For anyone wanting to do this. Get the BadLands 3500 winch. Its just as good as the WARN. And it has 4 holes that will line up with the plate holes. The Free Spool actuator is much better as well. This 2500 has barely enough power to do very small jobs.
I bought the same winch. Mounted the control module in the front storage box. I also installed a handle bar winch rocker switch. You have to tap into the control module to get it too work. And tap into you power outlet for keyed power to switch. I did notice after not riding a few months that my battery was drained. I used a multimeter and found that the wireless receiver in the module was pulling 06.85 MA even when bike was completely off. If you run into that issue like I did, install a waterproof breaker switch inline with hot wire to battery. That way you can push a button and disconnect the winch until you need it. Great video. 👍
I've owned and still own bandland winches. They out do the top winches by far. Why spend more money 💰 on a winch that want work and outlast a badland winch?
Those badland winches are great have them on all my quads and trucks

Thanks
Great video. Very informative and motivated me purchase this real soon.
Thank you very much! This was extremely helpful.
It's actually called a fair lead as opposed to a guide rail.

Did You Ever Install The Snow Plow on your ATV? I have been looking for the Video......
No, unfortunately I ended up selling the ATV before I could.
Wouldn’t a 2500 “wench” make the front end too heavy?
Not at all, it’s not that heavy.
Is the control box water proof?
It’s supposed to be but I always look at these things as water resistant as I’m sure there are limits to “water proof”.
man those ubolts on the back side pissed me off!!! scratched the paint off my frame
Yep, me too. That’s why I used slightly larger ones instead of the smaller ones the kit came with.
@@DieselLegiance i ended up spraying some spray paint on it hoping it helps stop the rust
