GREAT VIDS!!! I LOVE MY OLD 01 KING QUAD enough to have another full rebuild on herive had mine since 04 bought er for 4500 bucks back then. ill never sell my king quad
What year is this one? I had an 1988 king quad. Somewhere in there. Red with blue shift levers like you have on gas tank. Im looking at a 2024 king quad 750.
Good video and thanks for the information, I have a 1994 300 king quad and you kinda fast forwared the installation of the winch bracket and where or how it fits on he quad. It looks like on mine there would be cutting and welding.
Good info...thanks for sharing. BTW. If you wanted to get a little less echo in the garage....they have those acoustic foam panels in Amazon cheap and they work wonders in garage spaces.
I had a 2004 bombardier "can am" outlander max 400 and really liked it. I took a outlander 650 twin for a ride and was impressed with the power. Also took an 800 outlander for a ride and scared myself.
I prefer synthetic and that’s what’s on my machines. The steel is what can with the badlands and my father in law is fine with it. If it were mine I would be swapping out the steel for rope
@@AppalachianMountainRiders you didn’t have to buy or make a winch mount plate? Have any pictures of what it looked like before the winch was mounted. I’d like to see what yours looked like so I could have an idea because I’m trying to mount a winch on my atv as well
Awesome 👌 job! Next should be an upgrade on headlights take led and some how put them on the big empty spots on the front fenders. Just a thought. Love the videos
I am thinking about getting a 4500 or 5000 lbs winch for my 2008 Yamaha rhino 700. I love the video's and the only thing your father in law quad is missing is a 20 inche led light bar on it
You should get a New battery to run this. No point in nice new winch and you need to jump start your rig everytime and wait at an idle for an hour to charge up the battery. I put a lipo in my polaris sportsman 850sp for my winch and lights and light bars ect. So much difference I love it. Also a rubber winch stopper then you don't have to crank the hook up to the bars even your not using it and risk binding it up
Get a Kawasaki. The Engines last forever as long as you do the Maintenance when it’s required. Plus, the 2 Ups are faster than the Hondas, Yamahas and others. Subscribed.
Im honda guy so course I'm going say 520 rubicon foot shift but if u want something with bigger bore look at cfmoto seen alot videos of them they look pretty good also they offer a 2 up version just stay away from polaris and can ham
I’ve owned a 660 and a 700 Grizzly in the past. Great quad and on my list just looking for something with a bit more power. Now if Yamaha slaps the 850 in a grizz I’m sold!
beautiful quad!! best quad!!! comfy on the trails hauls anything!!
Great video on the badlands winch, I just picked up a 5k for my rzr1000s. And your parkour skills are second to none!
Can Am. You'll be happy with any of their models. I had a Outlander 570 Max DPS. Did anything I asked.

I like his guys enthusiasm and energy haha.. good video
Enjoying the ATV videos. Looking forward to more......would also enjoy a budget build atv or even 3 wheeler build from ya. Happy new year!

Only thing wrong is you being in line with the cable. If that broke you may not have a head.
Can-Am Outlander all the way!
Nice video. "Not long enough", that's what she said.... literally🤣
We have the same Quad do you do any trail riding with yours
What will stop the engine first? Lack of oil or lack of gas lol
Yes she will PULL 👍
I have us pioneer 700-4, with this winch be big enough for that? Or what is your recommendation. Thank you
I would go with the 5000lb badlands winch for that. Only around $50 more than the 3500lb!
If I'm seeing this right you go with the steel cable. What's your opinion of synthetic rope.
I prefer synthetic and that’s what’s on my machines. The steel is what can with the badlands and my father in law is fine with it. If it were mine I would be swapping out the steel for rope
@@AppalachianMountainRiders If money was no concern. Would go with the warn VRX 3500 or the badlands 3500? Or perhaps a different brand?
I would honestly stay with the badlands. I have a warn on my X4 and I don’t see anything about it that would make me pick it over the badlands.
What mounting plate did you use for the winch?
It was already on there

What’s a 2 up? 🤷♂️

Koplin, moose make great plows I would get a center mount plow for it so it’s less stress on the frame of the old quad! Nice 👍 job on the install!
InstaBlaster...

Honda is a beast and are reliable
What size winch do you have on Mighty Mouse
3500lb
super low locking hubs.... low and slow with meaty tires could get you up that hill. ive done it with my stock dunlops on the ole king quad!!!
Looks like you are in Tennessee
Whatever happened to old Zippy :D

That’s what I’ve been highly considering. A two up 800 cforce. The 1000 cforce is suppose to come to the states this coming spring!
Go honda! Reliable beats power anyday.
Tree savers are not for saving trees they are for saving you from making them fall on you use one always especially on a dead tree
You know you got a good woman! You better treat her right. SUZUKI KING QUAD 750 with power steering.
Can am outlander 1000 max
Can Am!
2 up where you live
No legal in Ca
Im trying to resurrect a 89 Suzuki quad runner and a Yamaha big bear
You never hook your cable to itself
Brute Force 750.
Can Am are just too inconsistent on the reliability scale. Plus, they cost an arm and a leg to fix.
I have a Bf 750, hasn't been too reliable. Gotta tear it down now and replace timing chains and adjust valves.
Jason my wife says 700 grizzly
They are great machines...I’ve owned 2 of them😁
Sticking way too far out . Bump into anything and there goes the winch
Go for a Yamaha Grizzly 700, you can't go wrong. Oh, by the way, I own a P500, lol

That's a way... NOT to use a winch
😂😂😂
That should be powered directly from the battery there's a good chance that you will meltdown that wiring ....cuz it's going to pull too many amps...
