely done.
Thanks so much! How are you enjoying the Sorento so far? First time in a Kia?

Got this car a week ago I love it
Congrats Jen! Is it your first time in a Kia?

Great job on this vid. Are you enjoying reviewing other cars besides Fords and Lincolns?
Thank you! It's been interesting so far. I haven't really scratched the surface of what other manufacturers offer but it's neat seeing what other cars are out there
Great overview, authentic. Cheers.
Thanks!
I think when you do these reviews, one of the most important things are the safety features.
I'll add in a bit more mentioning of the safety features in future videos
Great job mate 👍
Thanks Ismail!
Steve, can you make a review for KIA SEDONA 2021 please? thank you. will send this review to my wife :)
That's a great idea! I'll add it to the list of videos to shoot. What trim level of the vehicle are you looking at?

Does it have an automatic folding mirrors?
Power folding side view mirrors are available on the EX+ and SX trim levels of the Sorento
@@CarsWithSteve Really? On Kia website I can see that it’s only available on the SX prestige. :(
Ah the EX+ is a Canada exclusive trim. It’s available EX+ and up in Canada and then you’re right... SX and up in the USA
Is the width of the cargo space (44”) between the wheel wells or at the widest point?
That's between the wells! I've started including widest point and between wells in my latest videos
Safety features?
So many. Reverse sensing system, the option for forward, blind spot monitoring, option for smart cruise control. The newer ones have better tech, the option for 360 cameras etc
What is included in the EX? I understand the SX will have it all, but the EX I am asking about
I am not asking optional where KIA asks for a few grand to put the safety features. I asking what is included off of the shelf?

What is price in Guyana duty free
That's a good question - you'd have to check with a local dealer. Kia Motors Rudisa could help out but you might also be able to work with an importer
DOES NOT COME WITH A SPARE TIRE!!!
Is that mentioned anywhere in the video?
@@CarsWithSteve not sure. My salesman didnt tell me. Blew my mind when i found out 2 days later. Just trying to make sure peoole know to check
@@bwbeckn Ah fair enough. Not having a spare tire is becoming pretty common so thanks for pointing it out in a comment
